Just don't bring heat to the trap house, or stash it elsewhere if heat is brought to the trap-house. Been RPing illegal, on this server, for almost 4 years. Only had it raided, once, as I was RPing a hot-head char.

You're either missing the point of the thread or ignoring it on purpose. The issue is that if you get raided and they find a ton of drugs, you get nowhere near a life sentence. If you get arrested for a murder you can also land below life sentence criminal points. That's the level of severity the penal code was designed with on purpose. But if they catch you with more than a few guns then you enter life sentence range criminal points.

It's nothing to do with taking responsibility or laying low, it's just that the combination of penal code + the way they stack charges + the way those points are added up and prosecuted, does not make sense compared to other more-severe crimes.

  2. Example of a court case where a dude got 44 criminal points:

    • FC 712. Unlawful Possession of Ammunition

    • FC 123. Money Laundering - No Bail

    • FC 711. Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon

    • FC 711. Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon

    • FC 711. Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon

    • FC 711. Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon

    • FC 711. Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon

    • FC 711. Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon

Meanwhile if he just killed someone, he'd probably not even get close to 30.

  3. There's been a practice happening lately and in the past, where arresting officers and DA prosecutors would catch someone with a handful of guns, and then charge each firearm as a separate felony charge; one gives 5 criminal points and you can do the math for how much points you'd get for 3-4-5 firearms (plus the points from the ammunition charge).

This leads to characters ending up with more criminal points and jail time for gun charges than they would get for a murder charge or drug trafficking. If you have 0 criminal points and get caught with a handful of guns and ammunition, you easily get over 30+ criminal points and a life sentence. It sets a bad precedent where a gang RPer can get raided, have a couple guns, and end up with a life sentence just because of that.

This seems very unbalanced, not well thought out, and like an oversight of how our penal code should be applied. It'd be like instead of getting charged for drug trafficking, you get a separate charge for every ounce of dope.

I'm making this thread in an effort for admins to hopefully notice how broken this is and help rectify it.

  4. TTCF's custody staff activity shouldn't matter all that much when deciding to implement Bolingbroke. We have an awesome prison location in GTA 5's map and this server isn't going to be around for eternity. We should make full use of it while we can and have fun (even if it's for just 2 months). It's a very simple idea which has a lot of people interested. It's not fair to disregard it because of bureaucracy, legal faction politics, or what other factions have at stake. The only thing that should matter is providing fun to players in a lifelike way which is what this game is about. You could argue that hospitals in-game are pointless too because they're empty 95% of the time you enter them, but at the end of the day they have a functionality and they provide fun to those involved in that type of role play, which is what's important.

The truth is that even at its best, TTCF's potential will never match that of a state prison setting. The role play depth of a correctional officer in prison will always be greater than that of a custody deputy in jail. Prison mapping will be superior because it's a bigger institution; imagine a big riot in the prison yard versus the small jail roof yard. Prison gang factions will be more at home and not have to do mental gymnastics for why lifers are in jail. Politics, stabbings, and murders will make more sense. You can have gang shot callers in special housing units with separate yards that you can only meet there. You can role play your post-sentencing prison term without fast forwarding it. Less corruption tier bureaucracy for prison staff to jump through if they want to smuggle in a bag of tobacco. And so on and so on.

  5. Adding Bolingbroke Prison will revitalize prison gang factions and give the scene an activity boom. It should at least be considered as a seasonal thing if there's fears it'll become inactive down the line. It'll also provide the server with opportunity to role play something players have never done before. With the right mapping, the differences between jail and prison will be noticeable, and prison would be a great improvement on the current incarceration experience.

You just need to entrust the project to staff/payers who have an interest in Bolingbroke & SADCR actually happening and aren't tied up in other projects.

  6. 1. Remove jail and just have a prison. There won't be enough activity to split inmates between two facilities. And there's no point keeping an empty interior.

    2. Add a well-mapped Bolingbroke State Prison and a well-organized SADCR with the main objective being to have fun (the nerd shit can come later).

    3. People enjoy it and give it a try. Jail character slots become prison character slots. Gives the server some never been done before opportunities.

    4. If down the line it becomes terminally inactive or permanently understaffed or an issue that can't be fixed... You revert back to TTCF & LSSD.

It's better to take a risk and try something fresh even if it only works for a limited amount of time. I'm sure people on the server would enjoy giving it a try. SD would probably enjoy a break from the jail they're not really super dedicated to in the first place. Prison gangs would enjoy role playing in a real prison. Players would enjoy a new legal faction without a status quo.

