  1. If this is sarcastic, I want to express that my view on going to jail is not that it is an OOC punishment. When one of my characters went to jail after committing his first crime, I was very excited by the prospect of seeing his evolution in jail. The problem is that many, many people do think of it as an OOC punishment. If you don't think that's the case, you have obviously never experienced jail from the legal perspective. It's very obvious when you see people constantly run past you after doing /release, just to go to the Common Area and do /releaseme, instead of handling it ICly. While that's just one example, there are countless others that anyone who regularly spends time in the jail surely experience.
  2. Short description: Rather than housing every offender in TTCF (a jail), allow misdemeanor offenders to just RP serving jail time (which shouldn't be an OOC punishment) and send felony offenders to Bolingbroke Penitentiary (a prison). PLEASE READ THE DETAILED DESCRIPTION. Detailed description: Presently, every arrestee is sent to the Twin Towers Correctional Facility, with the continuity reason being that prisons are overcrowded (sometimes people also RP awaiting their trial). This forces countless individuals who have absolutely no OOC interest in role playing in a custody setting to do so, which creates an environment that isn't enjoyable for dedicated jail factions and the custody staff alike. My suggestion is to overhaul this system, to the following: Create the San Andreas Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (SADCR). I am aware there were many issues with having a jail and a prison in the past, but I believe the nuances of my suggestion should prevent those. SADCR should be staffed by people who are actually interested in prison role play (which present many more realistic role play opportunities than jail role play). One consideration may be to allow SADCR staff to also be in another legal faction (e.g., one character in LSPD and one in SADOC), as I am sure many people currently in legal factions may be interested in this kind of role play, but not exclusively this kind of role play. Felons (convicted or awaiting trial, don't want to split people up unnecessarily) are sent to Bolingbroke Penitentiary. Misdemeanants simply NPC their jail time and can role play their length of stay in accordance with the Penal Code. Remove mandatory online amounts from sentences (I'm not positive whether or not this is still a thing). Commands to add: Probably several prison-related commands, I am willing to do the legwork in detailing all the jail commands that need to be switched over to prison commands if this suggestion gains real traction. Items to add: Ideally the current jail scripts need to be expanded upon with more items, but that is not at the core of my suggestion (though it should be part of the overall process of overhauling custody role play). How would your suggestion improve the server? It would create an actually enjoyable role play environment for everyone involved, rather than the current system that is, for many, just an OOC punishment. Any kind of role play setting should not be full of people who feel forced to be there, or it will always bring down the quality and experience across the board. A prison setting, supported by prison (not jail) factions and guards, allows for a much deeper, more regimented system akin to the real life CDCR — and a system primarily full of people who actually want to role play in a custody environment, creating an enjoyable experience even for those who don't necessarily want to be there. Additional information: Just as a final point, I would like to add that I am currently in the LSSD and have experienced custody role play from both sides of the bars. I know there is a TTCF remap in the works and, while that's great, I do not believe that the current mapping is even close to being the core issue.

RIP. Excited to see what you get up to next.
  4. Nothing but good shit from these guys. Glad to see you boys are still going strong.
  5. Did any of the clothing mods you installed require you to edit RPFs inside of RPFs? Because you have to extract and archivefix those, as well.
