    Map changes

Yes to both. The mall, whilst nice in concept and original in idea didn't really add much value. The housing projects would actually contribute
  2. @pospanko Hate to break it to you. But the vast, vast majority of security guards work completely unarmed. In the U.S, you might get away with being issued non-lethal assets like cuffs and batons, but tazers are extremely rare. And completely non-existent for european security guards. Furthermore, Rubber bullets in and off themselves aren't really used that much anymore due to unstable ballistics. Really ONLY used by law enforcement in riot-esque situations. Non-lethal "ammunition" unless I'm very much mistaken doesn't exist. Less-lethal ammunition in the form of beanbag and rubber baton rounds do exist, and almost all of it fired from shotgun / riot guns. Not something for regular security guards to have. I can support expandable batons being given to bar/club security. But tazers aren't typically given to security guards. With the exception of /MAYBE/ government contracts at key locations. But in my 8-9 years of working security I've never heard, or seen anyone wear anything less lethal. It's either unarmed, or it's the complete opposite end and armed. (And again, Armed being the exception, rather than the norm.)
  3. Name : European Association for Cancer Research Description of the charity's activities : The EACR is a professional membership association and global community for those working and studying in cancer research, with more than 10,000 members worldwide. Our mission is “The advancement of cancer research for the public benefit: from basic research to prevention, treatment and care.” Why should we choose this charity? Had a lot of friends succumb to cancer in my life. Major breakthroughs have been made in recent years, and I firmly believe funding the science that goes into researching and understanding this disease and it's ability to lead to more efficient / effective treatment. Charity website : https://www.eacr.org/ Charity contact email : [email protected] (EACR Communications and Marketing Manager) Remember that the charity must be based in European Union or have a subsidiary registered in it.
  4. Big facts. The fact certain divisions within LEO factions default back to their pistol when in reality they'd be issued SMG's, purely because the damage is utterly atrocious is both hilarious and depressing. I'll call it deprarious. (50 points if you get the reference.)
  5. I support this suggestion, just for the sake of realism.
  6. Don't know what faction that is, I'd gladly know. Cause mad respect to them.
  7. Yes, park rangers are necessary in my eyes. BUT.. In all honesty, they came about rather abruptly, might just be me as "Lowly player" but I digress. Park rangers should definitely be a thing, but in my eyes not have an entire faction dedicated to do just that. Make them a subsidiary of some kind to the sheriffs office. Park rangers recently went from 100 plus employees to down about 60-ish. Personally? I'd love to see them as part of a greater organization, in my eyes they'd be a perfect sub-division of wat could be State patrol / State Police.
  8. I'd honestly like to have bolingbroke active as a 2nd jail location. You can reserve misdemeanor offenses for the current twin towers correctional. And for felonies, or particularly heinous misdemeanors (Can be discussed) you could then have them incarcerated in bolingbroke (which is an actual state prison) So, Twin towers as a minimum-medium security correctional facility, and bolingbroke acting as a maximum / supermax correctional facility. Make it so that people from twins could end up in boling if they misbehave (intentionally or otherwise) and vice-versa, people from bolingbroke could get a transfer to twin towers for good behavior. Only downside I'd see to this, would be that the current prison population would be split in two, I'm sadly not in the loop how big the current prison pop is, but I'm hoping this suggestion could at the very least be retained or brainstormed on to maybe make it relevant. It's a shame of a nicely made / modelled prison like bolingbroke to just sit there, gathering dust.
  9. It was previously removed due to the fact the tree's clipped into the interiors of houses. Causing the unintended side-effect of turning into a rather nice looking fallout-esque vibe. Fact checking before preaching wouldn't go amiss. 🙂 If you want to continue this enjoyable back & forth, reach out privately, as I'd prefer to keep things on-topic. Danke schön
  10. We've concluded nothing, only you did. Works just fine for me. Works just fine for everyone else I hang with. just like the first time around. Infact, this is the first time it's actually being tested during peak times, so how you already concluded it was "Awful" when it was only active for a few hours at most the last time around, is beyond me. I'm positive the problems lay with the user, and not the map mod. I'm running a GTX 1070 and have 60-70-90 FPS everywhere I go.
  11. No issues to report whatsoever. Drove around the map, never go below 60 FPS, stable at 60-70. I used to use NVE, untill I came to the realization that IT was causing majority of the issues. Stop using NVE. Plenty of people the past 7 pages telling you it's not optimized for Rage, which is finnicky as it is.
  12. Oh you usually don't. But when you deal with 5-10 tony Soprano's each day, for several days a week. it wears people down. Considerably.
