  1. I'll offer 133 on the remaining Alamo if it hasn't been taken.
  2. Well said and explained, daily reaction limits suck when I want to acknowledge and appreciate it. I suppose there's fun out of perseverence for some people, and really.. the roots of roleplay are found in improvisation so making do can work for the time being.
  3. I very much disagree with a lot of the points over what it doesn't provide as a social hub, however I do agree with all of the other points about it being an example out of many that would be waiting years to receive attention. I get it though now and massive props for explaining it, progression is limited through slow development and resource addition and it's pretty much become a red tape discussion at this point because it ultimately leads to the same conclusion. I still view it as poor implementation being the root cause, and an easy way for us to come to quickly assume that something isn't popular. Anything relevant and encouraged through demand and support will always flourish and gain interest. If not then yes, concepts will never take off from the ground and will be deemed unpopular and useless. It is what it is and sadly that probably mirrors quite a few things in this thread that would require the same attention.
  4. It's sad to see that this is the current state of progression, something I'll have to get used to. You've mentioned trucking though, do you think that anybody would go out of their way to operate haulage firms if it didn't have any impact on the server whatsoever? I think my point in all of this was that in any concept, no matter how viable it will require care and attention in order to make it attractive to the rest of the playerbase. Doing that with hundreds of concepts makes things a whole lot more difficult and challenging. More so if said care and attention involves script support or rule changes. Public transport however has always been a staple in legal roleplay across multiple platforms, specifically because of the interactions it generates through necessary depedencies on cheap and affordable transport. I'm surprised that it isn't emphasized enough on here, ease of access for personal transport being removed would create a chain effect in more street presence, financial advisory firms, social interactions, second hand car dealers, realistically portrayed social classes etc. It can go on forever but these are concepts that should've been implemented at the start of a roleplay platform, not in the middle of its lifetime due to the already existing economy.
  5. You've not really brought up any points that I hadn't already briefly touched on. I don't think anybody really gets to say what does and doesn't have interest on a server that is yet to find its balance in order to generously serve to various concepts. Not to mention that I always tend to consider that as the laziest of excuse, some of the most viable of concepts on this server struggle or better yet fail because it requires further support and planning in order to correct its implementation so that it becomes appealing. Of course though I'm rather new and optimistic when perhaps I shouldn't be, you're very much saying it as it is while taking into mind the servers current state which I still appreciate. I hope that this isn't the general tone of progression in the community though because otherwise what's the point of this topic if concepts are going to be shot down with the age old lack of interest argument?
  6. Public transport gives life to the streets and railways, creates opportunities and windows for so many avenues of roleplay, for not just legal roleplayers but also the illegal roleplayers too. It's tough to say that it will ever be depended on while taking into mind the ease of access for personal transport within the first few hours of playing a character. That ultimately leaves it as a passive choice for a roleplayer instead of by necessity, it then also leads to the question.. are people here to roleplay? I'd imagine with the community in its current state, there's a lot more of vicariously living out fantasies compared to those dedicating themselves to a characters journey and grind.
