  1. Hey all, lets keep the focus of this discussion on topic. Lets avoid personal attacks on the people behind the characters over what they are portraying in character. If this gets sidetracked into discussing peoples OOC beliefs and ad hominem attacks. We'll have to close the discussion.
  2. Hey there. I play a LEO character and I'm very active in the county. Yet the RP I've experienced in Sandy has been way more fun than the RP I generally encounter in LS. You just gotta be able to RP around the current events going on and understand who are you are RPing with. Like others have said if you're getting attacked and PKed for no legitimate reason with no reasonable escalation. /report.
  3. Auto bail in general just had never sat right with me. But the reality is, most players will plea guilty even when they are innocent purely to avoid court rp. So it is what it is.
  4. I think it is somewhat unrealistic when you see characters wearing masks 24/7. But I do understand why. People name check... constantly. You can roll up to watch a group several blocks down and one of them will always run down the street to name check. There are alot of behaviors that are common that really aren't in the spirit of good roleplay.
  5. Evangeline Blackwood and Ashton Love hands down. @ChromaticDeath
  6. I agree, it's pretty common in legal factions too. I've seen way too many people who act like their IC rank is a thing ooc, over the years. It's super cringe.
  7. Police Reponses in South Central is usually the level it is usually because of the sheer level of open violence in the area. The level of unrealistic shoot outs multiple times in a day generally results in a higher police presence. Cause and effect.
  8. If you feel that would be helpful sure. Generally feedback is more helpful when it's specific rather than a very broad "I don't like it.".
  9. Dooley is not the faction leader of SAPR any longer, and SAPR is also doing very well at the moment.
  10. Congrats everyone! @Selena@Adv congrats you two 😄
  11. I think the biggest problem with this suggestion is that if such a thing existed every single criminal RPer would just tune directly into the station when they suspect they'll get into a pursuit. Pretty rare for criminals in the real world to be toting around police scanners because as was said before TAC channels are encrypted but also it just wouldn't be that useful. In the real world pursuits don't go 120+ mph through city streets you'd have traffic to contend with. Just wouldn't functionally be a great idea sadly.
  12. I think this would probably be a pretty good feature especially since most people listen to custom stations anyways. It's also not generally commonly known to many new members of the community that you need to go into single player to disable the music all together as the settings won't save outside of single player. A feature like this might actually remove the need for many people needing to do that.
  13. I kind of agree that a jarring snap of the character would be immersion breaking, a head follow command would actually be a really cool feature for roleplay. I agree though having something in this area would be a good Quality of Life feature, just a matter if the dev team has the time to take something like this up and how much work it would take. Definitely hope it's something that gets looked at though!
  14. Yeah I think this might be a pretty nice feature to have. The melee system in the base game is really random sometimes. Go to swing at one person and then end up hitting someone who just happens to be somewhere nearby your character. At the very least have some kind of indicator who you're going to hit when your swing would be really nice. I think this would be a really good quality of life feature.
  15. Seems like a pretty realistic vehicle to have, could see it fitting into a number of types of Rp. Good suggestion!
  16. I definitely think the standard for a CK to be approved needs to be fairly high. CKing someone over some pretty simple beef, or just because someone called the cops on a character who is actively breaking into your home and what not isn't really conducive to great RP. I think that a high standard on CK applications should exist to ensure that CKs aren't just throwing out someones character development over something that in the grand scheme of things wasn't very important or even very well roleplayed. Especially since some CKs are most definitely OOCly motivated rather than ICly motivated.
  17. Could be pretty cool. Honestly I would like more items like that to be something you need to purchase and equip in order to use. Would add more functionality to the things you buy.
  18. Not a bad idea, definitely a good quality of life suggestion. I'd like to see combined commands for this along with helmets or hat for people who are wearing helmets and such. Would love to see something like this implemented!
