  1. This would be huge. There are so many odd delivery points and it puts truckers off from ever delivering.
  2. Frankly there is no other option. You have to give the option for both. Time zones and availability simply don’t make your suggestion to require two people to be available feasible. I’ve been trucking for a long time. I agree there needs to be the option to expand opportunity for interaction when there are people available to do so, but you can’t force it at all times. Trucking won’t survive. Maybe adopt a similar system to when someone is on shift at a 24/7. If you’ve got workers who are on shift at the warehouse pick up or at the business drop off, then that’s when you have to scriptly do it that way. If no one is on shift though, it needs to work without them.
  3. I like the idea. Only thing is interaction will always be a problem. That’s just the nature of how many different time zones we have playing and where a good majority play from. Requiring two people for the actions you suggested would be difficult. You say that trucking companies can just hire more people but it’s not always that simple. There are going to be times where requiring two people will be more of a burden than anything. Time zones and availability are simply too hard to make this a requirement. It would hurt more than it would help. Look no further than the LSPD. They’ve probably hired what, hundreds of officers? There are still gaps during times where there is little to no police presence. This issue would read it’s ugly head in trucking very quickly. The port group has tried to increase RP for dock workers at certain points where truckers would go through dock workers to get their supplies loaded. It’s cool RP, when people are available. But if that were required to have dock workers present to actually get goods? Trucking would fail spectacularly. If you give the script ability for people to do these things in the interests of promoting RP when people are available? Cool. Accepting warehouse deliveries, accepting deliveries at businesses? Cool. It should not be a requirement though. When no one is working those jobs, trucking should still be able to function without them. It sounds great on paper, don’t get me wrong. It would be a point of failure in application.
  4. I thought about this too. It depends on where the bonus money comes from. Right now, it's the businesses who pay the money per crate to the trucking companies. Anything much above $300 and you're barely breaking even in most cases. If there was distance based money that was maybe awarded via government or something that's just a suspension of belief, that would be more ideal.
  5. Increasing the components per crate would definitely help the restock issue for current businesses that already get a frequent visit from truckers, but I don't think it will help with the businesses that suffer from the issue of distance from a supply point. The fact that any sort of grocery of firearm based business within city limits has to rely on truckers driving out to Sandy and back, that's ridiculous and obvious why they aren't prioritized.
  6. Also from very recent trucking experience (Over 500 deliveries later), I feel there is some OOC hate towards trucking companies given the reputation of the trucking industry in GTAW as a whole. People tend to poke at companies IC'ly and cause issues on a near constant basis no matter what we try to do to counter it. I feel this is more of an OOC, "Bored, let's go cause trouble down at a trucking lot just because we can" type reasoning with many of these situations. There's no script support for gates or barriers that can only be opened by employees, so there's no real traffic control at the gates which would exist in real life at these major logistics companies. Whether its ex-employees, people just riding around bored, whatever. As a whole, my impression is that trucking companies just aren't taken seriously by a majority of the player base. It's simply a thing that exists because of how the business and component system works, but nothing more. So people driving into the lots causing issues, racing around, doing stuff with almost no IC reason to be there, bad portrayal of their character, shooting at employees just because they got fired.... it gets very tiring day in and day out. Truckers become demotivated and move on. It's been quite hard to find new trucking drivers lately, so it's definitely a shortage problem as well.
  7. It's an issue with multiple causes. Bear with me. 1) Trucking can get really repetitive, it's a zero appreciation job and there's a general lack of enforcement for RP standards. Money aside, it's still a back-and-forth with zero interaction unless someone is on the radio with you. You hardly ever get interaction at a delivery drop off point, unless the rare occasion the business is open. However if it's open, they are usually busy and don't provide you with much interaction. Many people instantly assume you're a shit driver and only want to grind because frankly, it's a grind job. While it's not always the case, many bad drivers and people only interested in doing it as fast as possible, gives truckers as a whole a really bad reputation. I very rarely see truckers getting reported (100% an issue) and on the other end I never hear about these drivers getting punished for disregarding intersections, driving over curbs and down right non-RP driving because it's usually chocked up to, "it's an IC issue". But unfortunately, it never gets handled IC. Not enough enforcement to cover all the trucking players. 2) The distance of supply points in relation to the drop off points and the availability of supply points. Most truckers will take the path of least resistance or in this case, shortest route for the most money. Sorry to bring up the money fact, but that's just how it is. Personal experience owning a business and with over 500 deliveries as a trucker, in many cases drivers will ignore a business paying the minimum $250 per crate for a $300 / $350 crate business unless that $250 per crate business is close to the supply points. Issue is half the businesses that only pay $250/crate are totally across the city opposite from those supply points or out in Sandy / Paleto and thus truckers will just completely ignore them. Moving on to supply points availability. For example, the only grocery supply point is way outside the city up North. The only firearms supplier is in Sandy Shores. So any businesses inside the city that need these components, have to bank on truckers willing to drive out there and back. There needs to be a much higher availability / placement of supply points so they are more central to each part of the map. 3) Related to problem number 2. Mechanic garage component usage was doubled a while back, so each modification uses twice as many components as before. This results in auto-garages constantly needing components. Elysian Autoworks is like a mile from the port where you pick up crates. Fukaru Automotive and Imperial Autoworks are like 1.5 miles away. Auto Exotic is 2 miles or so. All very easy, very straight shots from the port. MAD Customs is an easy high way drive and drop off. All these shops are low effort, quick drive times and generally higher paying (I know Fukaru and MAD Customs pay $300 per crate a lot). This ends up with truckers having a near constant, short delivery route to take. Truckers will always prioritize garages because of this and thus other businesses suffer from that prioritization. Component cost is something that should be revisited. Component use for mechanic garages should be revisited, as it's one of the direct causes to this issue. Many truckers won't even look at a business paying only $250 a crate, which is another issue in itself. I've heard from multiple business owners that at $300 / crate, profit is reduced to barely anything. While that may not be an issue for some, its an issue for others. So, there you go. Sorry for the long winded response! tl;dr version - Lots of contributing issues. Trucking and the component system needs a revamp LOL 🤣

