Modern day LCN focuses a fair share of their activities on Internet crime. There were a few articles that detailed how Cosa Nostra members and associates were involved in multiple crypto pump&dump schemes back in 2017/2018, but I can't find them right now. Of course, it's nearly impossible to roleplay things like that in GTA:W (or any RP server for that matter), which forces most LCN rp'ers to default to more classic rackets.

Well, then you have one of two ways to go about it: 1) Are these any of these members made under any of the previous CF's? Because if so, then they have a legitimate claim, and they should be considered. Believe me, the LCN scene has been run dry of experienced people, and if those people claiming membership are actual members inducted in this server, they're better than nothing. If you want a reallistic depiction as you claim, you will talk to these people and hear them out, and at the very least give them a chance to present their ideas. Denying them any fair chance of at least presenting their case would only further drive the LCN community away, and I don't think that's what anybody wants. 2) They're not inducted members, or they're trying to spawn in as made. That is the big no-no, and I would agree with not allowing their concepts through. LCN needs people who know what they're doing INGAME, not just black hand browsers who think they know it all.

If you took a second to look at the 2 (3, if you count LSCF) CF's that existed, you'll notice that the numbers were much more grounded. I don't know about Conti, but in Martorano at least, there was never more than 5/6 inducted members, even during what's called "The Golden Era". Also, most Crime Families outside the big hotspots of NY and Chicago weren't as big as you make them out to be, with evidence showing that some didn't even have close to thirty inducted members. This argument implies that up until now, LCN's power came from their status as Crime Family, while it's the complete opposite. Any LCN that wanted to attain CF status had to forge those connections in-game, we had to put the work in and build towards that "label". Conti had endless connections, be it by selling drugs and guns, be it other schemes and contraptions. Hell, Martorano pulled two factions who did not fall under our umbrella during the Great CK War, and managed to pull a coup on one of the opposing factions, all through IC means. If you had taken a look at both threads you would see this, but it doesn't matter. Overall your comment comes off as dishonest and ignorant, which is fine, it's just more evidence of the utter contempt that the LCN concept has endured in this server.

While I entirely disagree with the OP's view of LCN roleplay, I also disagree with the notion that "LCN in LS is unrealistic". Nobody seems to bat an eye when we see Asian factions with females in leadership or thirty new MC's pop out the woodwork every month with spawned in patched members, or another Japanese ricer driving 800mph down Legion Avenue. But mention LCN in the West Coast? All hell breaks loose. The sad reality is this: even if IFM were to suddenly allow LCN concepts back in, who would want to roleplay them? The cringe, pinstripe suit wearing, "I've seen the Sopranos once, this is how Italian-Americans live like" crowd, or ACTUALLY experienced people in the concept that can guide and help new people towards the right direction? Because the latter have all been driven out of this server, either due to IFM bullshit (which we won't talk about), burnout (LCN is an heavy concept that can take its toll on you), or all in all, the hostile welcome this server provides to any concept that isn't a modelling agency. Couple that with the dissatisfaction most veterans get when they see people like the OP say they're "LCN experts" and you got a concept that will only be touched by the Vitto Scalettas of our lifetime. So yeah, LCN is dead in GTA:W. The crowd that always banged the drums against it can pat itself on the back, and return to roleplaying their shitty little lesbian ricer, or their fourteen year old criminal mastermind Shantavious DaJonesquan, or whatever the fuck. Just remember, fellas, what IFM did to LCN they could very well do it to your concept one of these days. And then I'll be here to read your threads on how unfair it is. -
