Some arguments I've heard against it are that people would just get their friends to 'spam likes' or whatever the hell. It's literally just internet points and they don't matter. Please remove the limit, it's pointless and annoying to try and pick and choose whose posts to support just because you only have 3 a day.

My ideal GTA:6 world would be set in Vice City during the 80s,. The vibe of Vice City is probably one of my favorites, the 80s aesthetic and music would make for a pretty fun roleplay experience imo. (The mafia in it's heyday, Cuban immigration, cocaine being the biggest drug out there, etc etc). It'd be great imo. I feel that GTA:W being set in the 'modern day' really hinders a lot of roleplay, and I think that's the reason there's a lot of self insert characters. Roleplaying in 2020 America sort of caters to people just trying to play the best versions of themselves, whereas if roleplay were set in a different time, we'd see less of that (especially without the enormous amount of cringe that happens on Facebrowser). The police wouldn't have as many technological advantages over criminals, making crime a little harder to enforce, which would be beneficial for criminal rp. Just my take 🙂

A big aspect of the server is businesses, and it is one of the predominant ways of making money on the server. (Of course making money isn't the purpose of the server, roleplay is) But to take businesses and sort of hide them away behind a paywall to be able to be ran efficiently is definitely a little shady imo. Donations are, well, as the name suggests, donations. It shouldn't be a necessity to open a business. I know saying "hire someone to post ads for you who does have gold/plat" is a common defense of the system, but really the problem is that it shouldn't even have to come to that. Especially if someone's running a small one-man business, i.e. an electronics shop, or small cafe, or food truck or whatever, no one should have to rely on someone who is a donator.

I guess the main issue people have with the wide spread availability of weed in game is that it's one of the few drugs with a viable market in game. The harder drugs that would realistically have a large pool of customers just doesn't compete with how many characters partake in using marijuana. Realistically weed wouldn't even be illegal in San Andreas, as many US States including California have already legalized it, but alas in game it makes sense to keep it illegal to fuel the illegal side of things. Not that there's too much money to be made from selling drugs on the server but it would still impact a lot of the ways an illegal faction can actually make some money out of crime.

It's definitely more than just an IC issue regarding hard drugs. Not many people want their characters to be dependent on such hard drugs, and that's fair enough. These drugs consume people's lives and are a lot less 'casual' than dropping a tab of acid every now and then or smoking weed, which people are usually fine with roleplaying their character's doing. Obviously in real life there's a LARGE population of addicts that are readily available to sell drugs to, Doesn't really correlate well in game where people just drive their sports cars to bar after bar. I think there needs to be a change in the addiction system (alcohol should also be an addictive substance that effects your character, as well as nicotine). Right now it just doesn't really do anything if you're not consuming MASSIVE amounts of drugs. Point is, people buy drugs to sell drugs, it's not exactly common to find users for things outside of coke/weed/lsd/shrooms, but the market circulates constantly with little end use. I'm sure there's a lot of stash houses with a lot of drugs just left sitting, since there's no real market for the hard drugs, ultimately making them useless for people to deal in. As for the weed problem? If they implemented some sort of potency script where weed directly bought from suppliers was the MOST potent, then player grown weed can only reach a certain "potency", it might help out the problem but I doubt it. The issue will only get worse until weed will be sold at sub 100 bucks a gram on the street. Seeds should have never been something that could be sold so easily imo.

Definitely agree, people should be creative and although they can be influenced by real life organizations for their factions, they should still seek to create something original. As for established factions already? Maybe they can be rebranded ICly, cutting off ties with their "parent" organizations and going their own way? That way the faction doesn't end up dead in the water but can maintain their characters and journey thus far.
