  1. Thanks. I think it would benefit everyone. Businesses and employees.
  2. Already suggested in a previous topic. https://forum.gta.world/en/index.php?/topic/22338-adding-a-ad-queue-more-info/&do=findComment&comment=182177 As discussed though, an ad queue system would basically make the donator feature for shortened ad timing 100% useless. There is still a global ad timer of 3 minutes, so it will only show one ad every 3 minutes. If you go to place an ad into the queue and 7 other platinum members have put in ad before you, you'll have to wait 21 minutes before your ad shows up on the screen. I don't see how that would be better at all.
  3. Edited main thread from last night to be more explanatory. Discuss!
  4. Short description: Allow access to /bmanager for all service-based businesses, including bars & nightclubs, then add a command for customers to be able to pay the business bank directly while inside the business property. Detailed description: Right now the system of how people pay for goods in most player-owned businesses is kind of backwards. Income from goods sold (alcohol, coffee, flowers, etc) should be sent directly to the business bank, not the employee on shift. The employee should still receive an hourly wage + tips, so here is my suggestion. Add a command, /paybusiness, that will work when a player is inside of a business property. This command will send funds directly from any customer who uses it within the business property to the business bank in /bmanager. If someone is in The Vault, /paybusiness would send money directly into The Vault's business bank. If someone is in Mirror Park Tavern, /paybusiness would send money directly into Mirror Park Tavern's business bank. As a result, this will enable player-owned businesses, that don't already sell items through a script such as 24/7's but through a custom item script or player-to-player (bars / nightclubs) to actually receive income from those goods sold. This will also allow for people to pay tips to the employees separately from the cost of the item, which is honestly how it is in real life. When you sell something, the business receives the money from the sale. This is how it should be instead of employees receiving 100% of the profit from goods sold and the business practically selling items at a complete loss. Through this system all business that sell goods as a service should be enabled to use /startshift for its employees, allowing them to receive the $4000/hr government stipend. If a unique item shop such as a coffee shop is allowed to have its employees earn the stipend for selling coffee & donuts, then other shops such as flower shops, bars, clubs, and any other unique business selling goods should also be allowed this stipend. Commands to add: /paybusiness Items to add: None How would your suggestion improve the server? Now that employees aren't receiving 100% of the cost of goods sold, they will be receiving the $4000/hr stipend + whatever tips they may receive. Sure, this will place an extra burden on the government IC'ly to shell out all this cash, but it will bring employee income throughout the entire server into a very consistent and realistic place across all jobs. This also allows for businesses to actually make money off the items they sell and maybe eventually allow unique businesses to flourish, since their employees won't be taking the money from goods sold anymore. Additional information: Just to give you an example: Joey works at a bar. Joey uses /startshift, which enables him to earn the $4000 per hour stipend. Customer orders a Rum & Coke for $150. Joey instructs the customer to use /paybusiness $150. The business bank now receives $150 for the item. The customer then gives Joey a tip using /pay Joey $50. The business has now received income for the goods sold and Joey receives a tip + the hourly stipend. Businesses and employees both benefit with this system and allows for a much more consistent pay scale throughout jobs offered in the city. Now it is up to the businesses to be unique and creative to attract employees, maybe through bonuses, custom item giveaways, etc. It opens up opportunities for everyone involved.
  5. I’d be willing to bet that a lot of people don’t own / rent a place and unfortunately it’s not something we can report, since we can’t check it as players. I think it should be a rule because unless you’re playing homeless, you should be living somewhere lol.

With the updated fear RP rules, under certain circumstances, could you not technically push for a CK on someone when both sides are in a known war? Value of life is something that’s emphasized. If you don’t show a value of life and completely disregard your safety, that falls under this type of CK, I’m fairly certain. For example, if you both engage in a shootout and one of you dies. You’ve technically suspended a value of life in favor of shooting back. Could this not be grounds for a Fear RP-based CK? Especially in an ongoing gang war.
  7. Changes that aren’t possible with the current Rage client or just changes that aren’t high on the priority list? Lol ?
