  1. Word = "I understand what you are saying" or "I agree" It's short for "Word up" which also means "I agree"
  2. How to avoid getting harassed by gangsters:
  3. Find a different target that will be easier. Robbers are opportunists and don't often look for a fight. If they are met with one, they quit rather easily. Lots of videos on youtube demonstrating this. ESPECIALLY those that decide to rob legally armed victims.
  4. Beat them up to force compliance instead then. Escalation goes up in levels. Knock them out and take their shit. Why does it have to escalate all the way to killing? You clearly don't realise just how bad of a situation that puts you in, worse than robbing them in the first place.
  5. The rule favours the robber's side. It needs to be balanced and they should be rping fear that maybe illegal actions would result in their own death too. Robbers are desperate people, maybe for money or food. They aren't doing it because they like it. Edit: Robberies shouldn't be so aggressive either. Your victim might comply better if you try to keep them calm. And: Robber tries to rob victim. Victim fights back, and wins. Robber submits an OOC report on the victim for powergaming. Rather than taking it as an IC loss which does happen in real life, they have to go OOC and explain why they should've won. Robber tries to rob victim. Victim fights back but loses. It could end there but this is a community where people aren't exactly very nice or respectful, and seem to get off on ruining people's effort in order to further their own. They submit a CK report just to put the final nail in the coffin, just because the rules give them that ability. There's a reason the administration team have the final say in decisions like this rather than handing the responsibility over to players.
  6. Another suggestion - the rule should be adjusted for the expectation of robbers to rp fear in what they are doing. In real life, most of the time, robbers are not murderers. They are opportunists that try to find the easiest take. Their goal is to take something of value. That isn't to say they aren't a deadly threat and it should always be assumed they could kill you at any moment, but most of the time, it is in their best interest to let you live. Killing someone after a robbery is strictly prohibited by the rules, otherwise it would be logical to just shoot you first. Therefore, killing during a robbery should be heavily discouraged, unless the victim is resisting using deadly force, rather than due to the fact they they didn't piss their pants fast enough. Think about it, you're trying to rob someone, and they put up resistance and you kill them. Problem solved? No. You've made it worse. Murder is very messy, bodies do not disappear, the cleanup might take you hours, if you can even be bothered to clean up rather than leaving them in the street. You've also just drawn a lot of attention to yourself, when a robbery would be much quieter. Rather than a robbery charge, you are now facing a charge for murder, which means life in prison rather than a sentence ranging from months to a decade. Fear of such a sentence should be properly shown by the robbers. And to organised crime factions: Murder is bad for business. I'll say it again - Murder is bad for business. Instead, just leave them alone and try and go find an easier target. And there's also the: "Rp fear" *Types a couple of extra lines to indicate distress, crying, begging for their life etc* "Stop stalling!" Stop rushing. Give us room to breathe and type, don't forget we might be nervous irl because hours worth of work into our character is at risk. Robbers aren't usually prepared for someone to resist, so if they're met with resistance, they'll run away - fast. There are plenty of videos on youtube of this happening. There's also plenty of videos of robbers actually meeting their demise against armed victims on channels like Active Self Protection. Why? Because robbers are stupid, most of the time. They're untrained, don't know what they are doing with their firearms, meanwhile a legal gun owner might be more well trained.

    add horse

Need this so badly. It would complete my rp as a cowgirl rancher.
  8. Most people think that roleplay is black or white, legal or illegal but forget the grey middle. What exactly defines an illegal character and therefor a criminal? A billy badass that sells drugs and has killed 10 people? Not only those. Those people make up 1% of the population in real life. Doing any illegal act makes you a criminal. Smoke weed? Youre a criminal. Prostitute yourself? You are a criminal. Steal a chocolate bar from the grocery store? Youve just committed a crime and youre a criminal. Do those types get to be in the illegal rp discussion group or do only the worst types qualify? How illegal would they need to be? We shouldnt try to set up elitists group safe spaces because you think other players may not fit your agenda. We shouldnt try to draw lines between the two as some, and illegal rpers need to stop assuming that legal rp is the only rp that legal roleplayers have done, as some of us have been on the illegal side and went more legal. Not all of us on the legal side are 100% goody two shoes, we all have a dark side so we dont need to be divided.
  9. No, because those are in-game events and characters, and they actually know how to separate them from real life.
  10. We banned IRL faceclaims and pictures, so why stop there? Because as mentioned from the LSRP post, it was banned because people were using it as an excuse to mess around, like coughing on each other etc. People on Facebrowser are using this whole George Floyd thing as an excuse to be toxic and go out on a witch hunt, and some even using the site to spread NOTHING BUT posts about Black Lives Matter. How in any way does that contribute to the events that happen in game? How is anything they're saying IC, how is it roleplaying? We could & should have a Black Lives Matter movement IN GAME. We should protest police brutality IN GAME, when it happens. We should NOT be talking about or protesting real life events, because all people are doing is posting their real life opinions on it, and not their character's. It's getting annoying and it doesn't feel like a game anymore. IC, we can't do anything about irl events. No campaigns, no change.org petitions. But we can react to things that happen in game. I come on this server to escape real life. I see enough hate being posted on real Facebook. Let's please consider stopping discussion / protest of real life controversies. TV shows, games, movies, yeah let's keep those.
