Add it for RP, I wanna execute people with style.

Well, leading up to the pay-back date was fun, creating contracts, hiring lawyers and loan collectors. OOCly receiving the money back twice wasn't as much fun, to be honest.

I literally made 0 profit from every single loan I gave out, because every single player decided to namechange/go inactive/asset transfer. That's 1 month and a half of waiting for literally nothing.

Here's the thing tho, if the borrower KNOWS the money will be taken from his account regardless, then he'll make sure to pay the loan. And also, getting loans for the sole reason to scam people out of it will cease to exist, since people will know that the money will be lost regardless.

So, how do you guys think problems, such as the borrowers making a lot more profit from the loan, while basically not being punished at all AND making the loaner lose his profits, should be fixed?

Afaik the loan amount gets taken from the borrowers account by admins and added back to the loaner, so there’d be no space to abuse that system. Same thing would apply, but that time loan + interest gets taken from the borrower and given to the loaner.

Instead of removing them, why not make them completely dependable on companies, just like trucking is?

If we get children player models as well, I'll support it. But since that is never going to happen, it's an obvious no from me.

Interest rates are always shown on the loaning contract (atleast in my company), so if someone doesn't wanna pay the interest rate, they shouldn't have taken the loan and signed the contract.

This probably isn't a very well known issue for people who've never done a loaning company or something of the like, but I've started to observe a repeating pattern going on there. When people sign a contract for a loan, they usually take the loan, head off with that character (maybe even namechange or character kill) and never pay back the loan + interest. You go on to report, guy obviously doesn't answer anything in the report, refund request gets accepted. Here's the thing tho, the refund request is ONLY for the amount loaned and not for the interest, basically killing the loaning business since there can't come any profit from it. Players who scam get away with a warning and lose the loaned amount, however they do not lose the interest as well. This basically shows a risk/reward mentality, where people can make a shit ton of profit from the loan, just so they don't have to pay back the interest. This is incredibly toxic and unproductive, so I suggest that players should lose both the initial loan + the interest agreed upon. My own set of evidence:

This would open the door for so much good RP honestly. Small factions would be afraid of big factions and would legit have a reason not to start a war. This would eventually lead to the biggest faction ruling over the underworld, basically something everyone has to pay tribute to. If anyone would want to overthrow said faction, they'd have to team up with a bunch of smaller ones etc etc etc. I agree this would lead to SO much good RP, I love it. Although I do get the concerns with CK appeals, but that's a whole different issue honestly.

I usually do the usual stuff, like race, nationality, looks, gender, etc etc. Then I come up with the age-range, the older the character, the bigger the backstory. I actually rarely start a character to solely RP a certain type of way, as I feel like that'd lock me down too much in one direction. So I create a character, create the backstory and mannerisms, and then I just kinda throw him out there, see what happens and who he'll get in touch with.

Detailed Description For the love of god, we need to get rid of those ugly ass socks we got now, they look awful. We need some realistic socks, that don't look like they're almost slipped off your foot.