That is your opinion. Many disagree with you. Oh well, to each their own.

Caps can suggest that you're shouting, which can be misinterpreted since there's no way to tell otherwise. There's a difference between shouting and emphasis, if you want to get grammatically technical. So yes, there would be a great use for bold letters to suggest a difference between what you're trying to say, since tone cannot always be accurately conveyed over typing.

Enlighten us then. How do you grammatically emphasize something? It's just being able to bold a word. It would be a great addition.
  11. I've had a couple game freezes here and there, but I haven't noticed any performance difference in the last two years even with all these additions. Granted I don't use any visual mods and I adjust my graphics settings. Turn your graphics down a bit. Adjust the anti-aliasing amount, shadows, grass and water quality. Those are huge performance takers. Understand we're on a nearly 10-year old game and a multiplayer platform that in all likelihood can't handle running smoothly on stunning 4K and/or upgraded visual mods that people like to use client-side, no matter how optimized GTAW makes the server-sided mods.
  12. I guess a concern would be that if most people don't care for the RP, will they just wait it out and wait until all mechanic shops are shut? Will this take away business from garages? If a car doesn't come for 30 minutes, the mechanic will probably leave. Then they'll just go as soon as they are closed to any shop they want and do it themselves, if that's the case. Does the money still go to the garage even though they are closed? Doesn't that make them even more of a money printing machine, which is why component cost was doubled to slow that down? Component use would be another big issue. It's already hard to keep garages stocked, but if they can be used at all times even when closed? Truckers will only ever deliver to garages and other businesses will also suffer because of that, as they already do. Lots of factors in using closed garages besides the inconvenience of not wanting to sit through the RP.
  13. You don't have to leave jail when your time is up script-wise. You can stay in as long as you want or serve out your time (real hours) rather than offline. There's no issue there. Criminals can choose to have a longer sentence. Lengthening sentences does nothing to solve the problem to populate the prison with a majority of people just choosing to log out.
