Hi guys, To answer a few questions. Yes we are 100% live, as @Sim mentioned, you can text us on 169169 or 108108 and we'll read your messages live on air. We're active in-game and are trying to host events and engage with people. From an IC perspective we'll also be looking to expand the company with extra roles, but at the moment we literally make $0 at the moment IG. So we're working on a solution to this. Advertising is an avenue we're setting up at the moment, but also our suggestion of paid text messages is how a lot of radio stations make additional money IRL, so if you want to have a look at that suggestion we posted (see first post). The only pre-recorded content we'll have is company advertisements that we'll play while live on air. If we're off air we'll also put some pre-recorded advertisements, news reels or interesting interviews. On the note of interviews we want YOU GUYS, the interesting player base of GTA:W on air with us talking about whatever (all IC of course). If you want to get involved, feel free to shoot us a PM (from an IC or OOC standpoint) letting us know what you want to help us with. This is only short term, as mentioned once we get our faction page officially up we can start offering actual roles and positions to you guys. This does include radio hosts, but there will be a heavy vetting process for this as we have to be very cautious, but it is something we want. We want our network to expand! At the moment we have a little apartment in Vespucci that we have converted a room into a studio. It's rudimental and very 'bodged' which is what we're going for as we're trying to build this station along with our character development. As we get bigger, money gets rolling and the support grows we already have our eyes set on a studio and would be needing talented interior designers to help us with that! But that's in the (near?) future.

We both @Leecho and @DoctorJxy live in the UK. We usually hit the airwaves around Midnight, 1am, 2am etc. On weekends we aim for peak player base hours. I also want to run a show earlier in the afternoon like 1pm/2pm.

Thanks for the kind words. We'll definitely vet people before they're on air. We have the ability to cut transmission too to prevent anything we don't want going on air.

Thanks for the feedback! We have definitely talked about expanding this into a network, and it is an end-goal of ours. We are definitely focusing on this station for the time being. We would love to work with others too!

Hello everyone! Myself @Leecho (Isaac Freeman) and @DoctorJxy (Pierre Cloud) have started PlaybackFM, Los Santos' only IC Talk Show and Radio station. We are currently in our infancy, and are working with FM to get the ball rolling. In the meantime we've been on air and have had a lot of fun engaging with you guys in-game. We've ran a few small competitions, a few dilemmas and general topical talks, that accompanied by an ever evolving playlist of music. The love we have been getting from you guys that have tuned in to station 108 has been great, and it boosts our morale to want to keep going on air. On an OOC level we are offering a non-profit service and aim to keep this going as we have a passion for radio. In Character we hope to monetise where possible and make a loveable radio station that brings a level of fame to Los Santos. We aim to work with a lot of media related factions such as Magnolia Records and also Los Santos News Network, but this is only the beginning. We will be offering advertisement space for companies, regular news updates and more. At the moment our shows are sporadic and not scheduled, this is due to a few real life commitments, but mostly our broadcasts have been more of a test broadcast to see if the public like what we're doing. We are now leaving our beta phase (so to speak) and are ready to start bringing scheduled live entertainment to Los Santos!! We have a lot of ideas to expand but that can only happen once this ball really gets rolling. We will be getting callers (you guys) on the radio and having your voice heard across Los Santos. Hosting massive raffles for cash prizes, cars and more! But ultimately none of this will be possible without you guys, the player base. Tune in on station 108 or 169 History PlaybackFM was the popular radio station you listened to in the 90's. Featuring nostalgic Rap and East-Coast Hip-Hop, PlaybackFM educated its listeners in the the Golden Age of Hip-Hop and introduced up and coming artists from across the states including Los Santos, featuring the likes of Mad Dogg, OG Loc and more. Although originating from the East Coast, PlaybackFM's popularity shot up in the West Coast, specifically Los Santos where it delved further into West Coast Hip Hop, featuring artists such as 2Pac, Dr. Dre and other founding fathers of Hip Hop. PlaybackFM eventually fell in popularity with the rise of popular radio stations such as Radio Los Santos, iFruit Radio and West Coast Classics. Moving from Liberty City to Los Santos, they duo worked tirelessly to fund the equipment for their home studio and acquire the necessary licenses to get the show on the road. With the launch of PlaybackFM, the duo will bring a comedic take to Los Santos' airwaves, rivalling current radio stations who only seem to run playlists on the air. Tune in on station 108 or 169! Presenters Pierre Cloud (( @DoctorJxy )) grew up in the projects of North Holland, Algonquin, Liberty City with his mother and sister in a low income household. During his teenage years he was employed at a local internet café, TW@, part time whilst attending school in order to support his family. During this time, Pierre found himself constantly tuning into Playback FM hosted by Forth Right MC at the time. Not soon after, Pierre would then grow to form a friendship with Isaac Freeman who also worked part time at the internet café. Trying to escape the life of quick money and short-term goals, Pierre knew he wanted to expand his horizons and within those years his favourite childhood radio station turned defunct. From a few conversations with his friend Isaac he was convinced to move from his hometown in the east coast, where he journeyed west to San Andreas' Los Santos in pursuit of starting something big in the name of continuing Forth Right MC's legacy. Isaac Freeman (( @Leecho )) grew up orphaned in North Holland, Liberty City where he spent most of his time earning quick money and getting into trouble. He met Pierre Cloud at a local internet café where they both worked and vibed out to PlaybackFM, but soon after he left for London, England to escape troubles that were brewing in Liberty City. Five years later, Isaac flew to Los Santos, San Andreas after brewing an idea with Pierre to restart PlaybackFM after its fall and make it the best radio station in America. Owning a few bars in Las Venturas, Isaac has sold all properties and invested all his capital into making PlaybackFM grow. Shows TBA TBA

The above suggestion is perfect for what factions and business could use to help manage their calls. Myself @Leecho and @DoctorJxy have set up @PlaybackFM (an IG Talk show radio station) and we get a lot of text messages from listeners who wish to engage, ask their questions, answer competitions etc on the radio station. At the moment we have two phones that are our 'business phones' but it can be confusing to listeners as to which number to message sometimes. A lot of radio stations in real life get listeners to text or call in with their dilemmas etc but also monetise this feature. My suggestion is to allow businesses/factions (who have been given admin approval) to monetise texts and calls that come through. That way as a radio station we can actually start making money. I believe that a faction/business leader should be able to turn the feature on or off and also choose how much to charge each text/caller. This is a key source of income for radio businesses and is something that we are missing out on, especially being in the infant days of PlaybackFM. To summarise, allow faction leaders to create a business/faction phone line, and choose to monetise the line so that if someone texts the number, they get billed that amount and that amount is sent to the faction bank/business bank. I believe to make this non-non-abuseable, business/faction leaders would have to request this feature on the forums and get FM approval. Also a max figure should be set so that faction leaders cannot scam players out of thousands. I personally believe (1k per text at a maximum). However, I know at PlaybackFM we only want to charge users $250. Something small to keep it harmless for listeners, but something worthwhile for the business/faction to run.
