It’s important to understand the implications of what is suggested here. By placing all trans characters behind an application, we might inadvertently marginalize an already marginalized group. Trans characters, like all characters, should be free to exist in our narratives without undue barriers. I personally know many trans players who played trans characters, some even before they publicly identified as trans, or even before they found it out about themselves in real life. This was an important part of their journey and self-expression. Imposing limitations on such representations could negatively impact those for whom these characters hold personal significance. I also think it's a slippery slope to police a character's genitals like that, tomorrow they'll be coming for the tomboys, after that all mechanics, most street racers, Albanians, Serbians, Armenians, all underage characters, anybody with "quan", "quavious", honestly any "uan", behind an app.

Afaik before the whole new /ad system got deployed, you couldn't post the same ad twice in a row even if you had a lowered cooldown. Not sure if that is still there, but if it is, this is a hint to not do the same ad over and over again, but maybe advertise different stuff. Such as "Selling an eagle in the desert." or "I've lost my car key, need to find a lockpick set.". Just because you can, doesn't mean you should make /ad a pain in the ass to browse.

This is my stance on it, for every trans character there's 5 minors, Serbian, Albanian, Armenian, and all sorts of characters that deserve the same treatment. Imagine if you needed approval to roleplay a minor, trans character, Albanian, Serbian, and Armenian. No, if you see one that has a terrible portrayal - report the character.

The CPU you listed has an integrated GPU. It needs to be launched on the right GPU.

Looks like your discrete GPU spiked and then went to 0%, I suspect that the game is launched on your integrated GPU.

Use something like speccy to check your temps, your CPU can go up to 105C. Open up task manager and check if your GPU is actually utilized when you lag, if utilization is minimal you might be using the integrated graphics on your CPU. How much memory does your GPU have? Is it using all of it?

Why use a bridge at all? It's an eyesore, and it should rather be substituted with air travel and boats. Air fare for quick travel, boat (ferry mod that is already in the server), for mass transit.

These sort of threads usually devolve into an FLD hate thread, even though we're just the organization executing other people's regulations be it IC or OOC. The first post is me just putting all the relevant information into the thread, without trying to make any sort of political statement.

I never stated such a thing, proposed such a thing, nor did I ever show any intention that I want people to stop conceal carrying. It's not my issue. I'm not pushing the current CCW regulations hard in these threads, I'm just stating that these regulations are here for the aforementioned reasons for a reason. And that FLD is not to blame for the continued existence of Good Cause as a thing. The U.S. Constitution isn't voided. It's just not someone's constitutional right under the law of the server, since the specific SCOTUS decision is voided. Most in the LSPD do not have access to fully automatic firearms. Even if you're authorized a patrol rifle, you can only use it in semi. If my memory serves me right, only METRO personnel such as SWAT and K9 have access to fully automatic weapons.

I am calm, and I am not trying to insult anybody. But if anyone feels insulted by that specific statement, that is their problem. Now, as stated in my first post in this thread, it's clear that it's not someone's (constitutional) right to get a CCW, as the staff team has decided against it. Transporting a firearm has a very specific definition under the SHAFT Act. It's just a bit harder, but with a bit of smooth talkin' you can probably conceal carry without getting in trouble ever, even if you get into a shooting. I actually wished more people roleplayed outside of the city, I used to do it when it was active and it was some of the most enjoyable roleplay I've had in the server. I'm just surprised that not a lot of people use the leniency granted by the specific provisions under the SHAFT Act as a reason to go out and open carry outside the city. That is one thing that I wish the community has a lot more agency with deciding if they want recreational weed legalized.

Good Cause does not prevent you from getting a gun despite not being a criminal, because there's no Good Cause needed to obtain a PF license. All you need is a PF license to purchase guns, a CCW where a Good Cause is mandated is only there so you can conceal carry firearms. I'm surprised that no one is roleplaying their modern cowboy fantasy outside of Los Santos, because you can just open carry a gun.

Here is where Biscuit said that it wasn't Nervous who mandated the implementation of the Good Cause system, but LFM. And reminds us why it was implemented in the first place. Here's a list of cases which are suspended/void, including New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen, which is a landmark SCOTUS decision which deemed gun restrictive states such as New York and California's good cause unconstitutional. Announcement that New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen has been voided by LFM: Good Cause not getting revoked, as decided by Shanks. An old FLD announcement stating that Good Cause has been cleared through Nervous and SAGOV.

As discussed before, if we gave the answers people would cheat. It's an open book exam, grab the laws on another tab while you do the exam. If you believe that, raise an issue. In your specific situation, wait for FLC and FLS to respond. You're free to think that, but you never know what will happen. The best you can do is engage in good faith, be constructive, and hope for the best.

I think it's actually pretty good, only one decisive answer. If you think otherwise you can always argue that, a human can override the system or change questions and answers. A manual review will result in a much slower process, and will likely result in the same problem you're having.

I don't agree with your last sentence, but when talking about obtaining legal PF guns, yeah it's super easy. Just take a few pics, one of your char's face, once /stats, once your admin record. Fill in a form, and you'll have an easy Pf license. After that go to one of the many gun stores and buy your 2 guns / 200 ammo monthly limit.

There's much more that has to be done other than good cause and the exam, and the exam is fully automated already. That being said, I've already discussed further automation with the developer of the panel before, I don't think it's imposske but it's certainly hard. All we can do right now is just try to make it easier, which imho an automated form is easier than the dreaded bbcode I used to fill out to obtain my licenses, and faster.

Right, and as @eTaylor and myself have said. Being FLD in this community is a volunteer position, and the issues you're encountering do not warrant multiple individuals to drop their IRL responsibilities.
