Well this problem has been in this server ever since I can remember, the only difference is that the sync is way better now. With that said, every player that has been in GTAW more than three months know about the races on the Canyon which are mostly an OOC fest where no-one ever RPs crashes, most of the illegal street racing community in GTA Roleplay are not interested in RPing breaking their cars because that would mean that they couldn't race again and had to get some medical help, it breaks the "immersion" of "Fast and Furious" which is what those people are here to relive, This is such a general problem that I've seen ex members of PD in those races, yesterday, I was calmly driving at 40 something mph on the canyon and am rammed by multiple cars that don't RP a single thing, they just kept driving like nothing ever happened, on the other hand I was able to see their cars crashing against the road rails and them ignoring it too. We don't need speed-traps like it's suggested above, we just need to actually educate people on how to drive properly and force that education when things don't seem to get accepted, because for some reason people think it's okay to do something if GTA driving/car mechanics allow them to. Speed traps won't do anything about it because what people need is to understand how to drive, speed-traps will just make the illegal racing community to find another roads to make their races at, instead of starting to properly RP their driving.

Especially during the night time, if you're worried about the environment just get an electric or hybrid vehicle...
