Fire Safety with SAMSF Race Track - Ryan Aguero April 14, 2023 Public Information Officer Riley Miller On Saturday 25th of March I had the opportunity to speak to mister Ryan Aguero from San Andreas Motor Sport Federation, an organisation that hosted a multitude of rally style events back in the 2022. Though, nowadays it has shifted it's focus to an indoor race track under the same name - SAMSF Race Track on the industrial estate of Murrieta Heights, East Los Santos. When asked the question if Ryan would have undergone the inspection of his fire safety equipment with San Fire, he chuckled and nodded immediately without giving it much thought. He explained how safety equipment, both in terms of motor vehicle accidents and fires around a race track is of utmost importance to his business, reflecting on customer safety. After having been shown this equipment I asked Ryan what his first experience was in terms of using this equipment. Ryan's first experience with the fire safety equipment was at a 2022 Rally Event, a car accident could have turned catastrophic if it weren't for the quick thinking and action of Ryan Aguero, the host of the event. When a car rolled over and the engine began to smoke, Ryan responded with lightning speed, driving his truck to the scene of the crash and grabbing a fire extinguisher from his vehicle. Ryan's decisive actions prevented the smoking engine from catching fire and potentially causing a much larger disaster both in terms of damages to the vehicle, or potential environmental hazard. His swift response demonstrated the importance of having fire safety equipment readily available in case of emergencies. At this year's rally events that are hosted by a different organizer as SAMSF no longer hosts these events. The office of the State Fire Marshal's, want to emphasize the importance of fire safety equipment and encourage all attendees to have the necessary tools on hand and to familiarize themselves with how to use it in case of an emergency. A fire extinguisher, in particular, is a crucial piece of equipment that can help prevent small fires from turning into major disasters. We want to thank Ryan Aguero for his quick thinking and heroic actions at the 2022 rally event. We hope his quick thinking and actions serve as an inspiration to all of us to be prepared for any emergency situation and to prioritize the safety of ourselves and those around us. Let's work together to ensure that everyone stays safe and that incidents like this one can be avoided in the future.

As an agency committed to keeping communities safe from the threat of fires, the State Fire Marshal's Office recognizes the importance of educating businesses on the importance of fire prevention equipment and ensuring that they are prepared for potential emergencies. Fire prevention equipment, such as fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and sprinkler systems, are crucial in protecting lives and property in the event of a fire. Businesses have a responsibility to ensure that their facilities are equipped with the proper fire prevention equipment and that it is maintained in working order. In addition to having the necessary equipment, businesses must also comply with fire codes and regulations. Fire marshal inspections are conducted to ensure that businesses are in compliance with these regulations and to identify any potential hazards. At the State Fire Marshal's Office, which is based in Rockford, we understand that businesses have a lot on their plates, and fire prevention may not always be top of mind. However, the consequences of a fire can be devastating, both in terms of the loss of property and, most importantly, the loss of life. That's why we encourage all businesses to take fire prevention seriously and to work with their local fire department and fire marshal's office to ensure that they are adequately prepared for potential emergencies. By investing in fire prevention equipment and complying with fire codes and regulations, businesses can protect their employees, customers, and property from the threat of fires.
