  1. I've noticed this happen when a player exits a property they go invisible. Usually this can be fixed by having the invisible player do /fixinvi. It's a big issue that I hope we find a fix for soon.
  2. I agree with this. I disagree with making it rain more frequently, especially as we move into summer.
  3. Short description: Add a feature to allow players to highlight text that contain a part of their character name (first and/or last). Detailed description: The current highlight feature is good but it is very limited (can only highlight one specific player) and thus only partly fulfills its purpose, which is to help reduce confusion when many players are typing at once. This suggestion would build onto the already developed highlight feature, but instead of highlighting a specific player's text, it would highlight player's text that contain your character's first and/or last name. IRL, you've probably experienced it yourselves when you're out and about in a loud place and you pick up your own name in the middle of all the noise, that's called selective attention. Our brains react differently when hearing our own name in comparison to anyone else's name. Commands to add: A modification of the /highlight feature. Items to add: None. How would your suggestion improve the server? Similar to the two other highlight suggestions, this would help filter relevant communication to your character, in a situation where a lot of players are typing at once. Realistically our character's brain would pick up his/her name being mentioned over all other noises that they are hearing. Additional information: I'm not sure how technically feasible this would be, since the chat would have to continuously "search," "locate" and "highlight" specific words. In the case this can't be added, the two other suggestions can be found here and here which would also be very helpful.
  4. What Western suggested sounds ideal if that's possible, otherwise a 2-3 sec delay is good.
  5. If mirroring the weather isn't viable then I'd say a good compromise would be to lower the frequency of rain and boost the temperature, so it depicts temps closer to California and not a EU country.
  6. Agreed with this suggestion. It is immersion-breaking, especially when the server continuity topic states: San Andreas replaces California. San Andreas is a sunny, progressive state on the West Coast, encompassing Los Santos, San Fierro and some other major cities.
  7. Maybe not a chance of fail percentage on the beanbag rounds then. But I still stand by the fact that it should not knock players down immediately in the chance that they are hit - even if it takes three or whatever rounds to hit the player due to desync and whatnot. I'd rather see the player be slowed down to a jog/walk and then cops can actually catch up to the player and are able to provide and experience other types of RP such as; going hands-on, TASER or using other types of force including issuing verbal commands while holding the player at gunpoint and talking them down to surrender without further incident.
  8. Agreed with this suggestion. So what if the pursuit goes on a bit longer? Should also be extended to beanbag rounds, for reasons that Procaine mentioned below. There are many circumstances where people are shot with numerous less lethal munition and continue to walk/run or otherwise resist custody. If possible script-wise, you could make it so after # of successful beanbag rounds hit = the person can no longer sprint and then after another # of hits = the person can no longer run but only walk and so on.
  9. Thanks for all the replies guys. A few have confirmed that it is working for them. Really strange though. I thought I was the only one affected! What did you end up doing? Did you find a similar mod? That would make sense, but it's weird how it seems to work for others. Yeah I guess that's another option, role-play it as a custom taser lmao ty!
  10. The texture of my taser mod seems to be bugged, no matter what I do. It appears to work fine for others. See images below. The TASER mod I wish to install is this: https://www.lcpdfr.com/downloads/gta5mods/misc/9789-taser-x26/ - It's the "Base" model. But I've tried them all and they give me the same issue. What it's supposed to look like: What it looks like for me: What I have tried so far with negative result: Installed the Taser mod which was included in a known gun modpack ("drag and drop" dlc.rpf file) Installed the Taser mod alone via OpenIV Verified GTA 5 files via Steam Reinstalled GTA 5 Reinstalled Rage MP Deleted GTA 5 profile/settings. The only thing that seems to work is just using the original taser. Would appreciate any help. More images of what it looks like for me:
