  2. It does feel that way. Back in 2020 we used to have more interesting stuff to do as an LEO. Domestic disputes, people even rp'd noise complaints. Now it's just

    1) robbery

    2) body in the road

    3) brawl

    4) shootout at the club

    5) accident

    There's no variety.

But that's where the discourse comes from. PD expect players to roleplay to the highest standards at all time and will pursue any skipped intersections etc whilst they do not do the same. They will also forum report for any minor inconvience, not roleplaying a crash or PIT etc. Whilst they do not do the same, especially during a chase.

I fully agree with the standards of driving on the server being piss-poor but that also includes PD, i've witnessed many PD members completely skipping intersections with no lights on.

I obviously won't hit you with the classic 'report them', instead, it's a broad issue. I don't think anyone, besides FD who has very specific rules, follows the traffic laws to a T. It's boring, and most of the time it falls back to a 'if it's not too extreme, it doesn't matter'. The overall mentality has to change, but no-one seems actually willing to do so.

Half PD don't drive normally either.

Obviously. But if you drive 'normally' at least for a little bit, no-one's going to look at you. It's really easy to stay under the radar and not catch the attention of anyone. Multiple illegal roleplayers have already said so.

Yeah no. This is a game, that saying doesn't work here and in my opinion it's a fucking stupid mindset to have.

I don't know if you've ever been out in the real world, but I know a bunch of 20 year olds with "multiple felonies" who are free to this day. Not to mention that's not even my point. I don't know where any of your comment came from lmfao.

I don't know about you, but I hate the idea of helicopters. Get rid of them or remove the stupid cameras that the cops have been abusing since the dawn of times. In real life their cameras are trash. Make them trash or remove them entirely.

And stacking charges is retarded. I'm not catching a life sentence and losing my 5 month character because Officer Piggie McBacon decided it'd be funny to stick me with 30 charges because my criminal character... was a criminal.... and had weapons in his home.... In America. Personally when this happens to me, I'll be reporting the offending officer in every way possible. Player report, an IA report, an RPQM report, even an admin report if the player's an admin.

you sound pretty upset over a game, my guy. not to mention the fresh forum account. are you part of the 'i don't drive normally cuz its a game' demographic and then shoot when you get pulled over?

cop will probably get blasted before he can even reach for his radio

And then Compton will become swarmed with no less than hundreds of officers.

    Meanwhile in GTAW:

Idk why we're arguing when we're all just supposed to have fun. Let someone in a gang try to join any LEO faction and get a taste of the the other side, take his feedback and go from there instead of getting 11 pages of back and forth.

    Comment:

Police Officer Jorge Nava is a remarkable individual who has overcome difficult circumstances and has dedicated his life to serving and protecting the people of Los Santos. Born in the grimey streets of South Los Santos, Officer Nava grew up in an area that was infested with gangs and violence. However, he refused to let his environment dictate his future and worked hard to make something of himself.

Officer Nava's background and experiences give him a unique perspective on the challenges that police officers face in Los Santos. He understands the difficulties of policing in a community that is plagued by gang violence and other criminal activities. He knows firsthand the impact that crime can have on families and communities, and he is committed to making Los Santos a safer place for everyone.

As a police officer, Officer Nava has demonstrated his commitment to serving the community. He has worked diligently to build relationships with community members, especially those who are most vulnerable to crime. He has also taken an active role in community outreach programs, such as mentoring at-risk youth and organizing neighborhood watch programs.

Officer Nava's dedication and commitment to the community make him an ideal candidate for the position of union president of the Los Santos Police Protective League. As union president, he would have the opportunity to advocate for the rights and needs of police officers, while also working to improve relations between the police department and the community.

One of the most important responsibilities of the union president is to negotiate collective bargaining agreements that ensure fair compensation and working conditions for police officers. Officer Nava has a deep understanding of the issues that affect police officers, and he would be an effective negotiator on behalf of the union.

In addition to negotiating on behalf of police officers, the union president also has a role in shaping public opinion and policy regarding law enforcement. Officer Nava's background and experiences make him uniquely qualified to engage with the community and other stakeholders to address issues related to policing and public safety.

Finally, Officer Nava's personal story serves as an inspiration to others who may be facing similar challenges. His journey from the streets of South Los Santos to becoming a police officer is a testament to the power of hard work and determination. As union president, he would have the opportunity to be a role model and mentor to other officers and community members.

In conclusion, Officer Jorge Nava is an exceptional candidate for the position of union president of the Los Santos Police Protective League. His background, dedication to the community, and commitment to the rights of police officers make him an ideal candidate for the role. If elected, Officer Nava would be a powerful voice for the police officers of Los Santos and a champion for the safety and well-being of the community.

