Republican Party of Los Santos County THE LSGOP CALLS FOR CENSURE OF CONSPIRACY THEORIST CANDIDATE February 16, 2021 — The Republican Party of Los Santos County is deeply concerned by the remarks of Senator Morales’ staffer and Democrat Senate candidate Chloe Knight, who baselessly espoused conspiracies that President Pro Tempore Frank Ernst is “corrupt” on FaceBrowser, and used profanity laced messages targeting her political opponents on social media. The behavior is unbecoming of any serious person who is interested in pursuing elected office. President Joe Biden has called on the country to heal, and for Republicans and Democrats to work together. San Andreas Democrats should take note of their president's example, unless if these words are meaningless. This inflammatory rhetoric is not helpful, it is immature and poisons our politics. "We hold strong views and have strong disagreements and that’s OK. Strong disagreements are inevitable and healthy. They are a sign of a vigorous debate and deeply held views, but we have to remember the purpose of our politics isn’t total unrelenting, unending warfare. No, the purpose of our politics, the work of the nation isn’t to fan the flames of conflict, but to solve problems, to guarantee justice and to give everybody a fair shot and improve the lives of our people. We may be opponents but we are not enemies. We are Americans," — President Joe Biden The Republican Party of Los Santos County calls on Democrat leadership to censure Ms. Knight in order to repair the reputation of our political system and disallow unhinged candidates from participating on a mainstream electoral ticket. San Andreas Republicans have disavowed former Mayor Halford for his transgressions, and introduced groundbreaking legislation to combat corruption and ensure electoral transparency. It’s time that Democrats step up too, and restore decency in our elections. After all, we are Americans, not enemies. ###

Republican Party of Los Santos County Senate Republican's Open Carry initiative signed into law FEB/02/2021 On February 10th, 2021 - The San Andreas State Senate passed the new SHAFT act into law. Three Senate Republican votes passed the Act. While two Senate Democrats abstained and one Senate Democrat failed to vote. The Governor then signed the law into effect shortly after President Pro Tempore Frank Ernst submitted it to him for review. This bill reformed the former SHAFT act to include municipal regulations for gun control and legalized open carry for unincorporated areas within any county in San Andreas. Through hard work by him and our Senate Republicans, we've finally accomplished this promise. To be clear to all open carry advocates and practitioners. The bill requires the Governor to propose areas for being unincorporated and incorporated within any county in San Andreas. Open carry will be legal in all unincorporated areas within Los Santos County while remaining illegal in incorporated areas. An incorporated area refers to a place within city limits. Therefore at this time, open carry remains illegal in Los Santos County. We are working hard to establish a proposal with Governor Brandt to push to the Senate Floor within the coming week. Republican Party of Los Santos County Republican Party's response to Governor Brandt's veto of Marijuana Legalization 2/08/2021 At approximately 5:00 PM on January 10th, 2021 - The democratic Governor issued a VETO on the Cannabis Legalization Act of 2021. This act was passed initially by the San Andreas State Senate, receiving unanimous support from Senate Republicans on January 7th, 2021, and scheduled to go into effect in the following weeks. This news confused many lawmakers and devastated many small businesses and medical patients. Many hospital patients were looking forward to medical usage of cannabis as treatment, and now many of them are left with not only frustration but a lack of faith in our state legislature. Many small businesses and entrepreneurs viewed the legalization of cannabis as a lucrative new industry in San Andreas. Many of them are now left to struggle with their financial burdens in their projects due to the Democrat Party's inability to maintain and follow a coherent public agenda. Republican Senate President Pro Tempore Frank Ernst immediately issued a call for an emergency meeting for Senate Republicans and Republican lawmakers shortly upon hearing the news. During this meeting, it became clear the well-being of medical cannabis patients and small businesses investing in the Cannabis industry are the top priority. Lawmakers are now attempting to get in contact with Governor Brandt to renegotiate. We understand this is a hard time for many of you, and we would like to offer any support we can.