  13. Can't do anything or you'll be labeled as a P2W Robocop on an OOC level. There are people that go "Why aren't the police more present, and why don't they do this, or this, or that" And those same people go "Why is the police responding with 10 cars to this, why are they so agressive, Superiority complex much, Your life is pathetic." When you're in an environment where it's "Damned if you do, Damned if you don't," There's not alot you can do. DasFroggy explained it perfectly a few posts up.
  14. End of an era. Had it's ups and it's downs, but helped me through some tough times.
  15. I have to give props, it's a really nice addition. Alot more lush, you get a definite "Californian vibe". Mirror park looks amazing. Went all around the map, no FPS drops at all. Smooth as silk. I wasn't expecting that, was sure there'd be calamity, but no. 2 thumbs up.
  16. Special attention will need to be made to people who, as others already mentioned. Don't want to RP the consequences to their actions, and choose to get PK'd by police or namechange to avoid going to prison/jail.
  17. To be fair. You can't really use the argument "RPQM those that are portraying unrealistic characters" When I've seen the average waiting time for a RPQM report to be over a month. Also fat no to everything even close to managing what type of characters people are using. That's frankly nobody's business besides the person who makes the character. If he's British? Sucks for you. You don't see me walking up to a dude from the UK going "I sure hate how British you are and how you talk." Tweak RPQM in such a way that it runs smoother & able to handle a large influx of reports. Provide alternatives to those that have "Unrealistic characters" and explain to them where they went wrong, some folks literally have no clue and have zero malicious intent. And give no quarter to trolls / people who do it deliberately to fuck with everyone else. But outright banning people for roleplaying a nationality? Yea, I can give you a few notable points in human history where people tried doing that. Didn't work out that well.
  18. Agreed, but people need to be made aware off that. Admins need to educate people about what "normal" behavior is and what's frowned upon. There are quite literally people out there chain-robbing on their BF400's. Kidnapping people who have no money and then either execute them in the county, or leave them in the middle of nowhere to die just out of spite. Lack of social skills or not, at that point you're being a dick just for the purpose of being a dick. And worst of all, they actually think that's normal behavior.
  19. I was even told in PD for the longest time NOT to respond to calls made by concerned citizens as it was MG. So...
  20. Good percentage of people in PD/SD & FD are current or former military, fire, police or EMS IRL. Desensitizing depends on the type of person. While I've never physically shot someone myself, I did draw on people before. And I have seen someone get shot and die. Both as main job and as FF-EMT Volunteer. Those people get desensitized pretty quickly. The problem inherent lies with people not being able to properly escalate or de-escalate. Shooting people cause someone called you a hoe. Shooting people cause someone flipped you off. Shooting people after robbing them / when they run away
  21. We could perhaps lower it down to 300 on next update and see if people who have issues now with flickering / glitching textures experience it at 300 still. Ifnot, then 300 is the magic number.
  22. I've been on LSRP since 2012. Loved every minute of it, but I wasn't blind to the steady decline of quality and players. We had a period where I was really, really invested in LSRP. The mutual respect was there (on an OOC level) and it was an all-round good time to vibe with people. But what I lacked on LSRP was a solid, efficiently working admin team and above all. Transparency between the highest echelons of management and the regular playerbase. Something I'm glad GTA:W learned from. I spent majority of this month away from home, dealing with the floodings that occured on the Belgian-German-Luxembourg border area's. And was only keeping up via forums on the state of the server. The daily updates of Nervous and the staff team made me feel like I was up-to-date on everything that was going on, what was tried, what worked, what didn't, what the next step was, and ultimately, the solution. Mind you, GTA:W has it's own issues and gremlins, while the admin team is generally approachable. They do seem to be far to lenient on people who are deliberately disruptive and outright toxic towards other people. As a pre-dominantly LEO RP'er. I've had issues with people who have nothing better to do than to provoke, perform blatant non-rp actions, superman their way out of 4 people holding them down, T-boning, flipping cars yet continue going like nothing ever happened. I feel admins should be more liberal with handing out temp bans, or harsher punishments than a 30 minute ajail. Cause if you have people who prefer 30 minute ajails over a prison sentence icly, dealing with people in prison then there's a fundamental issue with people's mentality towards consequences for their actions. Also, people robbing others, and those that do not have money end up getting kidnapped out in the county for whatever reason and executed there. Or end up getting shot whilst trying to run. People are alot more trigger happy, and generally the escalation goes from 0-10-100 percent real quick. Killing people seems to be the go-to response for alot of people when it really is unnecessary in most of the cases. In essence however, I'm enjoying GTA:W alot more compared to the later years of LSRP, and the primary reason I feel contributing to that, is a healthy (number-wise) playerbase, respectfull and competent admin team and management providing near-daily updates to the game, in the form of bug fixes, new content and overall keeping the experience fresh.
