  1. I think the core issue here is forcing people to roleplay situations they don't want to. I could see some enforcement being reasonable for complex scenarios with character/faction implications, but it is a non-issue for the odd car accident. Punishments on this server can hardly be described as "deterrence" and would have a vilifying effect if active role-players were punished for not participating with each other over low-quality interactions. How long do you want people to wait just to get an admin's permission to continue with their day? The process is tedious to the point where most people would prefer to face the "consequences" later if it is even followed up on.

    Drug prices?

Scamming over deals doesn't really make sense to me, unless its for large amounts like 100 grams plus so in the area of 20k. From my experience nobody has attempted to rob or scam since we're all in the same boat trying to rp actual dealers lmao.

    Drug prices?

On my dealer character I've made about ~80k in the last month of somewhat regular play. I've rp'd selling to a handful of random people, but most of my big transactions were with official gangs and those who have access to apply for drugs. 80k seems like a lot but the volume of drugs moved and the risk taken was disproportionate. Other jobs such as legal weekly pay, trucking, and even convenience store stuff pays more. IRL, heroin addicts spend about $150-$200 USD a day. When compared to script purchasable items such as a mask ($5000), Notes ($4000 for 100), Fuel, Insurance, the current drug prices imo are too low to make any financial sense for someone entering the trade. Its all about the RP but it can be kind of boring when there's no real consumer market. Gun dealers have a crazy margin due to what a gun can be used for on the server. Just need to find a way to make the drug script interesting and necessary for players on the server.
  4. The house robbing script is pretty risky. You got 2-5 min, 1 box worth 1k every 15-30 sec. LEO will show up pretty fast for a payout of 3-4k. If anything the payout should be increased for the risk.
  5. Someone who is able to break down information and understand things could see past someone's temper tantrum. A good admin will be able to detach themselves from the emotion of a situation and analyze what happened in relation to the rules. Experiences may vary though, not everyone is as emotionally adept or experienced enough to deal with conflict.
  6. Well if I see a duck, I could be nice about calling it a duck. Or be super mean and vulgar to describe it. At the end of the day, its still a duck. I agree that being rude or disrespectful would cloud the message being conveyed but...its still the same message if you read between the lines.
  7. I agree with remaining respectful but.. instead of "rephrasing", perhaps the senior admin team should be closely monitoring the activities of said sub team to address the issue before a player feels the need to send a mean PM. Communication only goes so far, players feel frustrated that their voice isn't heard because they don't see anything meaningful being done, for perspective.
  8. Reporting people is kind of a lame way to deal with something that can be prevented in a sensible way. Someone who gets spammed on or what have it needs to make a report, then roll the dice if someone shows up. If not? It has to go to the forum or to a faction report which can take days or weeks. However, the player is expected to roleplay it regardless until admin intervention. It’s not a solution.
  9. Detailed Description I'm suggesting the script for Beanbags and Tasers be adjusted to be more in line with realistic effects. Bean Bag - Remove instant ragdoll effect, replace with simple non lethal blunt force damage. Perhaps a disorienting effect. Instant rag-dolling is very powerful and honestly kind of detrimental to a good role-play experience. Taser - The true effectiveness of tasers are dependent on what a person is wearing, and if the probes both make solid connections. Due to the nature of the game, I propose the script reduces the effectiveness to 70%, as per these real life statistics taken from real US departments, (near the bottom of the page) https://www.npr.org/2019/06/27/729922975/despite-widespread-use-police-rate-tasers-as-less-effective-than-believed Relevant Commands/Items Beanbag Shotgun Taser How will it benefit the server? Removes the way too powerful and instant incapacitation of bean bag shotguns which can be spammed, and removes the 100% success rate of tasers that also instantly incapacitate.
  10. Add a chance to overdose and die, not sure why drugs boost HP. They all have detrimental health implications.
  11. Hi all, Myself and many others have noticed an unreasonable increase of violence on the server involving guns and so on. Is anyone else noticing this? For example, yesterday we had a multitude of shootings which resulted in many, many local residents of the city dead including 10 LEOs in one particular scene. Sometimes I'm confused with what the server wishes to portray. Is this acceptable for everyone? Is this just an isolated day of violent play? Please discuss in a cordial manner - hopefully deeper insight from Administrator feedback will shed some light on some solutions to extreme violence in this supposedly modern city. Thanks!
  12. reason for entering the hood?
  13. I understand where this rule suggestion comes from but it’s just not enforceable or reasonable with the current restrictions. I think admins could focus their efforts on other core issues and major rule breaks instead of targeting the 1-2/700 people online who fly around in the helicopter. Internal regulation can have the same effect on the concerns described by many here, and should be prioritized over arbitrary rule enforcement.
  14. Good day, in recent discussions of balance which improves the experience of every player in the community, please consider the following: Detailed Description (3) second delay when entering/exiting any interior. Relevant Commands/Items Simple timer upon pressing Y or /enter How will it benefit the server? Unfortunately this game mechanic provides an unfair advantage to those running from assailants or more commonly Law Enforcement. Most situations where criminals are being chased into an interior end up in a loss due to the lightning quick entry. As a result, this produces an unfair advantage for the person whom entered the interior first. This would apply to all players entering and exiting, being consistent with real life times of approaching the door, entering, and closing it (thus removing line of sight). please discuss, thank you. I feel like this would be a great change for balance in the current server dynamic.
  15. So it’s abundantly clear that this an issue for the server right now. The only people that can really fix this is the administration team and hopefully this topic serves as a petition of some sort. I feel that rule breakers need to be held more accountable. For example, my last report was made because my character’s apartment safe was looted without roleplay (admin verified, took 8 weapons which some were used in Davis mass shootings). It took 2 weeks for the forum report to be resolved and the reported party simply ghosted. They ended up with a simple warning on the forum which they most definitely did not read. To me it was painfully obvious that the character was a throw away for some dishonest players and was a bit disappointed that the admin team didn’t look into it further. Additionally, it took from November 10 - December 3 for the refund request to be approved. In total, this particular issue was reported on October 24 and finally refunded in game on December 4th. 40 days. This is just one of many similar qualms I’ve had and as a result my motivation to report people is minimal. The standards here need to be tightened up a bit and ultimately lead by the server leadership for any real effect. This behaviour just perpetuates what we see in game today and is detrimental to the quality, fair and overall genuine players of the community.
  16. Easy way to bring this into perspective is by imagining LEO or FD disconnecting mid arrest or mid injury treatment for the sake of leaving. Same thing. I don’t agree with how lenient some situations are handled and it’s really a waste of time to report people even if you hand the evidence on a silver platter. it’s the culture atm which needs a bit of a refresh. Who wants to spend upwards to an hour for a disposition of 15 minutes time out or a warning..
