  1. You probably should've read it because the very first sentence identified I was talking about the restriction on legalization. As in, legalization not being allowed.
  2. As far as I know, the entire reason for the restriction of legalization relates to its “impact” on the illegal market. Personally, I think this argument roots from misperception. In reality, and very easily would naturally happen in game, it is very common for legal states, both medical and recreational, to have their black markets improve in certain aspects after the fact. For example, in perhaps the two most well known and oldest states, California and Colorado, the black markets have not only expanded in quantity, but the quality has improved and prices have gone down. It has also resulted in a lot of foreign-based organizations being pushed out or limited in certain markets, as it has also become more cost feasible and now legal. In California, the past few years have seen a marked rise in actual *illicit* dispensaries, a thing that is only enabled by legalization. These are especially prominent in LA County, where a multi-agency task force exists specifically to combat these dispensaries. Both these illicit dispensaries and legal dispensaries may be connected to illicit markets, knowingly or unknowingly. This is absolutely relevant in the faction context, as, say for an applicable real life example, Armenian Power has multiple members who outright own legal dispensaries, and others who work at them. They are also major players in the states marijuana market. Criminal organizations can be involved in them, there are plenty of cases of legitimate dispensaries buying product off illicit markets, and same vice versa, criminals can go into rec dispensaries and buy weed all they want unless they’re banned, unless it’s a med state but if they have a med card its fine also. This, again, only enabled by legalization, inherently adds multiple new facets of possible roleplay to the entire weed scene, with literally thousands of variations of scenarios possible. Since there is no actual wall built here, the belief that it will impact prices, quantity, or the roleplay opportunity for the black market is a misperception. There would absolutely be a time of adjustment, that’s true since it’d be a big change, but once it’s flowing the benefits far outweigh the negatives once its flowing right. Sticking to legalization itself, what does it offer? Well, a whole new industry in game. Yes, an industry. I note this because it is very important. Currently, there exists absolutely no portrayal of a *full* industry. We have companies that exist within one, and some corporations that have their hands in multiple different ones. Although we do not have a single industry entirely portrayed in game. Legalization of weed in game changes this entirely. For it to happen in game, the entire industry would have to be portrayed. Growers, transporters, specialist security firms, a whole new scene for marketing, budtenders, people who do extractions, packers, trimmers. So on so forth. It opens the opportunity for at least 5 areas that could singularly act as companies or exist within one (dispensaries, storage warehouse, growing facility, transportation, corporate structure). This itself adds over 50 different job opportunities in this new fully portrayed industry. More than exist in portrayal and script jobs already, combined. For a non-industry player, this also opens a very relevant and applicable avenue of roleplay, medical marijuana use. Further, this adds an entire new applicable style of marijuana growing to the game since it would have to be on a level to apply businesses, so instead of the same 4 methods that have been done forever (basement, closet, just randomly around an interior, garage) a new style is added to the mix. I could go on for days but that’s probably the best way to short form it.

There's an entire event process for vehicle based events, the motor sports associations use them all the time to coordinate cross-county events where the departments (including Fire & EMS) offer resources for the venues to be conducted safely both by participants and to the larger community. How about you step up and create the contact you want to exist? Others are capable of doing it, are you?

  7. While I do agree petty reports are very common, I think requiring video and/or SS reference raises the bar to a bit unfeasible of a point. A lot of people do record, yes, there's also a lot who don't or can't for a multitude of reasons. Screenshots are a fickle thing, maybe you don't have all that's needed for a variety of reasons. That scratches out *a lot* of legitimate reports that'd end up being entirely unapproached not due to any actual issues with the report.

  9. Weirdly enough the last update killed my game, never went above 10FPS and couldn't play for a while. W/ new update whatever caused it went away, still get infrequent lag spikes though.

One thing I would note is it's very hard to get around the bulk being *over* done to a relatively unrealistic extent considering their specific view & importantly, the specific scene they are in within that view set. As an example, it's not uncommon for relatively new players to skinhead factions to be *overly* racist, and portray themselves more like political-extremists, rather than what skinhead gang members mostly are (entirely diff scene and category). A large part of this is due to readily available sourcing on thos matters skewing towards specific scenes that are more widely observable, and regardless of anyone's capability to research, it'll take time to learn the complexities of the scene, and then further to be able to apply it IG. The same is true with other types of bigotry. A lot of players are going to be conditioned towards, as referenced in the title, more overt and observable bigotry, not the more complex forms. This is not always a very strong indicator of their beliefs for exactly that reason, even most of the people who are considered pretty "good" at portraying these concepts, started off knowing next to nothing also and had to grow their knowledge to that extent. The sole exception being people who actually had/have experience with any specific scene, or had prior knowledge before joining the server.

    I think if they do add this, there needs to be an insane amount of focused lore-building around both the global and national economy, to actually reason the rates why they are the way they are. If a piece of bread and water now cost 1k+ at a restaurant, there's some serious global inflation happening. This 100% would not make interest rates go up an insanely larger amount compared to what they are now IRL. Just fluffing stuff in without reasoning leaves many plot holes with *what* it is.
  12. Wanting an "Antifa" faction to fight white gangs, again, is starting off on the wrong foot and is insanely unrealistic. The key point to all of this is "IC", if you're creating an Antifa group because you don't like a certain set of characters OOC and want to unrealistically make a group to go fight them, that is entirely OOC driven. From your frame it would be no different than opening a Norteno faction with the sole intent of just attacking Sureno factions. If you want to make a legitimate faction, go for it, but recognize you're not going to be out hunting gang members, at the most you'll end up at the same party or club, beef, and it turns into a fight.
  13. This would only work with an insanely small subset of the playerbase that actively already portrays these problems. Adding an auto /me that says "you feel good" isn't going to change that, it'll just add more for people who already do roleplay it.

  15. While it has happened on some rare occasions, creating an "Anti fascist" gang to combat literal gangs is starting off on the wrong foot entirely. Beefing with one if you come across it is one thing, setting the faction up from that angle enters the same reason it's an issue if you create a Norteno gang just to beef with Sureno gangs. For reasons like such and is equally applicable with other concepts in my opinion, it should still be restricted, ALTHOUGH, I do think IFM should be a bit laxer with allowing restricted concepts. I've been involved in multiple, although at times it becomes disinteresting to have to deal with the bureaucracy behind it. One has been continuously running since 2021 without incident. Definitely possible to do and with the breadth of players there's absolutely some folks who could pull off a good chunk of the concepts that remain restricted.
  16. Providing real examples with this doesn't hit as hard because I can already see at least 20+ incidents a day of cars being stolen, most with absolutely 0 roleplay. Sure, admins can *respond*, at that point scenes are already disrupted and it's wasting admins time from handling things much more impactful. At a maximum it should be locked behind an application similar to other schemes to prevent the overwhelming majority of its existence catering to trolls.
  17. On the first and second part here, LSSD has had plenty of custody dedicated folks. Pretty much all of them have left and favor SADCR, in fact, the old planning team had most of them until they left the server entirely.

  19. I'm only against using it as a fed institution, at least the first prison, for one reason that exists that is the same with all other federal factions. There's an entire new world of information you need to nail down that is much trickier to get a grasp of, especially when the entire federal level of government is something most players have not had interaction with nor even touched on really outside case law. This would require massive additions outside the prison itself.
