Imagine the political debates, or live in courts and etc..how sexy it'd be and how much it'd promote the social-aspect of the community. Plus they could announce wanted suspects and etc.. all that stuff, and news doesn't have to be on side-lines, but actually impact peoples lively hood and things to be taken seriously and not just skipped ahead. If you ask me, having this kind of feature would improve the community over-all, because in reality.. news is highly urgent to people, despite people disliking whats on it, it still delivers that interest. And here, it'd just make people stay on their toes and be careful with their criminal act, and it goes same way for law enforcement agencies.

Imagine, we could have live-streams of the "soccer" games , or some competition by Hang Ten or whatever..how much cool stuff could come out of it. For all I care, those who wanna have a "channel" should be donators to access to this perk, similar to how donators can add music on UCP, expect this would be the same for TV channels 🙂

This thing would be a great addition for Weazle News - at least for once, news department could be taken bit more seriously and it'd actually be fun, because lets be honest. Reading the news chat is just boring. People wanna see it in-action, so to speak. We could have a system where, when the dude is recording a..crime scene or whatever, or when its candidates - the news staff would give them "microphones" /givemic or something and those who have that mic-access, people would be able to read their "news" texts like before, but seeing some activity on TV so to speak, would be dope. Imagine a cop chase, and you got news helicopter with co-pilot following the scene. They make the announcement about breaking news, it'd pop an icon in phone / ad or something , afterwards the co-pilot would just comment on situation and people could watch him zoom the camera in and read the green-text like before.... that simple, soooo to speak. In my opinion, this is the only thing that GTA W is missing and nobody really have ever done this before, but its possible..we got the tech, guys!! Let's make a dead and boring thing..into something useful and progressive, when was the last time anyone showed news some attention? So this is a 2 for one suggestion 🙂

Short description: TV system Detailed description: Basically, you know that cinema thing that we got? Allowing people to /add/ streaming links and broadcast to people in-game? That's what we should get for the TV's in the houses. Good thing is, GTA V has few flat-screen TV's, they are pretty large in size and would be perfect fit for a in-door roleplay , watching TV and such, or doing bookies -- betting shop and what-not. We can limit to certain "flat-screens" only, so developers would have to focus the "video" motion on that "flat-screen" object ID and then people could spawn it with furniture system and get a notification saying "Did you know, you can do /tv and add streaming links " Commands to add: /tv [link] [pause] [remove] [on] [off] [volume] [channel 1-100] - /tv link www.youtube.com/video/random_streaming123213f Items to add: For flat screen (s) only. How would your suggestion improve the server? It'd improve the indoor factor , would bring people enjoyment to do bookies, betting shops or just watch some stuff in the house, people spend a lot of time rping indoors. Additional information: You get the idea... hehe. But yeah, why not? Using same cinema set-up expect just downscale it. News usage? Who knows, maybe news department could get a helicopter with a zooming camera (similar to what LSPD has) and follow through some police car chases or whatever, and announce via phone app / ad - that's its being broadcasted on TV and people could just watch the live-youtube chase. And plus it can also give news to be unique. Imagine news announcing its broadcast and you see a reporter standing in front of a crime scene and the dude that'd be "recording" it - he could have an access to a "Breaking news" UI, so the live-video would look like an actual news. Simple as that!! Example:

Yeah, I understand..can be complex to implement and devote time and efforts, specially when some people wont even value the attempt ;( but I hope you'll find a way, maybe some sort of forum appeal - it'd at least show you the amount of people who are actually interested into it, instead of trying to offer it with passion to teenagers who been caught up in bad life. Eitherway, rooting for you guys to figure something out.

You guys plan on adding Police Explorer Program at some point? For youth characters , basic law enforcement stuff and etc.. getting kids off corners and all that, giving people the eye-opener that they could develop into something far better. It ain't difficult to set up and would be a great addition, and neat development for those gang-involved kids and officers them-self, history and all that.

Do they have that for LSPD/LSSD as well? 😮 This is freaking epic and handy as hell, stuff like that is public information and expands whole social-aspect.

I don't wanna sound like an asshole or anything, bro..but this thread is circumstances sounds more like a "YOU" problem, not a community problem. RP scenes go by its business as it fills like - we don't control it, we don't obey it - we simply go with the flow and see where it takes , despite if someone turns things into John Wayne or into something else, end of the day - its still role-play and different circumstances can happen at any time. If someone broke an rule and you lost some stuff due to it, you can file a report and you'll be refunded - otherwise... "Suck to be you in these unlucky circumstances".

Why not just report these people for abusing? Ain't this just one of those situation where they exploit the script and power-game the hell out of the scene? I don't think any administrator would stand by this situation being "Okay" , because if the player is caught cheating like that, he'd probably just end up banned as he is power-gaming and got a play-2-win mentality.

I enjoy fun through realistic role-play, that's usually the whole idea about heavy role-play communities, specially text one. You spend time doing some background research on your characters-ethnic group and attempt to portray a realistic character , specially when your going for some sort of faction-link-up, you have to do additional research in order to understand how that group operates, what are the cultural believes, music taste and etc.. But I mean hey, you always got these Need For Speed guys here who just wanna evade police 24-7 and that´s the "fun" perspective, in my opinion they shouldn't be here as they aren't here to role-play. Evading cops on daily bases ain't exactly an RP, its just cop baiting and sub-par act and no crappy excuse "Well, my character" oh shut it, Scotty. Your full of crap with that 😕. But sadly, with so many players.. there will be dozens of groups that will try to have it in a sloppy-RP way, because they simply lack proper role-play role modeling and they are too lazy to give a damn in improving. They are fine by looking sexy in-game and drive some fancy cars and consider that a "fun experience". Waste of time if you ask me, they could do the same on a TDM server. (Just saying guys...) o.o

Thing is.. you'll always have these type of characters around, even in the real world - you got the attitude-wanna-be-tough-guys. During my time as a bouncer, I've seen and met dozens of these dudes, they act like somebody important in their mind and expect to be treated with respect or they gonna call up their buddies if you don't do it their way. Of course, nobody have pulled a gun on me (yet, hehe) , but it did come to the point where we had to call the cops when moron had few people coming over when he was thrown out for being too rude to the staff. And trust me, the dude was escalating it to the point where he began to threat with a dagger. And that's just some idiot , now imagine when its a drug user or some gang-member whose brains been washed and all he knows is how to be feared due to his background and he'll expect things go his-way. Like many before me have said, simply avoid the confrontation - talk your way out of it and cooperate. That's the only play you'd have in the real world anyways, there can be real pervasive people out there, and they'll basically look at it..as you'd be "Stupid" or not understand your perspective, because in their little minds - they aren't doing nothing wrong. #Criminal Mind Sure, these kind of interactions may ruin your experience, but your ruining it for yourself. The role-play was never written "It'll go your way and any way you expect it to go" - sure, if your a script-roleplayed, that sets things up like Hollywood director and everything falls into a perfect order and be a complete sell-out roleplayer, otherwise.. its all about "Going with the flow", you got mugged or situation escalated to a point where a guy put a 9mm in your stomach? Trust me, people get shot and killed for way less here in USA, waaaaaaaay less. So in a way, it didn't ruin no "interesting RP", your just looking at it from a wrong perspective, it just didn't go "your-way" because you was out-powered so to speak and someone came on top in this scenario, but don't mix the interesting RP being ruined by a mugger or somone seeking for trouble, that´s just how society is today - you don't hear much about it , because people are afraid to talk about it as the dude might come after them again, specially when you was jacked / threaten in your own neighborhood, you wouldn't wanna provoke the lunatic and he'd come back looking, that's how people get killed.
