  1. You do realize you've just declared yourself to be interactable with, even if you're having technical issues yeah? Imagine if you're getting chased by PD or SD and your game crashes, you log back in but due to game engine restrictions your game freezes for 2 seconds. Hoewever before you can actually do something, a cop tases you. How would you feel about that?
  2. I feel sorry for whoever interacts with you. Most of the community, especially experienced players give others some leeway when encountering immersion-breaking issues such as major lag, disconnects, crashes, spawning in/out of interiors (including the lag associated), and any other issues caused by technical defficiencies with the game or the game engine.
  3. Courtesy of 30 seconds should be given to players who just spawned into the world, since you spawn with weapons unequipped and outside of your domicile by design. It's also the reason why the airport is a no-crime zone, due to the amount of new and vulnerable players. I'd even argue that robbing someone when they just spawn in is a common courtesy issue. Now do you have an issue giving someone some common courtesy? Pack it up, let's lock the thread. He said it's not true and that must be right, even without evidence or arguments. Yeah but some opinions you probably shouldn't say without backing it up with proof. People like to take a loss if the opposing party is good at roleplaying. I'm included in this. What people don't like is robbery roleplay that is mediocre at best, and more often than not lazy/bad roleplay. It's a matter of fact, if a lot of the robbery RP wasn't so terrible, there wouldn't be so many restrictions. The rules are there to curb bad robbery RP, of which is plenty.
  4. As someone who roleplays a cop and who is assigned to the Vinewood hills as a beat, I try to be in the area as much as possible and show presence, but I can't be there as much as an IRL cop could be. I don't think there's enough human resources available to ICly police the community back to a sane level of crime, even if you include CCTV and regular security patrols.

    FLD is broken.

Individuals have suggested fully ingame applications before, including meeting with FLD personnel, and I thought you meant this until you've clarified yourself.
  6. /report hey these guys are robbing me, do they have permissions? **radiosilence** (( John Doe: do you have perms to rob here? )) (( Mask_84583: cut /b stop stalling ))
  7. Thank you for the quick update @Biscuit, I honestly thought this was a dead project but it's good to hear that it's about to be released.

The FLD site is back online.

Lies, you've been in the FLD Discord since Nov 20, 2022.
  10. You're correct about that. The Rockford Plaza is a restricted crime zone, or a no crime zone. I forgot which at this moment. Either way, no one goes there, even though the mapping is pretty nice, it isn't too laggy, and there's plenty of services inside. Onw thing I've noticed that even though the Rockford Plaza is supposed to be open 24/7, stock does occasionally run out, and some doors get locked for seeminly no reason. I wish there was a little bit more love for the Rockford Plaza, I try to go there whenever I see a business open inside of it.
  11. A few days ago my roleplay on one specific scene got interrupted four times due to the other side breaking rules throughout the engagement. Afaik 4 different admins attended each of the 4 sits, and they were given "final warning" multiple times. So instead of wasting my precious spare time on admin sits with individuals who can't play without breaking a rule, I decided to just quit GTAW for a few days and play Baldur's Gate 3, Phasmophobia, and Wargame: Red Dragon. Also there should be an archive/long term LOA feature for characters, so you can easily liquidate assets such as apartments and their contents, to prevent getting burnt out by being coerced to roleplay on a character that you don't want to play or have the time to play on.
  12. Since everyone is saying that it's an IC issue, let's deregulate police patrols. Allow police helicopters to fly over specific areas if the areas are hit by a crime wave. Allow cops to wear bodycams. Allow cops to proactively police in high crime areas. Nevermind that guards and LEO roleplayers are at a high demand, and are a finite resource.
  13. With a server as complex as GTA:World, I'd actually like to see a list of admin rulings precedent including a synopsis of what is prohibited and why, with a link to the source which states that it is prohibited. Something like what the courts already has.
  14. Oh no, PD is reporting too many rulebreakers! In reality, PD only reports rulebreakers when they're disrupting the flow of roleplay excessively. Bump your car into something and keep on driving? You'll likely not get reported for that, but you will if you drive your car at 100 mph and crash into something, or flip your car and keep on going. How about we stop trying to shame PD for reporting rulebreakers, we expect people to not break rules in the first place.
  15. I once tried to find a low-income house in a specific area, but it's hard. A lot of the places you find are either middle-upper class or upperclass. I've actually had an issue with one of the RPQM's I've filed getting leaked by someone in the staff team, I actually made a report about it. RPQM leaks do happen, and it has actually had a chilling effect as I've not filed RPQM reports because of it.
  16. Meh, escalation of violence is important. It also depends if you're pissing off the local gangbangers, or ones far away.
  17. Just hire some rooftop Koreans, it's on-brand for Los Angeles/Los Santos. It's the best way to fight some Davis warlord's PMC child army.
  18. OP posts a thread on a nuanced subject and offers a solution. People criticize OP's solution and provide their feedback. OP doesn't take well to the valid criticism and deflects. Classic GTAW forum experience, looks like we're back at square one. There's a reason the current robbery rules exist.
  19. I've found the Aussie (or Kiwi). On-topic: My opinion on the matter is that criminals, if they commit crimes, should be very much eligible for CK's if killed. This is because criminal roleplay disturbs peace and quiet, and regular roleplay. And it forces someone who might not want to be a victim, to be victimized anyways. And generally, depending on the situation, cops aren't allowed to ignore felonies without corruption permissions and a vast majority of cops don't have corruption permissions. Committing a crime is something you choose to do, being a victim isn't. And in my opinion, unless a cop has been acting extremely negligently, the cop shouldn't get CK'd. If that were the case, there'd always be a heavy influx of new faces in primary LEO factions and you wouldn't be able to make a good long term story.
  20. Players will minmax every meta available to them. First it was a Sanchez, yesterday it was the Torrence, and today it's a Buffalo SX. Once you lower sentences for females, Male (A) Pod will be a ghost town and all the inmates will be females.

I've got no clue what my avatar has anything to do with that situation, since I've had it for actual years now. But if that thought brings you comfort, who am I to withhold you that.
