  1. Yeah I dunno. I've always just role-played my character having a pilots license and never had a issue. It makes sense in my characters stories and he's been talking about it since 2018 in character. No one cares guys. Just fly if you would like to, and roleplay properly and no one will have an Issue with it.
  2. I've echoed this many times, but players need to work stuff out between themselves more. However this is the environment GTA:W has created and fostered themselves, the run to a admin mentality for players.
  3. I've always felt like the car prices in game should be OOC and it should be up to you to decide the price your character paid. Mainly because for example the Dominator GTX which is supposed to be a newer Mustang GT, is listed for like 300k or something ridiculous. When would a mustang GT ever be 300k? Thus the prices should be OOC and it should be up to you to decide what your character would have paid. Or they need someone with actual knowledge of vehicles to re-do the prices. Good luck with that though. As for my under-rated vehicle; I would honestly say probably the mammoth patriot. If you customize it correctly they can be cool. And really you do see a lot of these here in the states. When the H2 launched, it literally went on back-order for like 2 years.
  4. I cant not express enough how much this rings true and speaks to my personal experiences on the server of being a business owner. AMEN The main reason I stopped running my business was because I got tired of "donating" 24$ a month when the server just continues to have issues. I know its a donation but it's hard to continue to support something that is so obviously broken. Also just a side tangent about money in game, It literally means nothing. No one is that impressed by your digital currency, and being someone who has "fuck you" money on their character I can tell you it's not that great and my best times on the server have never revolved around money, buying things, or owning material things on the server. It's come from good quality role-play experiences. Have to give it to my father because he taught me something important early in life: "If you ever need to understand why something is the way it is, Just follow the money and 9 times out of 10 you will have your answer." Do I have the solution? No. But it's like you guys don't even fucking try, you just continue to rehash the same bullshit over and over while tacking on rules and rules and rules. The problem is the community and peoples attitudes towards one another, not the rules. Something this server has bit itself in the butt for, As opposed to fostering a closer tight knit community and having role players work things out between them selves you've fostered a "tattle tale" "run to the admin" mentality because apparently were all too stupid too figure these things out ourselves. You did this to yourselves. And i've literally been saying this now for 2 years. I've been here since 2018 since before we were on RAGE. I've been banned, unbanned, and ajailed and I'm not perfect but damn, it's hard to watch this ship sail lopsided like it is now. It's a love hate relationship for me. Get rid of the red tape bullshit and paywalls.

  10. Sharing is caring! I personally think there is enough interest from people to justify sharing the space with other factions for the sake of accommodation. More public racing RP is something I have wished was on the server for a long time personally and fully support the idea as long as it's done properly of course.
  11. It's 2022. Who still uses physical catalogs for things? yikes.
  12. I think all realism regarding the economy in GTA:W has gone out the window when the server portrays a mustang GT as a vehicle that costs 315k. Also for a server full of "heavy RPers" kinda shocks me that people are concerned with others in game assets. This is the culture the server has created itself. There is no /fix/ Leme ask you this. Lets say everyone logged in and the economy was reset, and everything was /cheaper/ (scaled down in price) Would you still be mad when people had money and cars? Probably.... Stay in your lane, let the admins do their jobs, and quit sideline dictating how people should roleplay.
  13. Holy hell brother, I think you're way off base. When we talk about flipping we are referring to "phone dealers mainly." People who sit on their cell phones and list 25 vehicles for sale and that is all that they do in game. If someone has a lease and owns a dealership it wouldn't be called flipping, it would be called running their business I don't think you know what you're talking about brotherman. This thread has gone no where but has served as a circle jerk for 3 dealers stroking their ego's while bashing others. I'm out. Have fun.
  14. This is false as you can go to their website and see they have literal race cars for sale. Anyways, thats off topic once again. Theres also a dealer who's been doing it longer than both of those people combined and has books going back to 2018. But hey. What do I know?
