A lot of good advice here, but a main key is knowing when to retire a character. Someone mentioned having characters with fingers in every pie, which is a common issue. Too many people don't CK/retire their character, and their whole character story just becomes a mess. So take the advise from these guys but also remember if your character becomes weird and over-involved in everything, there's no shame in trying again.

The main problem is when people inject themselves in an RP scenario that doesn't involve their character, nor makes sense to involve themselves.

It's an issue which has been addressed countless times. I suppose the only thing you can really do to fight it is RPQM reports. Then it's up to the staff to talk to the player behind the character who is the PF warrior / CCW vigilante. They can determine whether or not they are accurately portraying their character by injecting themselves rather than calling the authorities?

I absolutely dislike frequent typos and poor grammar. (If they're roleplaying someone who doesn't speak English they get a pass, so long as they're doing it properly) I would report every case of this, but the amount of time reports take is just not worth it.
