  1. Yeah if everything could just be added under one alias and then you just pick the items to take out from the locker, and instead of these drop X items and put A J N X Y Z into the locker one by one they just let you put in whatever under the name you enter, and whatever amount, then it would make things easier Nobody wants to spend ages doing nothing important for the sake of a script that is half assed
  2. Why beat around the bush. It's due to racism. A lot of people who roleplay African-American are doing it to take the piss. They will make ironic characters to be racist and give them asinine names with many syllables n do the silliest things to mock this classification of individuals. I am half African myself, but I don't agree with how these people act with these characters. And while it might not be true, my opinion of why this continues to happen is because people are afraid to punish players who behave this way cos they think it can be seen as them racially judging these players, but in fact it is the players themselves trolling with race and bringing down the credibility of players by race. Again, it's literally racism. Also there's a big bullying stigma I have seen here, and in all GTA RP communities to be honest with you, past and present - where people judge you for doing certain roleplay types due to the reputation they get. Like if you want to just roleplay as a civilian who goes out partying and likes to drive nice cars, an upper-class penthouse-esque lifestyle, they expect it to have more layers than an onion otherwise it's cringey mallrat/statwhore "roleplay". Yet people on the flip side want civis opening businesses and walking around the streets, doing civi things. Another example is the Davis gas station that half the server goes to when they're bored because they actually like it there. kinda odd now that you think about it huh

  6. OK. At some point guys, we have to factor in the point that this is a video game. We all like portraying the things we enjoy, whether that's a police officer working out of south central, or a SWAT operator stationed in East LS, or a station canine handler working out of Paleto Bay Sheriff's Station. And we understand that if you do these things, there are standards. Frankly, I've learnt that factions hold themselves to very high standards, especially those irreplaceable; such as SD, PD, etc, versus the uncommon (yet all so common) standard we experience in-game along the way (evident in the reason behind this thread [r.e. DM = corpse overload]). You have to understand that we are staring at screens for hours, text RP is very slow but the time passes rather quickly because we're locked in. As human beings, we have lives beyond the game. We need to eat, take care of family and friends, go to work, school, university, and do all sorts of things. Regarding the issue of multiple bodies being found in one day in the game, it's not a realistic expectation for LEA factions to act as clean-up crews. While we do our best to investigate, sometimes there are no leads or scripts to support it, and players often respawn at the hospital, making it less impactful. Considering this, how can we expect our characters to realistically interact with all of these bodies? --> "Oh no, someone died... anyway." OR --> [Insert emotional/realistic outlook to witnessing death before you, in full vision] In conclusion, let's remember that this is ultimately a video game, and we should have fun with it. We choose the roles we want to play, but speaking to each other as if we're meant to be some sort of government evidence clean-up crew with all the gear and not a scintilla of emotional depth is just ridiculous. We should strike a good balance between immersive RP and the understanding that it's all for fun and entertainment. To start with, the dude who wrote about CK'd corpses and how we should have them left in-game until they're sorted out by another player, seems like he's on the right track in what we all want. I'm sure we can all appreciate and respect this as a step one to our problem solver. In truth, I only ask that the devs consider this option, as it'd make everyone happier! 🙂
  7. I am in fact going to add yet another real take. > I don’t know if it’s an american thing but people here don’t really drive up in fours to rob people. It’s usually one person looking for a lucky opportunity. This is the silliest thing I've read. You assume the rest of the world works the same as it does in your town, country, whatever. We're roleplaying in America, for the betterment of 80% of their population, people drive to do everything, even if it's to go down the street to get some snacks from a gas station. The roads are wider, and bigger. Most people get their first car at 16, learning to drive over there isn't something you wait to do into your 20s like you might in European countries. Someone with a car would not avoid using it if they could have that advantage, in real life. And especially in America?? Hell yes, they would take advantage of such an already normal thing (driving to do almost everything). This is unnecessary shade to 18th Street Vinewood Gangsters. The faction has a lot of lore and roleplays the set as being in a gentrified neighborhood, due to the compression of GTA V's map. If you have any issues with the faction then go to their leaders with constructive feedback or don't make any silly comments like that at all. @Peezy As for your last sentence... It's not so deep that (for example) I'm basing my entire livelihood on this one guy that one time that got robbed using a vehicle to leave quickly. Hardly understand how this is still a topic, the only reason it's like this is because noobs were patrolling wealthy areas (homeowners at mirror park) in torrences with /maskname robbing them for an easy score. Alas... The only way we can get rid of the rule is by just getting rid of people like that at the core, if they do that stuff all the time, they're probably not who we want here. And without a shadow of a doubt I can guarantee you that they do NOT represent anyone who is in the illegal community and are usually a band of friends that discord each other like they're the IPD (Illegal Police Department).
  8. You can block PMs with donator I think. But it should be a normal feature. Sometimes I want to stay IC and ignore trolls but it gets frustrating when they PM me amidst a scene on my police character or when I'm doing some passive roleplay and don't want to text non-sense to people on the interim. As for /b, it's a necessary evil. Cos if you toggle /b, then you will need a command like /importantb where you /b something in a bright color to flag its importance, but a) it'll get abused and b) it's annoying and unnecessary extra steps for the same thing. At best, maybe a cooldown on /b chatter? So people are more enticed to keep it to /pms and /f, things we could toggle? So just pms. For everyone.
  9. Tyler Yang and his family. And Chen. But mainly, Tyler Yang.
  10. This couldn't be further from the truth. An illegal faction, OOCly distributing guns to throwaway characters? I know you don't roleplay an illegal character, or else you'd understand the many reasons as to why this is a silly statement to have made. The only relevance this has to the thread is that you mention the term mugging. But to entertain it briefly; when a legal player imposes restrictions on the illegal community over some nooby actions of unaffiliated John Doe /maskname low RPQ characters, of course it will receive backlash. You don't see the illegal community trying to tell you how often you can do something as a deputy, paramedic, etc, do you? No, you don't. And if they did, they'd be told to stay in their lane. Because the difference is, the illegal doesn't impose on the legal side, just the rules that attack its own (illegal RPer) community. But the legal always imposes, and ridicules the illegal side, for any slight suggestion no matter how much it gets echo-chambered as an obvious problem. It always circles back to "how it was" with those few exceptions, there's no progressive change despite what I already suggested in my earlier posts. Silly inputs like this, to a serious thread about an imbalance, are part of the reason as to why these threads get nuked. But because of the obvious cycle it falls into, and despite the lack of open-minded opinions, as well as the lack of interest in the powers that be, to change or edit rule 10, I give up responding past this point. So yeah, now I'm done. Au revoir, cíao bella, all that. 👋