  15. We work within the confines of a server that is not perfect and not completely flushed out. Besides, this thread is about car flippers anyway. If a dealer has a expensive car next to a Rusty Rebel as you say, make a RPQM report and let the admins handle it, stop sideling. I would also be curious how many vehicles on the server are /cheap/ compared to ones that are /55,000/ and above. I would venture to say there are a lot less cheap vehicles available in general as well, if we really wanna go that route... since people seem to lack nuance.
  16. Yeah I know we've had that suggestion for a while. I figured this might be a easier/quicker fix we could get for now.
  17. I'd like to suggest that the font size for the text on /carsign be lowered. As it stands it's kinda a eye sore when you have multiple vehicles close by, and simply making the font smaller would make things look much cleaner.
  18. That's true you are right, guess I wasn't thinking when I typed that.
  19. The big issues I have with the discussion regarding limiting dealers to a certain type or price range of vehicle, is that in the used market I HAVE NO CONTROL over what people bring me as far as things to buy. If other dealers want to limit themselves be my guest. It would be one thing if we were supplied by LFM or had some type of bulk auction for dealers (a fantastic idea btw) And a shoutout to whoever ran that vehicle auction I attended over the summer that was amazing. but that's not how it works, its completely driven by the current market. Plus I may never have inventory if I just have to sit around and wait for someone to bring me a specific type / price vehicle to sell. I will say my goal was to mainly stick to lower budget vehicles, which I have done by far. Occasionally a high end vehicle for a good price comes my way, sue me. I MOVE WITH THE MARKET, which is what would happen in real life. Not only that but it's unrealistic, go to almost any used car lot and they will have a wide range of vehicles/prices (for the most part obviously there's exceptions to this.) *From someone who's bought several vehicles from used dealers in the past, and has worked at 3 different dealerships in the past irl. As for the flipping thing, it's been echoed but to me the best solution still seems to be, simply limit the number of vehicles sales per month for non dealership employee's. (Which would still be abuseable as people could just avoid the /sellvehicle script and bank transfer the funds independently of the script. Which im not a fan of people being able to do at all.)
  20. 🤦🏻 Who said it had any of those things. It was used as a example. Also didn't know you were a pricing expert and have all the prices for all the vehicles sold by private businesses. Let's keep on topic though brother.
  21. Your one and two points are very good and I think that both of those things would be good for the server and I think that being one of the dealers in question here that I would be able to adhere to a certain price range if need be. The other side of the coin to that though is many dealerships have a wide range of vehicles price wise, I know that I worked in real life at a Jaguar / Volvo dealership in the literal ghetto of my city and they had vehicles ranging from 15K all the way up to 150k Plus some of the newer jaguars are very expensive. So it might not be the best solution. Though for the sake of the server might not be a bad solution. As for the phone dealers I personally don't see them as competition. My whole thing was I wanna have a in person experience, where people physically come to the lot and talk to me. That's why I don't actively run a website because I feel it's impersonal. I do think restricting vehicle transactions for anyone not employed at a dealership is a great idea however. I also think making it easier for players to apply for a dealership is a good idea while not lacking on quality. Let people at least try who want to. Competition will be good for the market.
  22. I'd also like to just step in and mention that assuming the condition of a vehicle on any dealer's lot would be a metagame how do you know that that vstr doesn't have missing body panels, needs a new engine, or has a busted transmission or something? Because you just assumed. As far as the boat goes again that's something that you just assumed. Little do you know that's actually my personal boat that I just listed to see if anyone would be interested in buying it down the road. Should I have maybe made a private listing for it, probably. The vast majority of vehicles that are bought and sold at my dealership located in the inner city are all vehicles that are pretty much valued under 70k and I have literal books to back that up. Is it that big of a deal and unrealistic to have a expensive speed boat when my character has been on the server selling vehicles in character on that particular character since 2018 pre GTA world? Absolutely not. Do you think that I was initially grilled by PM as far as the location of my dealer being in a high crime area when I first applied for the lease? Absolutely. So I don't understand why people want to sit here and play admin when we really just need to be talking about fixing the issue rather than blaming people and standing on high horses acting like we do nothing wrong playing blame games. I'm not perfect. You're not perfect. Let's be productive and talk about how we can fix the issue.