White gangs in California fall under a peckerwood umbrella or a skinhead umbrella due to the state's prison politics playing a major part in how white gangs function. A peckerwood (or wood) is what a white inmate is known as in prison. The majority of peckerwoods in prison are not gang members; they simply roll with their race (the whites) and their county (where they're from). Those who join gangs are a different breed who commit themselves to a more serious lifestyle. White gang politics revolve around two things: prison and drugs. Your stereotypical active gang member is a drug addict committing crimes to support his habit and is in-and-out of correctional institutions.

The Aryan Brotherhood (AB) is the most-dominant white gang in the state of California. It started in 1967* as a way for white inmates to protect themselves from other races and since then has grown into one of the most infamous criminal enterprises in the US. They've been known to be involved in murders, drug trafficking, extortion, as well as collecting "tax" from white criminals*. The AB have a very selective recruitment, with the majority of their membership incarcerated in prison, and a minority ending up on the streets where members and associates* ^ continue their criminal involvement. The gang spent most of the last three decades stuck in solitary confinement security housing units, as prison officials tried to contain their influence over the rest of the inmate population, until a hunger strike and federal lawsuit forced them to end that practice in 2015. Most white gang members aspire to become "brothers" in the AB because of the power and reputation it gives them among their people. The AB is also known as the Brand, the One Two, and Alice Baker. Their main symbol is the shamrock and joining is referred to as "earning your rock". Recent activity: In 2015, two AB associates murder an inmate with ties to the Black Guerilla Family and Black Panthers*; the hit was ordered by the AB and carried out on the prison yard. In 2016, an AB associate murders an inmate over a drug debt owed to the gang; two years later he murders another target of the gang, just 32 minutes after the victim is moved to his cell*. In 2016, an AB member and his associates were arrested for carrying out a home invasion robbery which ended in a homicide*. In 2016, numerous AB members are involved in a drug trafficking operation in California and other states, including a contraband smuggling operation into prisons. In 2016, an AB member stabs and murders an inmate in prison. In 2018, two AB members stab and murder an inmate in prison*. In 2020, 102 gang associates were arrested in Operation "Lucky Charms" which involved drug trafficking and illegal firearms; among the indicted is an AB member and his two associates who controlled the operation from inside prison. In 2021, law enforcement agencies carried out Operation "Shamrock Shake" which targeted AB associates on the streets involved in drug trafficking and identity theft*.

Public Enemy Number 1 (PENI), also known as PENI Death Squad (PDS)*, is a skinhead gang active in Southern California. The gang started in Long Beach in 1986 during the punk rock gang era. Later it transformed into a street/prison gang as members began to get incarcerated and the criminal element became more serious. Members* ^ are heavily involved in drug sales, identity theft, and assaults. Their primary hub of activity in Los Angeles is Long Beach with some members also being active in South Bay and the San Fernando Valley. Many skinhead gang members aspire to join PENI because it's seen as the big skinhead gang and the number two to the AB. The gang's symbols are PENI, PDS, 737, the Rudimentary Peni fetus, the Pittsburgh Pirates hat, as well as the black bandana. Members throw up a capital P as a gang sign. Recent activity: In 2012, a PENI member is arrested for a string of bank robberies*. In 2013, members and associates of PENI are arrested for a counterfeit scheme involving fake money*. In 2015, a PENI member, who was just released from prison, was involved in the murder of a bar patron after a dispute*. In 2016, two members of PENI were arrested for trafficking drugs from California through Idaho after they crashed their car*. In 2016, members of PENI were involved in a robbery-extortion plot backed by the AB which resulted in a motel homicide*. In 2017, a PENI member was arrested for a home invasion robbery during which firearms and a vehicle were taken from the victim*. In 2019, a member of PENI was involved in a homicide in prison*. In 2019, a PENI member is arrested for parole violation at his residence; he's found in possession of a firearm (with the serial number scratched off), narcotics, and gang paraphernalia*. In 2020, two PENI members were arrested with 600 grams of methamphetamine, five firearms, and five vehicles which were fraudulently obtained via identity theft*. In 2020, a PENI member is arrested during a traffic stop after police find a stolen firearm and over 100 grams of methamphetamine and heroin. In 2022, two PENI members were shot and killed in Pomona*. In 2022, a PENI member is arrested by a gang task force after a search warrant; he's found in possession of a firearm, methamphetamine, and gang paraphernalia*.

