The Papadopoulos Connection Greek Organized Crime in Hawick and Alta The Papadopoulos Connection is a rather small group of Greeks based in the Alta/Hawick Area. This group is known for their relative exclusivity and cooperation with other local powers in the region, such as various Italian and Armenian crews. The makeup of this Greek organization is very homogenous, mainly consisting of blood relatives (close and/or distant), but surely all Greek. The group has been noted as heavily nationalist and Pro-Greek, moving to the States after the ban on their political party; The Golden Dawn (Greece). The Papadopoulos Connection notably participates in acts of Murder, Extortion, Fraud, Drug/Human trafficking, and illegal gambling operations.