  8. Here’s an idea. Maybe it can be done with an in-game client sided binding, something like: /bindanimation [Animation Name] [Nickname] (Obviously can’t use existing animation names) Then you just do /anim Nickname
  9. @Westen Did this ever get sent over to you? Did anything come from it? @Woltrazz
  10. I think what people are saying is that an ad queue system would eliminate the ability to post an ad when you want and be at the mercy of the system. For example, I pay for Platinum which allows me to place ads every 3 minutes. Yeah I sometimes have to fight other people to get an ad in, but it’s not usually a problem for long. If there were an ad queue, what if 7 platinum members put their ads in queue before me? I will have to wait 21 minutes for my ad to be placed. It makes that part of the donator status completely useless. I get the concept of the queue, but in execution it won’t work as well.
  11. This, this, this. I feel like this is forgotten by a lot of people. 100% agreed.
  12. Generally, insults against police officers are protected by the 1st Amendment so long as they are not construed as a threat towards the officer. However, they can still easily find a way to arrest you be it through disorderly conduct, obstruction or similar charge depending on the situation. Generally an average to decent lawyer will be able to fight those charges, especially if they were just over petty insults. So long as they can't be perceived as an actual threat towards the officer, there shouldn't be any major charges. Still doesn't change the fact that they can find a way to arrest you over little things, so yes it's very possible to happen. Many times its done just to make your life more difficult for giving them trouble, but this does happen in real life. Happens all the time. This is not a dig towards PD officers in the server, just laying out some general information to raise awareness on a topic being discussed.
  13. Maybe this is something that should be discussed further then with the LEO side of things, constructively of course. I don't know quite know what their internal rules are with regards to the above stated hypothetical population. I feel that they shouldn't be approaching the area as if there are only gang members. A high concentration, sure, but not 100% gang members. This should be taken into account when riding through an area and enforced through faction management and role play quality standards. As you said, there should be some room to breathe and grow, within limits of course. To address your other points though, the slow downs are very common in high crime areas and even in lower crime areas. I used to live in a more affluent neighborhood in southern Florida and a cop followed me into my own neighborhood because it was 4 in the morning, even lighting me up to ask what I was doing driving around the area lol. That happens all too often. I understand your points though and I agree that there should be some discussion about the fact that there aren't a lot of civilians in the area, but PD should be role playing as such and allow people to go on with their lives accordingly. Not everyone who lives in the area should be regarded as a gang member right off the bat. I'm not suggesting PD officers purposefully act naive or clueless, but show some discretion for the sake of building potential RP between legal / illegal RP'ers in the area outside of shootout after shootout. I think this goes in line with a suggested idea for PD officers to have larger knowledge of the gangs that operate in the area (related tattoos presented in RP, areas of operation, turf, etc). IC'ly, gang units & detectives should be having meetings with patrol officers to discuss these things and keep them more informed, on a need to know basis of course. Just enough so that they aren't clueless. IRL, this is sometimes called Roll Call, where all officers on shift meet and someone addresses them with specific subjects to work on, think about, etc. LEO members please chime in here if this is already done. I honestly do not know.
  14. And @Henning As I have zero experience in Illegal RP please help educate me on this, if you could. These areas that are heavy gang territories where police patrol through often, would there not be non-gang related people living in these areas too? Low income areas tend to attract a lot of people, not just gang related people. Wouldn't it be safe to say that they are patrolling so often because that would realistically be an area where a lot of people live, that aren't necessarily just gang related people? PD would certainly know its a heavy gang area through past reports/incidents/etc. and remaining close would be for the protection of those people as well, would it not? Now I'm not saying they should be parking their cars and turning their engines off because that's just dangerous in an area like that. In real life, cops can get shot right in their cars doing that in the wrong area with the wrong people. I knew a Miami PD officer who was shot dead in his car just sitting on the street like that. There should be some proper fear RP in that regard. I would not be against pushing for a CK on a police officer if they decided to just park their car and turn the engine off in such a heavy gang related territory because that's just stupid and shows no value of life. Just trying to think objectively here, so please chime in.
