Not sure if this is the best way to do it, but I think there's issues with LEO factions and teamspeak. I was in SD until very recently for several months, my character working in the Detective Division for almost the entirety of my time within that faction. For IRL reasons (I'm not getting in to specifics on a public forum), I received no mic permissions. My character was invovled in leadership positions in OSS - the gangs unit - for a few months, leading and taking part in a few notable investigations. I'd developed my character over the course of months for progression. After that time I'd asked SD leadership if it'd be possible for me to become a Detective Sergeant, who on paper wasn't tasked with monitoring pursuits. They put me on hold for 3 weeks (21 days), to tell me that I could not progress in the faction due to me not being able to monitor TS channels for when people were 'rowdy' or monitor a pursuit. To me it became way less of an issue about the position, when they recognized that they acknowledged my efforts and contributions yet still held me for 21 days and evidently did not make any attempt to accomodate me. I believe that TeamSpeak has gotten way too entrenched in LEO factions to the extent that your in-character progression is also measured on your skill to use a VOIP app on a text based RP server.
