Sounds more like something that should be addressed through different (IC) channels, because that fine applied was not in line with the penal code. The fine for regular possession (under 15g) is 4.5k max, so yeah. Other than that, for obvious reason that's gonna be a negative.

I wanted to make it that and a misdemeanor too, but the powers at be were against that. There's only so much you can do with all the red tape. -

https://forum.gta.world/en/topic/120729-sb-150-strengthened-traffic-regulations-to-ensure-every-travelers-safety-act-of-2024-streets-act/ worked on this in the past two weeks now to give cops more room to crack down on people treating this like DAO. this was intended to be a lot harsher than it is now, but the powers at be wanted it to be watered down (and will most likely want it even more than it currently is), so it's a small step in the right direction
