  1. As others said, you should be able to rent out your own space in the mall. That would make it much more lively. Especially if people opened up spaces in malls and all opened at the same time? Would be crazy. Not to hurt anyone's feelings but the interior is also quite bland, but I doubt a shiny one would change anything.
  2. the endless loop of being a criminal? oh man, you don't even know the half of it I am all for the removal of secret warnings, the revamping of the administrative punishment process, previous punishment appeals, expiring admin records, etc etc, but at the end of the day none of this agenda will ever matter to those who can make anything happen because they've never fallen into the loop! It is just another sad tale of the atypical roleplayer.
  3. It’s turning into LS-RP and I don’t like it. Escort ads bring nothing of contribution to this server, in fact it probably gets rid of RP because instead of joining an escort service or prostitution ring you just throw ads up.
  4. I do not like this suggestion.
  5. While I don't know if I support it or if I'm against it, I would definitely say 10% a week is a more reasonable figure. Even that might be too high, but it's more reasonable than 20% a week.
  6. Care to provide some proof for your claim? I don't believe this is exactly how this works. The server does not constantly check if your computer has different versions of the file that it has. This sort of check is likely client-side, if it exists. It would not make sense to have a server-side function that is checking every player's files constantly. Furthermore, I don't believe RAGEMP even allows for the access of files by the server to the client, the most it lets you do is download files and alter the .storage file. Any sort of check would likely be based on the clientside via information provided by the server much earlier in the process, probably when you join. Most importantly though, if such a process somehow exists that does use server resources, it is likely extremely negligible in resource usage due to the sheer amount of players GTAW reaches. It would not change the process whatsoever for different scripts to be checked, so this script would not take up any more usage than another feature would. The server resources argument does not apply here.
  7. Incorrect, it uses client resources. It would only take up resources of your own computer if you used it. I support this suggestion. If you don't want to use it, don't use it. Some people would get a lot from it, especially single monitor users.
  8. I roleplay a character with nicotine addition, yes! I think if we could add disposable vapes, etc, to the script, that would be very cool.
  9. A lot of you don't have an admin record and don't understand the complications that occur with one. I'd like to point out, before I even mention reasons as to why real bans should be able to be appealed, why can't we remove duplicate entries? For example: These two entries are the same ban. Now the player has two bans instead of one. These two are the same ajails, now the player has 4 entries in their admin record instead of two. There is no reason why a player should have duplicate entries on their admin record. This leads to a false impression for staff members who quickly look over the record, or go by the number of entries. Too often have I heard the phrase X number of ajails or X number of bans, when this number might be less if the record is actually read. Next up is situations that were misunderstood. For example, I myself was banned for a desync ram that occurred back in the GT-MP days, and I was promptly unbanned upon showing Shadowplay footage of the event. Clearly, this is a misunderstanding, right? So, what's the argument against removing that entry from an admin record? Another example is the kicks section. Sometimes AFK kicks will end up in your kicks section, now it looks like you're being kicked for rule breaking, when really you were just AFK. The above three cases are ones that there are no valid arguments against. Duplicate entries, misunderstood situations, and AFK kicks, should all be removable from one's admin record. Other than that, no, there are definitely cases where the administrator is wrong. I think that you should be able to appeal admin-jails, bans, and kicks, even if the punishment has already passed, and these should be removed from your record if they are proven right. I won't go make this my personal thread, but you can trust me when I say that administrative ruling standards have changed throughout the years on this server, and it hurts those who have played the server longer than others, since they were previously punished for actions that are either lightly punished or permissible in today's GTA:W.
  10. Shiny stuff is overrated. I understand new players like it, so I see why it's developed, but there's a reason why I still use the Nokia 3310 and the old clothing system. It works and I don't need to use my mouse. I think the fact that SAMP habits are still supported on this server is a large reason why SAMP players can feel comfortable more so on this server than on any other.
  11. Ah yes, a topic I am well versed in. I definitely think you should be able to get old entries removed. Sometimes you get screwed over because you get banned for the same offense a couple times over, so it shows up as more bans when it's really one. I also wish you could have incorrect entries removed. I have been banned for situations that were deemed to be desync/misunderstandings in the past. I definitely agree with appealing them in general, if it's been a year or two, why should that stay on your record? However, this topic useless because most will just look at you as a menace and say you deserve the long record, not knowing the implications of having a previously long record.
  12. there's actually a lot of countries that dont do DST, but tbh i think the majority of playesr probably come from a country that observes DST, so shifting time will definitely help. id rather always be x hours ahead rather than having to calculate it (hmm...is it spring? ok 5 hour!)
  13. definitely. I think pulling players from the existing pool is what works. There might be 700 people in game, but well over 700 people are registered and able to play at that time - they just don't feel the need to. If a video pops up on their feed or they see something about a cool faction, script feature, etc, they might feel compelled to play.
  14. While I'm not entirely opposed to the advertisement idea, this is a very good point to consider, especially considering what happened to GTAW back in summer 2018ish when we had a lot more players but the roleplay was all wonky. It's back on track but still, older players will know what I mean.
  15. I used to have 3000 names but eventually settled on Shareef in Discord (perhaps on 5rp cant remember) and then I made shareef2 due to legal issues. is your name related to Fenrir somehow or is this a coincidence
  16. Shutting down a business due to multiple infractions is not the same as strolling into a business and shouting "Out! Out I say!" There's a legal process on both ends for such penalties to occur. We never got to just shut business down, at least not when I was a member, there was a whole process including evidence gathering and requests, etc, and then at the end it's all up to whether law enforcement assists or not.
  17. dude what are these posts
