I've never done it but it sounds like something fun if you're into it. Seems like you could expand a lot on the role and take it somewhere interesting.

Would love to see a whole billiards scene because the opportunity is there..... except for the fact that the billiards table is broken lol.

Honestly it's not a big deal. There are a lot of places that use QR codes to access a menu or some sort of information online. We live in a digital age, deal with it. The core of the issue is not the QR code, it's the lack of interaction after the QR code's use. Mechanic shops should be a place for RP to happen so much more than it does. Casual conversation is sorely underutilized. Strike up a conversation with the driver while you're working on their car. Make their time a little less unpleasant. Read the room. You can always tell who's there to be in-and-out and who's not. I don't know where we lost that part of the interaction. Now it's just "use the QR code" and "/me a bunch of random car details only a few people understand, here's your car its done have a nice day". I get we're supposed to be RP'ing a garage, but less focus on what size socket wrench you're using and more focus on the customer and their interaction / experience. The QR code is not the issue here.
