  1. I'll leave a brief opinion here for now, but personally, prison role play would be more active and vibrant if prison sentences were much longer. Generally, there should be a compromise between IC and OOC, but I personally think that prison sentences for felonies are too short and actually limit players' time in prison - hence why players often complain about it being inactive/dead. For the most part, this is actually true. For instance, a player gets jailed for murder, and assuming they would actively role play in prison, they're released in a very, very short amount of time. This is unfortunate for prison role play. It even encourages players to abuse the AFK script. I know it's easy to blame players, but part of why they do that is because there's nobody in prison to role play with (because once again, sentences are too short). Unfortunately, I know that stuff like this is out of control. The option is there for those who want to realistically roleplay in prison to request more time, but very few people do.

    Corrupt LSPD

Well see nowadays LSPD don't really dive into having human emotion when it comes to interacting with civilians because 90 - 95 percent of the server don't show any competence. And therefore LSPD don't really consider wasting their time trying to base their character development around dealing with their daily occurences. Because most of the stuff they encounter is people doing stuff that wouldn't make sense like shooting at cops because they got pulled over for failing to yield, and they're scared that the cops will see the guns and arrest em, however it makes no sense that they're carrying around a gun in the first place. Anyway, long story short unless you actually role-play around the cops and show some form of actual character development they may put effort into role-playing with you and then maybe you can convince some of them to take a bribe or help you.
  3. Actual journalism is something that I feel SAN lacks, while your stories aren't terrible, they often lack a lot of depth. Most journalists often have contacts everywhere, from big corporations to politicians and so on. I also feel like politics is going to be a topic that will be good to report on. The news just seems to cover live tragedies rather than real journalism. Make some real talk shows and forbid idiots from coming on there.

  7. Although a general discussion about this is great and good for the community to get talking about a topic. If you're into illegal roleplay, and you do something drastic enough to achieve 15 hours, then that is your fault. You cannot act as a criminal and then find yourself upset when you have to play the repercussions out. There is a full list detailing how long people must serve in prison, with a minimum and maximum sentence. If you kill, kidnap, or attempt to harm somebody, you will get a long sentence. This follows suit with a number of other charges. In addition, there is an entire prison ecosystem dedicated to prison roleplay. You will have to find time and be online, if possible, with the players who roleplay in prison full time. Nobody has to AFK. The bottom line is that you can find the communities through IC and OOC means (Discord, for example) and see when they are available to interact with. If you are in a poor timezone, it is simply tough luck. You cannot change the case for one individual when there are hundreds of other players who are subjected to the full time because they are in a different timezone. I support this, and totally.
  8. People should role-play characters associated to a faction, not role-play part of the faction. No leader should enforce set templates or moan if somebody has a character slightly different to what they'd prefer. Their flaws were a big downside in-game but they were there, they were with us and the role-play they produced was really good.
  9. Final chapter. This is the end of my character LaVonte Dunn. I had a lot of fun within SYC , but it all comes to an end. This topic can be locked.
  10. First, I want to say that I personally don’t have experience with Faction Management in recent years/months so I’m working with other people’s anecdotal evidence but if many people who are not related to each other say the same thing there must be some truth to it. Second, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that there is a conflict of interest when someone in a position of power who holds responsibility over an area and a group of people is operating within that same area- and group. That’s like having 2 attorneys participate in a trial but one of the attorneys is the judge. That’s a severe violation of conflict of interest and should never happen. Positions of power in Faction Management or any other management should be restricted to people who have no conflict of interest. Otherwise, we are breaking one of the fundamental rules of GTAW which is that the game- and rules must be balanced and fair for everyone.

    Bank transfer

Short description: Being able to make a money transfer in a bank, without owning a smartphone. Detailed description: Currently, people who do not have a smartphone are unable to make bank transfers even though they are in the bank. Which doesn't make sense to me, since we're supposed to be able to transfer money if we're in a bank. We don't need a smartphone for that and sadly, the script is somewhat forces people to acquire a smartphone to have access to this feature. Commands to add: /moneytransfer [ID] [Amount] [Reason] or /bankmoneytransfer [ID] [Amount] [Reason] Items to add: No. How would your suggestion improve the server? More immersion and accuracy overall. Additional information: N/A
  12. Yes, it means the place is already owned by someone. You will have to find another spot and go through the UCP request process.
