  2. Optional? Sure, doesn't hurt. Mandatory? No, the 24 hour clock is the best way of timekeeping and changing it would be stupid.

    I don't understand where everybody is getting the potential for abuse from? This isn't a fasttravel system and nobody is saying you should be allowed to select where on the map you spawn each time you log in. You set one spawnpoint (the station you're assigned to) and thats it. You're obviously not allowed to randomly change your spawnpoint to TTCF if a riot is going on just to spawn there quicker. Just make it so people can choose their faction spawn from a list of options once per X days (7,14,30) and then on the spawn menu it says faction property and it spawns them at the one they've predetermined. Nobody wants this feature in order to travel across the map faster and even if there were no script controls in place I can't see anybody doing that without getting caught straight away anyway, atleast the way SD is set up.
  4. I wish rain was more common and lasted for hours rather than 20 minutes tops. It'd add variety and makes roleplay more interesting. Other weather types would be cool to add also.

    What potential for abuse is there that isn't the same as owning a house in Paleto? You could teleport across the map that way. Not everybody has the money, the availability or the want to buy a house on the server.

    People can do this anyway by logging out and then just spawning at the airport. I don't think we should not add useful features because some bad apples want to abuse them. What? Why would cops be teleporting north or south depending on the action... have you ever actually been inside of a LEO faction lol You'd spawn in at the station you're assigned to, it isn't a fast travel system where you can log out and log back in to get across the map faster. I really doubt anybody would waste the large amount of hours of effort spent getting into a LEO faction to misuse this and teleport across the map and if they do then punish them? It isn't realistic for cops to spawn in the middle of Forum Drive after crashing and having to either /fspawn and start your patrol their or /fixveh and drive to the station either but that's the current state of the server. This will have legitimately zero impact on illegal roleplay and I think you're greatly overestimating the potential for abuse with this. This script was on LSRP since 2014~ and I didn't see or hear of anybody abusing it in the 6 years I played. Cops literally already spawn at their workplace, I'd say 90% of LEO roleplayers log off at their station already to set their spawn when they log in next. The idea that everybody goes off duty and drives home to quit is just a fantasy lol.

    So spawning in your car in a random location you or it would not realistically be and driving to the station is better roleplay than just spawning at the station? How does this make anybody a robocop? Holding W from your apartment to the station is not the mark of a good police roleplayer. People have limited time to play the game and if they've joined a law enforcement faction I'm sure they'd rather spend that time actually roleplaying and having fun than spending 5-10 minutes driving to and from their house ontop of the 20 minute loading time.

    The majority of people just drive back to their station to quit anyway, this doesn't exactly change much other than it accounting for situations such as your game crashing in the middle of nowhere, deciding you don't want to spend 20 minutes getting back in game at 1am and then having to somehow struggle your way back to the station the next day with no vehicle. I don't see how that boosts roleplay. People who want to roleplay commuting still can.

    The argument that you should rent a place nearby for roleplay is moot. How does that increase roleplay at all? Do you think people are going to log in and cook breakfast before they head out? No. People who have logged in to go on duty want to go on duty and they'll just end up heading straight from their property to the station anyway; this just cuts down inconvenience and monotonous tasks that aren't fun. I support.
  10. A lot of people have learnt and improved their English through playing text roleplay games. Judging from your post your English is miles above some people I have seen playing the server already so you shouldn't be worried about not being up to par. Jump in and have some fun and aslong as people can make out what you're trying to say you'll be fine.
  11. I'd like more rain and for it to last long than an hour or two. A forecast option would be great however I don't know how feasible this is since I'm guessing the weather is randomized.
  12. I like the current system. I wouldn't go out of my way to check advertisements every 5 minutes and so would definitely miss out on roleplay opportunities or an asset being listed for sale. The current system allows for things to catch your eye. If anything just make a way to toggle the adverts from appearing in your chat and then a command to display them all later if that's the only concern.
  13. I don't see how this is urgent or game breaking. I'd much rather move the slider to <5 IDs away and then click the buttons than spend 20 minutes giving myself carpal tunnel clicking through 300+ options one by one. No thank you, keep it.
  14. How do you expect people to kill people without it? It's a necessary part of roleplay to counter the fact that people aren't always present like they are in real life.
  15. Yes. We can barely keep up to standard cars as it is now; removing any upgrades would simply leave us useless during chases.

I personally choose to ignore California's existence unless it's extremely needed; e.g someone famous gets killed in California, the California fires- you simply can't mesh these things into San Andreas without it getting tricky. Everything else I roleplay as happening in San Andreas. As for the island part, it's hard to ignore it and say you're still connected to landmass on every side as it's not like SAMP where the devs put up huge mountains due north, here I just roleplay it being an island just off the coast. I personally don't like or use the other replacement cities such as Las Venturas, Vice City and Liberty City as I find it unneeded and just complicates things more. However if somebody else mentions them I'm not going to be all weird and have a debate with them IC. This topic as a whole has hundreds of varying opinions which likely nobody will ever agree on, you should just roleplay what you want to roleplay in your own little circle and improvise if somebody roleplays otherwise.
  17. The shield of hiding behind it being IC is very overused when it comes to unjustified shootings by LEO's. It's something I personally have dealt with from all angles— as a cop, as an admin and as a criminal and I can tell you when you're on the other side it feels like DM. If you're killed there is no option to pursue it IC; it's not like real life where there's the potential for hundreds of people to be in the area of a shooting who are able to record the incident or bare witness such as the recent killing of George Floyd— our playerbase doesn't allow for that level of realism. If the line is thin such as someone pulling out their cellphone while being told to put their hands up and they get shot then I'd say it should be dealt with IC but fragrant cases where shootings are obviously not justified should be dealt with the same as if it had happened with another non-leo player. I've never liked the idea of LEO's being able to get away with 'DM' just because they have IA who can potentially investigate the shooting instead— rulebreaks are rulebreaks.
  18. This. It's a pretty well known bug that happens sometimes. If you keep spawning in the same location and crashing then log off for 10~ minutes before trying again to reset the timer.