Earlier that day I had witnessed Clara Alvarez who I know to be an OSS detective arresting my associate Adam Farrell in broad daylight, with no backup. I drove past and saw her face, her vehicle and appearance and could pin her to the random arrest of my friend who was doing seemingly nothing wrong at the time. Because of this, his arrest was communicated and I was unable to get a response from Farrell after sending numerous SMS text messages, however his phone was still turned on and the messages were going through, prompting me with the assumption that he was under investigation as part of an operation against our group.

Never been an OSS detective. Just a Paleto station detective. Adam Farrell was arrested because someone called 9-1-1 on him for waving his gun around. That's a natural response. His phones weren't touched. (he was also out of TTCF by the time the shooting took place. he got really light charges.)

Under the impression that OSS may be making a move against us, as they have done several times in the past with "Operation Scalping" which lead to arrest warrants on our members, tensions were high and some of us were afraid that we may be incriminated by the text messages on Adam's phone. This WAS NOT taken lightly and caused intense paranoia between some of our members, some whomst have been arrested in the past and that paranoia was only accelerated (personally) by my character's constant methamphetamine usage, making him more impulsive and reckless in his decision making.

Never took part in that. My character has never been seen on OSS operations. Ever.

Here's where I disagree with you. I was going 30mph on my bike at a constant speed, not once in the slightest did I act "strange" - additionally, my bike has no plates if you had read the /vexamine, it is unregistered and shouldn't have been profiled for it's insurance status. I want to give you the benefit of the doubt but I can't shake the fact that you just MG'd my name and decided to pull me over for whatever reason. I was texting on my phone which likely wasn't even visible to you and you said that I was "reaching", which I believe is just plain escalation on your end. I thoroughly believed that if I had continued with the stop you'd have arrested me upon learning my identity, again at the time under the presumption that I had a warrant out for my arrest because of my character's association and his text messages with Farrell. And out of all people, Clara Alvarez, the person who arrested Farrell and the person who I believe likely had possession of his phone was the one pulling me over.

You were stopped in the middle of Procopio. Lights were off, you had no helmet. Also for a motorbike to be roleplayed as having no plates, you need an admin to actually unregister it for you. Otherwise, you can't roleplay it like that. I didn't MG your name, I'm not part in any active Paleto Boyz investigations besides the one on Mitch(and a domestic disturbance) that's effectively a dead case for something that took place in February. My character doesn't even hang out in Paleto as often.
As for your texting, the /ame's above your head were painfully visible, and with you being on a motorbike, wouldn't you deduce that it would be actually obvious? aka, hands off the handlebars to text? We even had a minor ooc confrontation about it in local OOC, which admins can check. Another issue was that no-one roleplayed a single thing. You could've came up to my window with a gun pointed. I would've RP'd fear for my character's life. She's not superman and certainly doesn't have a 'magical' protection due to her badge. Hell. I drove off to give you guys a chance to flee before I actually stopped to open fire. Instead of letting this be a warning for my character, you chose to escalate it to murder, effectively stopping anything I could've roleplayed from the incident.

    19 minutes ago, Jacksquare said:

If you cared that much about the roleplay you would've replied to my DM, where I offered to completely re-rp the scene out of courtesy to you since you didn't find it enjoyable.

I was advised to let the report run its course.

  9. Date of incident: 22/JUL/2022

    Rules broken: 4, Deathmatching

    Your ingame name: Clara Alvarez

Names of witnesses (if applicable): Corey Mathers and the ones that participated in the ambush. (Jesse Myers & Unknown mask as additional shooters)

Explanation of the incident (500 word limit): Corey Mathers was idling in the middle of the road on his dirtbike, with his lights off, without a helmet, and was overall strange. So, my character approached, ran the ALPR, and saw that the bike wasn't insured. She proceeds with a stop, and spots Corey texting, she megaphones to stop reaching but does nothing else. Within a few moments 2 or 3 more dirtbikes roll up on the scene and they all open fire. Corey's justification in PM's was that he had just killed 3 people last night and he was high off meth. Something we hear far too often. Looking for admin input on this one, because it's getting tiring to get done in like this.

Addendum: The report is more about the escalation of this situation. There wasn't a single line besides /me is texting from the reported party. I'm not mad about the L, but more at the lack of roleplay. You caught my character by surprise, and at first I drove off and stopped later on. Instead of taking the opportunity to drive off, why did you chase the kill? Corey was already fully visible on dashcam, and killing a detective in the middle of the street, right across from a bank surely isn't a smart move. Those are my two cents, mainly.

Evidence: N/A, shadowplay was off by mistake. Pretty sure the others involved have a video if need be.
