Shiiit, I haven't been in an actual shootout in over a year, and I'm in SWAT.

2 will straight up be abused. 3. Admins already have enough on their plate and this just adds more. Based on my experience in a lot of investigations (Was a Captain in PD doing DB stuff) the moment any kind of NPC stuff gets involved in a case, you start to get the MG/PG accusations thrown around and it just leads to a non-favorable experience for both sides.

People bitching about LEOs not wanting to sit on a scene with no viable evidence, leads, or actual avenues of roleplay other than calling a coroner and waiting for them to get there after 15-30 minutes. How about we address the insane amount of violence that makes the server look like Mogadishu in 1993 so we don't have to worry about the streets flooding with random ass uninvestigable bodies? Also shout out to those folks who can't roleplay already driving over their friend's bodies and picking them up and throwing them in their trunk like it's a loot crate they can open later. Glad you prefer a pixel gun over actual roleplay.

Honestly, we should be trading out Ajails for temp bans. 1, 2, or 3 day temp bans would be a good start. It's disgruntling and tiring to see some dude with a random troll name or a name rolling off stereotypes that are borderline racist, catch a 90 minute ajail for heinous behavior that even GTA:O players would be disgusted by. If the worry is about losing players, you're going to lose more players seeing that shit and getting disgruntled than you shipping out the garbage. Same goes for "Whole factions" that would have been banned for cheats. Ban them, they're contributing negatively to the server and probably the same people treating the server like a cops and robbers server with a side of subpar illegal roleplay. At some point we should be worrying more about the quality than the quantity and I doubt some dudes who can't take an L are contributing decent roleplay.

NYSPRA v. Bruen states that it's unconstitutional. Regardless of good cause or not, folks are going to make alts, and hand their 2 PFs out like candy every month when that buy period rolls around. It's going to happen regardless because some players on this server are too small brained to actually roleplay and would rather abuse the script/rules to get a gun so they can go DM under the guise of some slight that they're going out of their way to overreact to, then leading to a forum complaint or a 30 minute situation in game over a /report that ends with a ban or other related punishment that probably isn't enough to correct the behavior. The bigger issue is fixing the servers mentality on DM and guns, some folks see this as a cops and robbers server and it shows.

Martha told me they are in fact very deadly rounds. Nothing compared to my Lord and Savior's caliber .45 ACP cause they don't make a .46. Gobbless. On topic, 100% agree with the addition of .22LR caliber weapons. .22LR is a commonly used round in crime. .22LR weapons are cheap and plentiful. On top of that it'd be 100% more realistic to see a majority of players in South Central running around with smaller caliber weapons, .22LR, 9MM, etc, rather than running around like the Taliban after the US left Afghanistan. (Seriously automatics are more common on this server than a war torn Middle Eastern country and it's kinda pathetic.)

I try to knock out Break-Ins as I see them, even if they've been sitting for a while once I log in. The problem with some breakins is you don't always have an alarm in a house, and players want to basically strip a house down to the barebones in searching for items, it can easily push a breakin to 30+ minutes, and I'm not particularly found of using things like "Concerned Callers" to end a breakin quicker. At the same time, some folks lack the urgency that should be felt breaking into a house on a busy street because they know if there's no alarm they can just sit in there for as long as it takes to find a gun or some other valuable.

Man if you have to one tap it to control the recoil of a 5.56 rifle, then you have other issues. What's next, Fudd ruling? "You can only shoot once per two seconds Sonny!"

Currently a technician at a small mom and pops computer store, moving on to Telecommunications next week.

New robbery system feels like a good alternative to breakins when you can't get an available admin. Very nice to see you can do either or as well.