  15. (( The QR code actually works, so you can scan it from your phone camera or QR code scanning app to open up the form right from there, or visit the link https://forms.gle/ukjg4aAtbEQ4FZ1DA ))
  16. What about putting a cap on the amount of alcohol you can buy from a liquor store script (map wide) within a certain time frame, as a business? Realistically, these small town liquor stores would not be able to handle the volume of all these places. These clubs and bars would be using a legitimate supplier. This would force them to seek out additional suppliers through RP while also keeping the income for liquor stores coming in just because of the sheer amount of bars & clubs that would buy the max amount on a daily/weekly basis. This would bring more steady business and meaningful RP to brewers and also benefit the liquor store purchases at the same time. Obviously, this would coincide with an improvement in the current brewing script to enable brewers to make all the available kinds of alcohol.
  17. @eTaylor I get your point about how liquor stores are stocked through brewers selling their products and the stores in return get components and pay from their business bank to the brewers. I think the end result the OP is trying to get to is give more RP opportunities for brewers, rather than just selling to liquor stores. Some people want to RP being a brewer with their own unique product names, making different kinds of alcohol, etc. and then work with existing businesses for the RP aspect in addition to the liquor stores. That's where I think he was going. Some of the suggestion may not benefit everyone, so it could also be tweaked in some ways to benefit a majority. The issue is definitely with the economy as well, as businesses simply don't currently use RP'd breweries very often because of their ease of access to liquor stores. It's very rare to get that kind of RP with a business owner. I think the OP is trying to suggest ways to improve that. It shouldn't simply be a way to grind script cash, which right now, is what the brewery system pretty much is. To each his own, but there are people who want to enjoy being a legitimate brewer for the fun of the job. They should get a fair shake with the system as well.
  18. In my opinion, this is counter active to encouraging business growth outside of the city. I understand that we’re going for a complete player-run market, but forcing them to pay more to get a delivery will just contribute to less and less business overall in Sandy/Paleto. There’s a reason you see delivery vans always going to Shifters Automotive because it’s close to the supply point and easy money going right down the street. They will usually only deliver out as far as Sandy or Paleto if there are no more deliveries in the city and it’s a last resort. Of course they get filled because truckers want money and it’s a lack of options. Businesses out that far already suffer from less business because of their distance from the city, but they are forced to spend more just to get some components because of it as well.
  19. You still get the $200,000 to start. You also get $500 an hour from the system as well after the 40 hours. Also why can’t an illegal RP’er have a regular job like a 24/7 or gas station or even a bartender? People IRL who have criminal records can still find work. It’s not like you’re 100% cutoff from the world, you’re just more limited with a record. Doesn’t keep you from working entirely. Unless you’re an international arms dealer or huge drug cartel, you still should be going on with your life. You're still a regular person. The world doesn’t stop just because you’re into illegal RP lol. If you’re choosing to not work, then that’s your issue not anyone else. We’re digressing. You could also be an illegal brewer with the suggestions the OP is making. Doesn’t stop that at all. It just takes away the ability to skate by with no risk or no RP. You’d have to find connections through RP rather than exploiting an unrealistic script based system for the convenience of making quick money.
  20. 1) You get $200,000 to start. Use it wisely. 2) Work at any number of jobs that hand out the government stipend or money earned through RP. Police, Fire rescue, Sheriffs Department, Mechanic shops, Coffee shops, 24/7, bars, security companies, used car dealers looking for marketing people, take your pick. Just because those options require actual interaction and you don’t like it, doesn’t mean they aren’t available to do. There are plenty of options to earn enough money to get by. The OP wants to turn the brewery system into something for people who actually want to RP being a brewer for the enjoyment of the job rather than a simple grind fest for people who want the easy way out for script money. I can’t see why that would in any way be a bad idea.
  21. For a brewer currently? Yes. This is why the OP has suggested a different way that would enhance the RP and provide additional methods to make money realistically by people who actually want to be a brewer, not just exploit the system to grind script money.
