  2. It could probably get raised for discussion, but anyone who tabled something like that would be committing political suicide
  3. Saw that the senate was tabling a motion to ban dirt bikes and ATVs from roads in the city, which is crazy. I don’t think something like that would happen IRL.
  4. I agree with it in principle, but I’m not too sure how it could be enforced. I pulled up to a drive-by gone-wrong with two dead bodies by a car, called 911 and sat there for 10 mins before some random guy ran over to loot. It definitely ruined the RP and looting is against the rules, but as for making people roleplay adequately I’m not sure what could be done. 🙂
  5. This is actually a fantastic idea, so long as you can’t just go and spam Y to enter/exit 300 times in 5 minutes, it’d need some form of cool down timer on adding a new entry to prevent that. Really well thought-out!
  6. It’s difficult to do well, with or without a script. Scripts don’t *generally* promote roleplay, back when I used to play Poker nobody really said anything and it’s hard to actually ‘play’ poker like you’re supposed to (Since it’s a social deception game as much as a card game). I see a lot of posts about overhauling the script but it’s mostly ‘good enough’, except when it physically breaks in Rage. I’d prefer roleplay was encouraged more with it, but at the same time that’d make it take so damn long. Tl;dr it’s okay I guess but I don’t use it much.
  7. Honestly I think there needs to be a bit of a clamp down on house hoarders. I was guilty of it back when there were still properties on the map, but now it’s just crazy! My first day back I checked the map and there were only 7 places to grab a property and they were all multi-apartments. Honestly an account limit on properties, rather than just per-character would be fantastic. Something like: max_houses = (total_characters/1.5) Rounded up. So 3 characters you can have 2 properties, if you have 4 characters you get 3 properties and so on. Sorry for derailing your suggestion a little, I agree with the original idea as well!
  8. It’s all subject to personal opinion. So long as you’re not being a huge troll or writing something like “has strong fists and could probably beat up your dad” you’re usually fine. We can see vaguely what a character looks like at a glance, then a vague age and description in the attributes. I don’t think we necessarily need to force everyone to write a long, detailed description. It’d be great in theory if you could see all their details, but it’s unmanageable in practice.

    ArmA 3

Been playing ArmA milsim stuff for years, started in ArmA 2 in like 2010/11. Been in a cracking group since January that runs Warhammer 40k OPs as Imperial Guard alongside the odd halo, half life, mass effect and vanilla games. Vanilla always falls kinda short for me when you’ve been running a heavily modded game for years 😂
  10. Been looking for something like this for ages, always hated having to run to the wiki
  11. This might’ve been said, but players use killing as the ‘easy option’. Once you’ve killed someone (and nobody was there to witness it) all of your problems with them magically disappear. Evidence trails are much harder to peruse in-game than real life and if nobody was actually there, you can call “metagame” on anyone who tries to revenge kill you. It’s relatively poor portrayal for anyone that isn’t a hardened criminal or mentally unwell in some capacity, but it’s a game so how deep can you take things? I jumped into illegal roleplay expecting reasonable escalation, but time and time again I’ve seen harsh words go directly to weapons. It’s just par for the course in a roleplay game based on GTA and it’s all down to personal interpretation or something. 🙂
  12. There’s always gonna be a fine line between coming across as helpful and elitist as OP says. Whether you’re a player sending a PM or an Admin enforcing quality. I don’t think what we’ve got now is amazing, but it’s ‘good enough’. Actively trollish attributes are dealt with and I rarely see any that’re straight up bad. Plenty of ERP descriptions though o.o