The Nazi Low Riders (NLR) is a white gang which started in the late 1970s in the California Youth Authority system before spreading to state prisons. Soon after they were groomed by the AB to become their footsoldiers and carry out tasks on their behalf. Largely dormant during the 1980s, the NLR rapidly grew during the mid-to-late 1990s and became the biggest white gang in the state. They were active both in prison and on the streets* where the drug-crazed outlaw lifestyle of their members* ^ * ^ * ^ * ^ helped coin the term "needle nazi"*. As they grew in size and influence, some remained loyal to the AB, while others wanted to break off to be independent and no longer take orders. In 1999, state corrections classified the NLR as a prison gang, and housed them in solitary confinement with the rest of the major prison gangs. During the next two decades, members dropped out in great numbers due to falling out of favor because of politics, or debriefing to leave solitary confinement. Some of those in good standing graduated to become members of the AB*. This considerably shrunk the gang to the point where they weren't a factor anymore. You'll hear things ranging from "they were all greenlit" to "the AB made them stop recruiting". Symbols of the gang are the NLR letters and the number 44. A popular slogan is "Don't Slip, Don't Slide, Nazi Lowride". Recent activity: In 2014, an NLR member wanted for attempted murder leads police on a car chase that ends in his arrest*. In 2020, an incarcerated NLR member on death row attacked and slashed a correctional officer with a homemade weapon*

San Fernando Valley Peckerwoods* is a peckerwood gang with presence over cities/communities such as Chatsworth, Granada Hills, Canoga Park, Tujunga, North Hollywood, Burbank, Reseda, Tarzana, and others*. SFV is one of the biggest county cars for whites in prison due to the number of people from the area who become incarcerated. Most of them run under this banner because they're white and it's where they're from, and don't think of it as a gang, however there's peckerwoods who consider it a gang and consider themselves members of said gang, and so does law enforcement*. The name variation Peckerwood Gangsters (PWG) is often attached or identified with in relation to the gang*. The letters SFV are the most popular tattoo (usually seen on the stomach area) and are earned by participating in an act of violence in prison (race riot, assault, stabbing). Another symbol is the 818 area code, the number 23 for W, and the number 2316 for WP*. In 2016, law enforcement arrested members of the gang for crimes related to car theft, identity theft, and drug sales, and placed an injunction on several properties used as gang hangouts*. It included an arrest of a member who detonated a pipe bomb at a rival member's home.

San Gabriel Valley Peckerwoods is another peckerwood gang that's spread across cities like Pasadena, Pomona, Covina, Azusa, and others*. It's identical to the SFV Peckerwoods in most ways; it's more organized in prison than on the streets; some treat it as a gang affiliation while others just identify with it in prison; the most popular symbol is the SGV letters that are earned and the 626 area code*. Another smaller white gang from the SGV is Covina Boyz (CBZ)*; a peckerwood gang based in the city of Covina. They use C as a gangsign and often wear Cincinnati Reds caps*. Going more north to the Antelope Valley you can find the Palmdale Peckerwoods (PPW)* ^. Others just identify as Antelope Valley Peckerwoods. In 2014, a PPW member on parole was arrested for possession of 60 grams of methamphetamine for sale*. Other groups, cars, or terms you would hear whites identify with would be Long Beach Peckerwoods, South Bay Peckerwoods, Santa Clarita Valley Peckerwoods, and so on, but they're more of a banner for whites from those regions in prison than an organized gang.

San Fernando Valley Skinheads (SFVS)* is a skinhead gang active in the region of the San Fernando Valley. It's also used as an umbrella term for skinheads from the SFV*. Satanic Skinheads (SS)* is another skinhead gang that's gained traction and is active in the San Fernando Valley but elsewhere as well* ^. Satanic imagery is common symbolism among some members* (666, pentagrams, demons), as well as the abbreviation SSFV. They throw up an S as a gangsign* and sometimes use the devil horns handsign. The number 1919 is also used as an identifier (19 = S). Other skinhead gangs you can run into in the SFV are Chatsworth Skinheads (CSH)*, White Aryan Resistance (WAR), and Hate Gang (HG)*, who often get recruited into bigger gangs.

