  4. First off, this is an optional idea that popped into my mind because it's something that had occurred IRL for me in the past and I can see being useful on the server for others as a reminder from both the landlord/tenant points of view.. as well as adding more things for the GOV faction to do. dunno if it's just me but forums isn't letting me change that bold/underline sh** you see bellow ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A little backstory on that idea. I've lived in a rented 2 story flat-house-type dealio for 5+ years and just about 2 years ago we started receiving text messages from a company that dealt with the estate in general rather than our landlord, which was weird for me at first but assumingly it's an optional thing depending on who owns the property/land I guess, (correct me if I'm wrong there). The text messages were regarding delayed payments..(which is SORT OF.. but not entirely)... the point for my case specifically given that our dates were specified by the day we moved in at first before it changed to what those texts started rambling/complaining about).. or mail (by post offices) where for example tenants were late on their payments (like mortgage payment notices or otherwise we've all seen or heard of in the world).. which would've come by text (in my case at least).. or by post mail, say for example an area such as Forum Drive.. it's got gated entries to multiple flats. My estate IRL as an example.. has both a gate for cars as well as pedestrians, pedestrians have their own sort of side entrance with a keycode type thing, which is where the mail by post comes in, in certain scenarios for example if the code changes for the gate changes (say Forum Drive was state owned, not company with a land tax on it). Forum Drive could be state owned, leased/rented/mortgaged out to lesser income persons that currently occupy the server population, given the areas capability of sustaining homes for such scenarios of characters who can just like those that RP a higher income.. request ownership of the property/ies they wish to RP in just like the example.. Forum Drive. (forum drive is just the nearest example of the estate I live in irl, hence why the resemblance) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Detailed Description: Just a quick thought for now, but given the increase in landlords.. despite the ridiculous pricing.. (personal opinion there).. of rented properties.... it would be nice to have a warning system in place that would work as a mailing or text message system like the notification system for bank transfers/radio station updates from ucp ect.. (not for admins/PM but for landlords specifically) essentially for the property owners/landlords and tenants of those properties who are active on the server either daily or otherwise active enough to keep in touch with their owned/rented properties (goes both ways for tenants/landlords). We already have a timer type system in place for those who own properties, but having a similar, likely player owned, timer system in place for landlords.. that would notify the landlords/and/or the tenants of say delayed payments, would be nice to have. Relevant Commands/Items: N/A given it's done through UCP unless you wanted to try adding something like /ptwarn [ID/Player_Name] [Reason] (which translates to /playertenantwarn [ID/Player_Name] [Reason]) that would work for both people who are in-game or not logged in.. that later log in after receiving such a warning.. much like the bank transfers at the moment.. but from their landlord, rather than a bank or w/e else (not shown like a kick or anything obviously). Otherwise having an option under "Characters/[Character_Name]/Assets > Properties > Tenants... on the UCP would be sweet too. How will it benefit the server?: Well, RP quality could come into play here as the first point. People make characters that only last a day or 2, which I have seen and is quite sad. So this could help a little in terms of filtering those characters/players out from those who actually want to RP a specific character long-term, such as those gang characters who start off young and are aged up as they progress through their faction ranks ect. Likewise for PD/FD/SD/PR/GOV and so on.. But in general it's just an optional immersion type idea that came to mind. I'm open to all betterment of this same idea, I'm not a landlord nor do I know anyone who is, so I wouldn't have the first clue of how it works aside from the tenants perspective.. but we hardly see anything script based when it comes to properties lately, so a slight refurb on it could be nice? idk.. throwing ideas out here
