  1. Congrats @cactus @SidePleb @secretamerican @NickyW Real wise Guys Now.
  2. To me, the 200k starting bonus is perfectly fine, and there's really no reason to remove that. I think it'd just create more people grinding jobs that don't fit their characters. The 200k is obviously designed to help get you started in properly roleplaying your character, getting a car and a home/whatever so you can get to playing. When I first joined the server this was a breath of fresh air, having come from communities where you HAD to grind, or AFK-paycheck farm to get what you wanted, this was great. I personally hate grinding, and couldn't imagine spending hours a day fishing or truck driving, or anything else with minimal RP effort. Of course people want to cut these jobs and encourage players to join player-ran businesses, and that's great but I think trying to make it harder to earn money will only lead into an increase in robotic characters that'll do anything to gain more. At the end of the day GTAW's economy doesn't matter, it's a sandbox (imo) and all the money I've accrued across my characters isn't always IC, but there to help supplement my roleplay and encourage it for others. Some of my characters are dirt poor, and others are rich through IC means. I honestly wouldn't have fun being FORCED to roleplay being dirt poor every time I made a new character. It's less of a server-side, admin issue, and more of a playerbase one. If you're here to see a number go up instead of making an interesting character to develop/have fun roleplaying, you're probably on the server for all the wrong reasons. There's nothing wrong with people wanting to roleplay a rich character, what becomes a problem is how they roleplay that wealth (20 year old girl with 4 businesses and 10 cars) but that's a RPQM issue.
  3. This community can barely handle virtual dogs I don't trust anybody to roleplay a minor not to get into some stupid shit. Just ban all minors imo.
  4. Congrats to everyone. Well deserved all around. 🙂
  5. Less immigrants from Australia, Britian, or Europe in general. Every time I come across a character that's from those backgrounds they're most usually self inserts, which is weird. More Americans in America, please. 🙂

  7. nothing more cringe than the obviously horny boys roleplaying lesbians talking about squirting and other disgusting shit as if that's what people actually talk about. facebrowser is a cool concept and fun to troll around with and shit but i think it's a big waste of money for the server to support when it just facilitates self insert characters and mad hornyposting
  8. Hi that was actually me who got this CK and the situation you talk about is pretty wrong. I didn't leave the server for a few months, I was only less active on that specific character for about a month. (I still played but had other things going on and work), so I was less active. In that time yeah his gf cheated on him with a dude who was dating my char's personal friend. Basically, there was a lot more to it than you think, and the reasoning was more than enough to get accepted by management. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

  10. Agreed, I think staff should be a lot more lenient on factions being "realistic" and way less lenient on the actual RP quality they provide. Hopefully that changes so some unique concepts can actually be accepted and provide a different type of RP than what we're used to.
  11. Think more original ideas would benefit the server instead of making the same gangs or criminal groups that exist just because they can be proven to function within L.A. (Obviously within the realm of reason so no British chav gangs or what have you). Think people in general should be a lot more creative with their faction ideas, a multi-ethnic gang's a cool idea imo, and more original concepts instead of having incessant arguments about whats realistic or not to have on the server because XYZ gang doesnt operate in Southern LA.
  12. Everyone loves to go on about realism and how accurate we must be to Southern California but the time isn't even accurate for it. For some reason San Andreas exists somewhere off the coast of France or something 🙂 Would be cool if the server was actually set to PST so NA players can actually experience the sun every now and then. But EU players would also be able to experience this, idk why people think that just because the server's time is set to NA time that they can't open their clubs or bars at weird times, NA players have to do that now lol. I'd open my cafe at like 3 am server time.

  14. People already give relevance to 'meaningless' suggestions by commenting '+1' 'Support this.' or the opposite on the post without really adding much of anything to the topic or conversation BECAUSE they have an arbitrary limit on their likes. But even then it's pretty much a non-issue, despite likes and posts in support, any truly impossible/outlandish suggestion gets archived by staff anyway. People on this forum are pretty creative when it comes to their faction thread posts, character threads, IC articles, etc. There's just so much content that's being posted in a day that would warrant the most basic of validation by offering them a 'like', however with only 3 likes a day why should I have to pick and choose who gets the internet points? Am I supposed to make some word document list with posts I enjoyed but couldn't 'like' and end up with an insane back-log, rationing out my likes from day to day? It's just pointless and really, I see no reason to revere likes as if they're something precious.
