i support SAHP as a separate entity but to give u an idea of some of the opportunities opened up with SAHP unavailable currently to SAPR: -government protection duties/governors detail (dignitary protection services) -capitol protection -motorcycle patrol -commercial enforcement (truckers, deliveries, etc) -hazardous devices (around gov buildings) -enhanced focus on traffic enforcement and collision investigation, something sorely needed with the way people drive -investigators (primarily for county crimes) which is the biggest one imo, presently it’s a hassle to hail PD DB or MCB/Homicide for SD especially late at night when you discover bodies or have crimes occur -not getting mixed up with deputies and SD (more of a mild IC issue) -far more well known and historic agency, as popular as the LAPD id argue (CHIPS anyone?)

its moreso the cool factor of game wardens, ultimately i agree with ur point about fostering the SAHP and would like to see it. some people just arent aware of Cali DFWs existence and have a very traditional idea of what a ranger is in their head (park guide) as opposed to the reality of what rangers n wardens do.

yeah sapr itself doesnt exist as an entity. the faction is composed of equal parts cali state parks and cali fish n wildlife as you know. i do agree that game wardens are beyond based but i also know people would have a heart attack if they saw sapr (the faction) has merit to continue existing, there shouldnt be a reason that they cease to. theres a good amount of history, its got good leadership, it fills a purpose thats neglected at times and its done nothing but improve since inception. to remove it would be an awful blow to the server and the people in it, as would changing it. i do support SAHP existing on its own merits however. if GTAW: Russia and France can find room for it with much smaller playerbases im pretty sure we can to. id rather change the name of SAPR to SASP b/c what the fuck is san andreas park rangers. its san andreas state parks, thats the name of the organization n for some reason it was denied this change despite the vehicles legitimately saying that and that being what the RL equivalent of the organization is. idk if thats still the same thought process. sahp can exist independently though. what @eTaylor said is perfect, highway patrol does more than just traffic. they also do state level protection for the governor, have investigators and a gang unit among other things. let it happen. i wanna see it:
