  1. Honestly just wait until tomorrow or next week. That’s what I’m doing. The reason it’s taking so long is because the servers are just overloaded with everyone trying to download the update at the same time. So yeah, give it some time. Wait until the servers aren’t as crowded. It’s not gonna kill you to take a break from GTAW for just one or two days.
  2. Ah yes, let's inconvenience new players so you taxi drivers can use them for RP. -1 I know you're upset that the taxi job is pretty dead on the server, and I get it, but still. Removing rental cars and making it a huge inconvenience for new players to get around and forcing them to rely on you instead, is just not a good idea.
  3. Yupp, unfortunately its just a weird part of RP that you kinda just have to ignore. As someone who also doesn't really timeskip (I age my character once a year on their birthday), it does get weird. One of my character's friends, she met them when they were younger than her. But now, that character is easily twice her age and it makes no sense. Again, you just have to ignore that. We never bring up our character's ages IC'ly for that reason.
  4. Having connections is very important. I mean seriously, so many of my characters, the only reason they're IC'ly successful is because they have connections to people. To give them jobs, opportunities, help/support, etc. Goes for real life as well. You can't do everything alone, unless you're really lucky. It helps to know people you can trust.
  5. Honestly, more people should /report first before immediately jumping into a forum report. And even before /report, you can PM the person to try to resolve it without having to get an admin involved. Especially for super minor things. A lot of issues can be solved with basic ingame communication. Immediately jumping straight to a forum report when the situation could’ve been easily resolved ingame just wastes everyone’s time and floods the forum report page with petty reports.
  6. To be fair, you could always just ask someone who has platinum to change it for you. Go to the discord, ask if anyone with plat is available to help you out. I personally think property weather/time toggle is a good perk to be donator-locked. Its not massively detrimental to your RP. Its purely a cosmetic thing, to have your property be permanently daytime or whatever. And again, you can easily just find someone to do it for you if you need to.
  7. At the end of the day, its a necessary evil. I personally don't know the costs involved in keeping the server running, but the server has to make money to keep itself running. And even more, the server needs to make money to hire developers to make all these awesome updates we've had recently. If you start removing donator features and making them free to use, people are going to stop buying donator. The server will be updated less, problems will take longer to fix, etc. And no, people aren't just going to donate without getting anything in return, so your idea of "letting people donate with no strings attached" isn't really a solution. I do agree with /bad though. That's pretty much the most significant donator ability that directly affects how much you can roleplay on the server. Being a business owner on GTAW is one of the most annoying things to pull off. The amount of OOC applications you have to go through, all the fire inspections, having to get the licenses, having to hire a team of employees, having to map the interior, and on top of that, having to pay to have a map blip that people know you're open. And even then, there's no guarantee that your business will be successful especially if its anything other than a bar/club. Its no wonder why so many people are hesitant on being business owners on the server.
  8. And then the permanent ban gets appealed in 1 month, before the entire cycle repeats itself of course people aren't going to follow the rules when the punishment is this lenient
  9. +1 Absolutely agree. The new UI popup for stuff looks great, I love it. But I don't understand why the devs made it so you have to manually press a button to close them. They should close automatically after a few seconds.
  10. Except this isn't really a good idea. At least not by itself. GTA V car physics are weird. There's a thing called Curb Boosting in this game. In GTA V, If you drive over any road obstacle like a speed bump or a curb, it actually increases a vehicle's speed because the bump causes the car's suspension to compress for a quick moment. If you add these speed bumps, people would just use them as speed boosts, so it would make the driving problem worse. I could imagine people in pursuits or races intentionally driving over these speed bumps to make their car go faster. Unless you find a way to script-wisely make the speed bumps actually slow down a car or damage a car at high speeds, this isn't a good idea to just map these speed bumps in. People will just treat them like speed boosts.
  11. My 40 year old county trucker character listens to bongo cat music on his way to work
  12. Probably won't happen purely because of the performance problem. But honestly though? As long as people are following the speed limit and driving realistically, you shouldn't be getting into accidents due to vehicle pop-in. As long as you're driving at a normal speed, you have plenty of time to react to incoming traffic. The only times I've personally ever gotten into an accident because of players' vehicles loading in, are almost always because someone was speeding 130mph and couldn't react in time. So, blame people for driving like its GTA Online for causing accidents.
  13. Yeah honestly just revert it to how it was before. I dunno why the devs feel the need to keep making the UI more complicated and intrusive than it needs to be.
  14. For me, I just do it 1:1 with real life. So... 1 year IRL = 1 year for my character. I age up on my character's birthday. Now, there's no right or wrong way to do it, everyone's different. What works for me, might not work for you. The reason why I'm able to age my character in realistic time like this, is primarily because my character's RP moves very slowly. My main character at least, I take the RP very slowly, living their life day-by-day and I almost never have to timeskip long periods of time to justify aging up faster. But again, its different for everyone. What works for me, might not work for you. Do what makes sense for your character, not what makes sense for mine or anyone else's.
  15. Hi! Sorry, but the price is non-negotiable. I personally believe $130k is a very fair price already.

  17. The annoying thing for me is how spontaneous and sudden the weather changes are. Like one moment, it can be sunny/cloudy, perfectly nice day outside. Then immediately, it can go from sunny to absolutely storming with no warning. Likewise, it can go from absolutely storming to perfectly sunny instantly, there's no transition. It would also help if the weather app actually worked. The one on your character's phone I mean. The current weather never matches up with what the phone says, and the forecast never matches up either. It's pretty much impossible to predict what the weather will be. Oftentimes, rain/thunderstorm weathers just catch me off guard and its annoying. Realistically, my character would know that it would rain at a certain time because... it's 2024, and accurate weather forecasts are a thing. Anyways, on topic, I do agree with turning the rain chances down a bit. Don't get me wrong, I do love the rain and I love taking screenshots when it happens, but yeah... Multiple times a day is just a bit too much. +1
  18. Not die, that's for sure. I wanna live long enough to play gta 6 :3 Here's your daily reminder for everyone to drink more water
  19. What a distinguished doggo +1
  20. My other character, Ashley. Tattoos aren't very accurate nor consistent tho :3
  21. Omg same xD I saw this cat once at a like an event, and it was like, super oddly friendly. Like it would follow my character around, sit next to me, react to my /me's and I was like "Why is this cat seem so sentient?" I quickly realized it was admin controlled.
