The only people pushing so hard against the rulings ARE the rule breakers who have a lack of care for actual roleplay, if these rulings went away we'd just end up back where we were, the server has felt like so much better of an enviroment to rp in since these rules were introduced as there has been a fall in bad robbery RP, (which is 90% of it.) I'd rather not see a return to 3 deep 100k+ value cars robbing a homeless person as admins are too busy to deal with idiots who do the same shit on repeat and basically refuse to roleplay, posting one liners and actively avoiding searching (which they consider stalling because they are only here to win.) I have also seen a disturbing rise in strip searches lmao. At best you'd lose a jacket and shoes.

I'm not sure I'd call any of this metagame, moreso you seeing an issue with portrayal. At the end of the day in regards to robberies legal roleplayers (who you seem to be taking issue with) are often targetted for robberies and can be robbed multiple times a week if they are unlucky. Most legal roleplayers don't want to roleplay the psychological effects of something they don't really want to happen in the first place. So in respect to their ongoing atorylines they decide against letting such a one off event bring the rest of their roleplay down. I have also seen other legal roleplayers who have decided to let constant robberied effect their character and have seen how this has led to them keeping entirely to themselves and never going out- perhaps that is why you don't see people reacting strongly ICly to robberies? In addition how would these things clash with your characters point of view in character? Just doesn't make sense to me. People in America, especially LA use phrases such as Bro/Dude no matter their gender. Do you have issues with women using phrases you percieve to be maculine? Seems pretty misogynistic.

Short description: Holster weapons (namely firearms) by default upon equipping from the I menu. Detailed description: I am probably going to receive a lot of flack from people who abuse this feature for even suggesting this. But I have been informed that firearms when equipped from the I menu skip the scrolling animation. This should not be the case as I feel as if skipping weapons animations makes firefights highly abuseable, in particular I have been informed that while say the Mini-Smg has a longer scroll animation this can be entirely circumvented by simply equipping the gun (from the I menu). Of course it is rather obvious how abusable this is and I feel like it will only lead to subpar roleplayers abusing the mechanic to deathmatch. By fixing this (by automatically holstering upon equip) I feel as if there will be far less instances of people randomly pulling out large, clunky automatic weapons with no downside as they can simply equip/unequip once the firefight is over. I feel like since this is also rather difficult to prove you can't really report players for abusing this to skip unholster animations. I also feel like by changing this it would allow for more consistency with the animation update provided a couple of months back. I also feel as if guns should be holstered by default upon equipping either way as it isn't realistic to suddenly -have- a gun in hand when it being unequipped implies it is concealed on your body, rather than somewhere you could easily reach for. It would help cull abuse of animation skipping during moments in which this should be reportable and overall improve quality of roleplay in general. In addition, it allows for more realistic roleplay when potentially concealing a gun.

It's a great idea. I also feel like it would be great for providing more ways for my character to wear hats without having to decide on a hairtie or hairstyle that reduces clipping. Especially with the newly added beanie-hair.

(I am not a trucker, just relaying information I have gathered from discussions with other players.) Upon discussion in the public discord it has come into my awareness that there has been a massive shortage of components for stores on the server. While everyone may be blaming mechanics and how inactive they have became after the introduction of new cars, this is not the case. Mechanics have been able to cite a lack of components. In addition to this many script businesses on the server have been completely void of components in recent times (24/7s, tattoo stores, etc.) Upon talking with both mechanics and truckers on the server I have discovered that one thing is at fault. The problem truckers have begun to face where illegal rpers will target them for robberies as they remain rather easy targets. (They have to stop to pick stock up from rather isolated areas, making them an easy target.) In recent times very few players have wanted to truck due to the job feeling grindy in the first place and this is without having to worry about being robbed. Now that there has been a plague of truckers being robbed many no longer feel like working out of fear they will be robbed. Because of this many businesses on the server just haven't been able to serve players. This has become a serious issue at present as many isolated areas have become void of RP as truckers don't want to deliver there. Therefore I propose that going forward truckers who are on shift (In work vehicles) remain 'crime free' targets for robberies in order to prevent the shortage of components businesses are facing.
