The Rolling 60's Neighborhood Crip's are a African American street gang located on the west side of south los santos that were founded in 1976 by a male by the name of “babyface” as a sub clique of the original west side crips, run by stanley “tookie” williams. their territory stretches from slauson avenue to florence avenue, between western avenue and around crenshaw boulevard. the 60s are known to be the largest african-american gang in all of los angeles county with the membership running anywhere from 6,000 to 8,000 but that isn’t all. the gang has expanded all across the country in locations such as new york/jersey, texas, georgia and missouri just to name a few. there are different theories in history as to where “rollin” & “Neighborhood” names have come from. One of the theories as to where “Rollin” came from was that 60th Street "rolled" through the entire neighborhood, which today extends 27 blocks from Slauson Avenue in the north to Florence Avenue in the south, and from Western Avenue in the east towards Overhill Drive in the west. A theory about where the moniker “Neighborhood” came from was that at a party in 1983, Several Rollin 60's said to some Rollin 90's members that both of their names ended in "0" and suggested they should unite and thus they donned the name “Neighborhood” for their new found alliance. Some of the gear that could be seen worn amongst the 60s include Baltimore Orioles sportswear, symbolizing their ties with the Rollin O's, the traditional New York Yankees or North Carolina Tar Heels sportswear, signifying their Neighborhood Crip affiliation. But more likely than not, most members would be seen rocking Seattle Mariners sportswear for the team’s trademark logo “S” standing for Sixties. Same would be said for Chicago White Sox sportswear. Violence In LS The Rollin’ 60s are also part of the reason as to why the Deuces’ and Treys’ cards were created. Their rivalry with the Eight Tray Gangster Crips was the first Crip on Crip rivalry in history and it caused the surrounding Crip gangs to pick a side as the violence was beginning to pour into their neighborhoods. Gangs that sided with the Rollin’ 60s adopted the Neighborhood Crips (Deuces) moniker into their name and the gangs that sided with Eight Tray adopted the Gangster Crips (Trays) moniker into their names.In addition to their forever lasting rivalry with the Gangster Crips, the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips are naturally hostile towards all Bloods sets. Their closest Blood rivals are the Van Ness Gangster Brims, whose neighborhood is located directly just north of 60's turf. The 60s are also considered enemies of the Inglewood Family Gang who are directly located to their south. Their other Blood rivals include the Inglewood Neighborhood Pirus, Harvard Park Brims, Fruit Town Brims, Rollin 20s Neighborhood Bloods, Crenshaw Mafia Gang and the Black P Stones.The Rollin’ 60s are allied with most gangs under the Neighborhood and the Rollin 0's Umbrella such as the 46, 48 & 67 Neighborhood Crips, the East Coast Crips, Raymond Avenue Crips, the West Boulevard Crips, Rollin 20s Long Beach Crips, Rollin 30s Harlem Crips, Rollin 50s Neighborhood Crips, Rollin 90s Neighborhood Crips and the Rollin 100s Crips. Once upon a time, the Rollin 60's and all the Rollin 0's were allied but that is no longer the case, as they have an on and off again issue with the Rollin’ 40s Neighborhood Crips. Amongst the Crips, the Rollin 60's have went to war with the 59, 83 & 74 Hoover Criminals Gang, the 52 Hoover Gangster Crips, the 43 Gangster Crips, the 51 Trouble Gangster Crips, Grape Street Watts Crips, all Avalon Gangster Crips, and the School Yard Crips. ALLIANCES & RIVALS Partners include Neighbor Hood Crips, 67 Neighbor Hood Crips, 55 Neighbor Hood Crips, 46 Neighbor Hood Crips, as well as the East Coast Crips.