Antelope Valley Skinheads (AVS)* is the main skinhead gang in the Antelope Valley (Palmdale and Lancaster)*. In 2016, three AVS members were arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and hate crime charges*. In 2020, police shot and killed a member of AVS which led to protests in the city*. Metal Minds (MM)* is a skinhead gang from the AV that's most active in Lancaster. Members* ^ identify with the color red, Metal Mulisha gear, and throw up capital M as gangsigns*. Members look more like gangbangers than traditional skinheads*. In 2014, an MM member was arrested for vehicle theft, a string of car break-ins, and stealing mail*. In 2017, an AVS/MM member was arrested for an attempted murder shooting*. Deadline Family Skinheads (DFS)* is a skinhead gang active in the Santa Clarita Valley region but also with activity in nearby Antelope Valley. Deadline Tattoo in Ventura was a location that was associated with the gang due to members working there and hanging out*. Members of DFS typically get a pair of skinhead boots tattooed on their rib-cage as a gang patch*. In 2013, sheriff's deputies shot and killed a DFS member after he pointed a gun at them*.

Long Beach Hardcore (LBHC)* is a skinhead gang from Long Beach and Lakewood*. South Bay Skinheads (SBS) is a skinhead gang active in the South Bay area. They started during the punk rock scene boom of the 1980s and were one of the first skinhead cliques. There's anti-racist/trad skinheads in the South Bay who use the same name to identify with but the two are different groups. Baby Blue Wrecking Crew (BBWC)* is a small peckerwood gang from the South Bay area. They identify with the baby blue color*. In 2023, a BBWC member was responsible for the murder of his cellmate in prison*. Venice White Boys (VWB)* is a peckerwood gang from Venice. Although not as active as it once was, you can still run into members on the street, jail, or prison*.

La Mirada Punks (LMP)* is a predominantly white peckerwood/skinhead gang from Southeast Los Angeles. LMP was founded in 1979 and was one of the early punk rock gangs during the peak of the scene in the 1980s. Despite the name they also have presence in cities outside of La Mirada, such as Whittier, Norwalk, and La Habra. As time passed, with members* ^ becoming incarcerated, prison politics creeping through, and the white supremacy influence, LMP eventually morphed from a punk gang into a more serious street gang. This evolution helped them survive and remain active while other punk gangs died away with the music scene. LMP also became connected with more influential gangs such as PENI with whom they're part of an unofficial alliance. Even though they call themselves punks, a lot of the active members identify as skinheads or run with the skinheads in prison due to gang politics. Other than the three letter LMP abbreviaton, members also use the number 567, along with the Misfits skull. There's a number of Hispanic LMP members who don't identify with the white gang politics. In 2012, an LMP member is arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell after law enforcement execute a search warrant*. He was also charged for carrying out a gang-related assault* and a murder conspiracy plot while in jail for the previous charges*. In 2015, a book titled "Disco's Out...Murder's In!" was released, detailing the early days of the gang. In 2017, members and associates of LMP were charged for their involvement in a credit card skimming operation*.

Inactive/defunct punk and stoner gangs: Los Angeles Death Squad (LADS) was the biggest punk gang during the 1980s era. It started in Hollywood (Westside LADS) and then expanded to Lakewood/Long Beach (Southside LADS). The LADS were a predominantly white gang with some Hispanic members. The Hollywood LADS weren't an active part of white gang politics, and weren't big on the criminal lifestyle, and fizzled out when the punk rock scene died away. A lot of the SS LADS, who were more gang-oriented than their Hollywood counterpart, claimed 'LADS 13' and ran with the Sureños in prison* (which eventually died out as well). The white LADS serving time in prison, who ran with the skinheads, rebranded as Lethal Aryan Death Squad (LADS)*, which is the only active part of the LADS with a criminal element nowadays. Other inactive punk gangs from the 1980s were Fight For Freedom*, Circle One Family (also known as South Bay Family), and Burbank Punk Organization. Suicidals were another big punk gang but they were a mixed-race gang although they had many white members as well. Stoner gangs were popular in the 70s and 80s and predated punk gangs. Some examples are the Paramount Stoners (PMS), Bellflower Stoners (BFS), and Hollywood Stoners (HWS). The majority of them are inactive and defunct but it's possible to run into an older gang member who's still claiming membership in one* ^. Another gang from that era which became defunct due to changing racial demographics in their community are the Bell Gardens White Boys (BGWB)* ^.

