    Drunk Driving

I think this could be fixed with the effects of drugs + alcohol lasting for a lot longer than they currently do. Namely the visual effects of being drunk/high. Then of course you'd have the people relogging just to get rid of the effect which is another issue.

    The Woods Family

Meet Buck. Born on April 17th, 1992 to Woody and Sue Woods. Buck Houston Woods is the oldest among his siblings and cousins. And with the death of his father Woody at the hands of diabetes, and the disappearance of his mother Sue, Buck's put himself into the role of caregiver for his younger family members. Being quick to frustrate makes that role extremely difficult for him, and he's constantly chasing his siblings and cousins around, trying to ensure they're not getting into any crazy trouble that they're prone to be in. Besides that, Buck's an all American guy, he loves trucks and dirt bikes, comfort food, and good old Patriot Beer. Not the brightest bulb of the bunch, he has a heart of gold and goes to great lengths to take care of his family. When it comes to work, Buck'll do any odd job that needs doing, a handy-man of sorts and a Jack of All Trades. He has a part time job at the Sandy Shore's Gas Station, but hardly ever works there. He much prefers collecting scrap from around Blaine County in one of his scrap-trucks and selling it at the recycling plant for easy money. He doesn't much like the city, and is quick to dismiss cityfolk as odd or crazy, he's not a big fan of the government neither. A country bumpkin to the utmost degree, Buck's a real American for certain.

    The Woods Family

The Woods Family Family history, and a little legend... The Woods have lived in Sandy Shores for generations, tracing all the way back to George Woods, who allegedly settled in Blaine County after a string of bank robberies and heists across the Eastern half of the United States. George hid his ill-gotten goods somewhere in Blaine County, however died before he could tell either of his sons, Houston or Earl, where the treasure was buried. The mystery of it consumed the brothers, though Earl far more than Houston. Earl went mad and never had the time for a wife or anything of the sort. He died diving into the Alamo sea, convinced his father's treasure was there. Houston on the other hand went on to have four boys, and the current day Woods family's all descended from him. The Woods are known as rambunctious trailer trash, getting into loud domestic arguments, and fights. Their fleet of junk vehicles, old trucks, bikes, and ATVs usually litter in front of their multiple trailers along Smoke Tree road. Crazy personalities, family drama, and rumors of that long lost treasure, the Woods are living the American dream. Meet (some) of the Family: (This thread will follow the story and development of the Woods family.)
  6. To be honest it shouldn't take rules to know bestiality's wrong and disgusting.
  7. Yes portraying bestiality is absolutely disgusting and they probably should have been banned. If it's going to be an issue, there shouldn't even be under-aged characters on the server, since clearly there's a lot of people that are defending sexual acts being roleplayed among them.
  8. The fact that this even has to be discussed is crazy lmao. No one should RP any sexual act with an individual under the age of consent (which in the US ranges between 16-18 depending on the state) or even as a character being underage. Do underage people have sex IRL? Yes of course but this ISN'T real life. And you shouldn't need to roleplay that "for development", again just feeds into some sick perversion. I don't think anyone in this community should be defending any type of sex act between, with, or involving underaged characters. It's really just weird and sets a strange precedent that would just benefit any pedophiles who would want to do that, as well as possibly getting the server into legal trouble and a bad reputation.
  9. You can just use a fake email. All of my chars' facebrowsers are @email.com or whatever.
  10. The best character story out here. I bestow upon thee your roleplay masters degree.
  11. I don't know what you're expecting out of criminal roleplay or factions, they're not animals committing crime after crime with no other things going on in their lives. They're portraying real criminals with real world problems. It's not all just gang fighting and crime, there's external factors that attribute to the characters, like a pregnancy scare, or a party over at a friend's house. I'd be more concerned if those things weren't part of people's roleplay, no one goes through life without adversities from family, or having a fun time with friends. It'd just make each character into a stone called DM machine or something.

    Mixing OOC on FB

I guess it's pretty unclear on what can be taken IC from the real world and what can't. We're roleplaying in the modern day, and as far as I can tell there's no real set thing from the admin team on whether or not we're roleplaying in the GTA universe or the real world. People reference real life events, places, et cetera when they most likely don't exist in Rockstar's universe because their games are set in a parody of the US. Personally I don't mind real life events being referenced IC through Facebrowser, people talk about esports, video games, politics whatever else. I think it gives characters something to talk about and reference, instead of having to just make up who our president is, for example.
  13. Definitely agree that oftentimes the crime ridden areas of South Los Santos don't feel alive, more interaction in these illegal factions as family/communities goes a long way to make the roleplay so much more than just selling drugs, guns, and fighting over them. It also makes those things, when they do happen, have a much more pungent effect on everyone involved in that community. Also agree that the escalation of violence is a bit dramatic, simple arguments turn into insults, which usually turns into a gunfight or whatever. Even if situations like that occur IRL, it's pretty poor roleplay, and there should definitely be more fear RP from everyone, as well as more less lethal means of settling issues.
  14. It is a messy area, really. When I first joined PKs seemed so bizarre to me and they still do to an extent, although I understand the reason for them. So people don't have to lose all their character progress over a simple robbery gone wrong, whatever. Though I do think PKs in general do hamper roleplay, there is no continuation, revenge, et cetera. Of course if you get PKed, and your friends witness it, they can obviously get revenge for the act that their (undisclosed random friend) died. But I think it's pretty bullshit that a lot of criminals committing petty crimes like mugging someone resort to PK's just as a way to stop that person from retaliating. Do people kill others over petty shit in the real world? Sure they do, but it's something that shouldn't be so common. Just as the person being robbed/whatever roleplays fear, so too should the person committing the crime, why would they want a simple robbery jumped up to a murder charge? Because they know they can get away with it for the most part. Alternatively CKs can be way more common, at least if you're partaking in violence. Perhaps that would make people more cautious about getting into altercations because no one would just put their life on the line over simple beefs. Perhaps get rid of PKs altogether, and a kill is a kill. A little harsh, but it shouldn't be something done over a petty altercation, unless tensions arose and things got heated. Just my two cents.
  15. Tempted now to make an older character but don't really have any ideas beyond that.
  16. For some people they like to RP what they'd like to be, or are lacking in their real lives. The server sort of lends itself to young adults with near infinite funds driving fancy cars and going to clubs constantly, which there's nothing inherently wrong with roleplaying but there is a big divide between players choosing to be older adults. I'd guess most people that are on this server are in their late teens or early twenties, so naturally they'll feel more connected to a character of the same age. Most of the older characters I've seen are pretty much exaggerations of "boomers", either in game or on Facebrowser. And yeah it's funny, but there is a lack of serious middle aged characters. Just my two cents on the issue, I know I'm guilty of playing young characters too.
