  1.  the air unit is OP and dumb lol I've never understood this obsession with realism. Real LA isn't like 20 km total area and doesn't have max 600 people out in the street in any given day. The air unit can pretty well stomp out all crime RP. It should be that air units needs to be paged when needed rather than just patrolling around.

  2. Air units 'patrolling' is stupid as hell and shouldn't be allowed. You'll catch nearly every criminal act if you just float between Jamestown, Vespucci and whatever the open businesses at the time are. It's a powergame dream and needs to be changed ASAP. Stacking charges is just typical OOC play 2 win and also shouldn't be happening. Should be changed!

  3. Ideally you're deriving enjoyment from roleplay and not forcing people to sit in ttcf for lengthy sentences. TTCF is not admin jail. illegal factions are the people truly held to a higher standard in terms of reports/punishment. Rule suggestions like this would only harm roleplayers while noobs afk to collect their 200k starter cheque and go again.

    That isn't the missing puzzle at all. Hate to be that guy but I'll just say what everyone's thinking but they're too afraid of speaking up.

    You wanna know what's the missing puzzle? Good roleplay. Look at the illegal scene in 2021 and early 2022 versus now. Was the roleplay quality any better? Not necessarily; there was plenty good factions open, but most were mid anyway. What made roleplay fun was the activity, you could go pretty much anywhere in SC and run into people. Currently the entire south central feels like a ghost town at peak, unless you go in game at very specific times.

    There's too much insight, yet it leads to physically nothing. Do you know what a typical timespan of a faction looks like these days? Two or three weeks at most, try and figure out where the longevity comes from.

    You spend a week preparing the thread, researching the concept you wanna portray, another few days waiting on your group to get approved.

    You roleplay for a week, do passive roleplay, sure, get some screenshots going.

    You wanna hit a lick? Well, you can't. The rules make it impossible now.

    You wanna beef another faction? Well, chances are they're absolute idiots and don't know how to develop realistic beef and the "war" will turn into one of the following:
    a) brawls back to back, literally making it impossible for yourself or your faction members to have any meaningful roleplay without getting into a brawl;
    b) shootings back to back, until either of the rosters is full of PK'd names;
    c) they're crybabies and any attempt at interaction ends up with a forum report lasting 3 weeks and bringing nothing of essence other than an ajail for a petty offense on either end, or a void of the situation.

    You wanna get supplier and obtain a steady source of firearms and drugs for your faction to keep generating roleplay? Well, go type up 20 applications if the supplier applications are even open at the moment. Assuming you do get one, have fun doing anything with 10 guns a month in a 30 man faction.

    You wanna get a scheme? Well, those are closed or you simply cannot get one because you haven't racked up 40 hours on your character.

    You wanna rob a house? Well, you can use /robhouse and come up 10K at most. /breakin isn't a feasible alternative.

    You wanna get a property to facilitate roleplay for your faction? Have fun jumping through hoops and arguing with PM/IFM why it's realistic for your 16 old character to "own" a traphouse.

    Assuming you don't run into any of the issues, you might actually have a chance to have fun roleplaying a gang, otherwise it simply isn't fun. IFM needs to wake up and listen to the community. The server has to stop catering to people who don't have any idea what they're roleplaying.

    Very true. Illegal roleplay at this point is pmuch jumping through hoops to avoid reports and DMing noobs. You have very little agency as a player to do much of anything without constantly thinking about potential rule breaks / required authorizations to do certain schemes etc. It's really not surprising at all that the quality and quantity of illegal facs has dipped significantly. It's a headache!

  5. I think the largest thing clogging reports is people posting thesis papers for something that could be summarized in two sentences. You typically find these forum lawyers on petty reports like plugs talking about. That along with the constant back and forth you see on many reports as people try to get the last word in makes it so much more grueling to get through.

    Progression to supervisor is rightfully restricted by a player’s ability to be assertive and police teamspeak use because failing to do so means that teamspeak has the possibility of being overused, leading to metagaming. Supervisors are expected to maintain a level of decorum in a situation on that basis. If you aren’t speaking up to tell everyone else to quiet down or to clear a channel before people begin saying things that can be typed IC, then it’s a confidence issue.

    The reality is nobody is moderating teamspeak man. Its rampant in legal factions but people would rather pretend that the party channels of 10 people are not having a negative impact on roleplay and continue as is. Metagaming in teamspeak is an issue.

    If you read what was previously posted here you'd know that all LEO rifles are "semi-locked" except for SWAT/SEB. If they are used in automatic by regular cops then they're powergaming.

    Yes I understand I meant to say semi locked via the script, there are rifles in-game that are locked to semi