~ Active white gangs in the Greater Los Angeles Metropolitan area (Orange County, Inland Empire and Ventura County) ~

Without going into too much detail, because I want this to be focused on the white gangs in Los Angeles County, I'll list some active white gangs from those areas: Orange County Skinheads (OCS), Huntington Beach Hardcore (HBHC), West Side Costa Mesa (WSCM), North West Orange County (NWOC), Fuck Shit Up (FSU) (not related to the hardcore crew), Gestapo Gangsters (GG), Insane White Boys (IWB). The majority of gangs in OC claim skinhead. Inland Empire Peckerwoods (IEPW), COORS Family Skinheads (CFS), Inland Empire Skinheads (IES), Riverside Skinheads (RSSH), Crazy White Boys (CWB), Kross Family Skinheads (KFS), Freak Boys (FBS), High Desert Peckerwoods (HDPW), White Power Gangsters (WPG). The Inland Empire is a hub for white supremacy activity. Skinhead Dogs (SHD) is the main white gang in Ventura County, with another gang being the East End Ventura Locals (EEVL).

~ Misconceptions about white gangs (shit people get wrong) ~

Names & Territories: White gangs are non-territorial. They don't engage in turf wars with non-white gangs. They don't claim streets or neighborhoods but rather function out of residences that are used as drug houses. They utilize motels as places to live out of and conduct their business. Their modus operandi is to lay low, sell drugs, and do their own thing. White gangs don't name themselves after streets or neighborhoods because they're not limited in territory like that. They're active across the entire city or region their membership resides in which is why they tend to have bigger geographical names as their moniker.

Peckerwood/Wood shortened: It's been a trend for peckerwood gangs on the server to put the word 'Woods' in their name instead of 'Peckerwoods'. While wood may be short for peckerwood, gangs formally use the full word as part of their name. It's Palmdale Peckerwoods (PPW), not Palmdale Woods (PW). It's Oildale Peckerwoods (OPW), not Oildale Woods (OW). It's Inland Empire Peckerwoods (IEPW), not Inland Empire Woods (IEW). And so on.

Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs & Prison Gangs: Outlaw bikers don't meddle in white gang politics and aren't utilized as soldiers on behalf of white gangs. They're part of different scenes and cultures. Their relationship boils down to business ventures and individual bikers going along with the program in state prisons. This is mentioned in relation to people making characters part of outlaw motorcycle clubs and then trying to become AB/NLR top dogs.

Doing time: Getting incarcerated is a big part of peckerwood culture, and prison is where politics play out on the highest level, and where the most influential white gangsters are. White criminals build their reputation by programming in prison and putting in work. Doing time is seen as a rite of passage. Role playing a white gang member in your mid-to-late-20s or older, who's never been arrested, would probably mean you only had one foot in the lifestyle. It's the equivalent to having a Sureño character that got put on in his 30s.

Hair vs No Hair: People on this server think that if you role play a skinhead, you need to stay bald forever. That's wrong. If you look at mugshots/pictures, you'll see that a lot of skinheads released from prison grow their hair out to blend in with society. People also think that if you're a peckerwood, you're supposed to have hair, as to not get confused with a skinhead. That's also wrong. A lot of peckerwoods shave their heads too, because they like how they look bald, or because they're balding.

Kids & White Gangs: A stereotype on the server is that white gang members are teenage latchkey kids on BMXes who smoke pot and get into shenanigans out of boredom. In reality, the drug epidemic is the number one reason for white people getting incarcerated. The career criminals who end up in-and-out of prison are often individuals who battle with drug addiction their whole life and resort to committing crime to support their habit; people who struggled with education and maybe dropped out of school; people who deal with homelessness or an uncertain living situation; and often but not necessarily, people from broken homes. It's prison that leads white people into joining gangs, it's not community-based like with other-race gangs jumping you in from a young age.

"The prisons are breeding bigger criminals: because you stick a bunch of people in there, like — I’ll give you an example … Like: Sally. Sally from the rich area of Orange County has a son named Scotty. And Scotty is — is a surfer dude. And he’s — he’s just a really clean cut looking guy: GQ looking — and because he becomes addicted to … uh; opiates or oxycontin, or the pharmaceutical drugs that are so prevalent in our high schools; because he — because he becomes addicted to that he ends up becoming a heroin addict, and he ends up going to prison. And while he’s in prison, Sally’s — Sally’s son Scotty becomes a skinhead. You know — just surviving in there, you know he might get tattoos … and … it’s — it’s a gang breeding area."
