    And? Right now the way it is is whoever is OOCly better at using the in game fighting system wins. People rarely even actually RP fighting. Doesn't that make even less sense?

    Some changes to make this suggestion actually work: 1. One stat only (fighting skill.) Don't increase player HP nor melee damage; instead, decrease the amount of damage that fists (and perhaps other blunt weapons) that other players do to your player. If the player HP is increased they means they gain resistance to bullets and knives which makes no sense and incentivizes people to grind the gym to maximize their player stats. For example, as your stats go up, you would take progressively less damage per hit from fists (right now 11, as stats go up it would be 10, then 9, then 8 etc.) 2. You have to do it consistently to keep your stat up. For example, let's say the fighting skill stat has a maximum of 6 points (11 damage per hit -> 5 damage per hit,) you would have to do gym RP for 30 minutes every 2 days to gain 1 point, but if you miss the RP in 2 days you would lose 1 point. You need to train consistently to be able to keep yourself sharp. The goal is to minimize the utility provided by grinding this so unless you're really interested in gym/boxing RP it would be mostly pointless to do. In fact, this could even create certain scenarios where you're disincentivized from training. For example, if you were fighting someone the same size/fighting skills as you, it might be non-RP to escalate it beyond a fist fight. However, if you were fighting against a guy that's huge/really good at fighting, it would make sense for your character to directly escalate to knives or even guns because you KNOW you would be dominated in a fist fight.
