you keep talking like there’s a fucking consensus among the entire server that this is good. There isn’t. Y’all are the only ones who want this shit. The overwhelming majority of illegal RPers do not.

y’all basically said if you don’t stop getting robbed there’s gonna be no legal RPers. I don’t understand how the fuck you can get robbed multiple times. You see a car full of 4 masked ppl spinning and you stand outside. Get in a fucking car and drive off or go inside, it’s pretty simple.

then illegal rpers will cry "legal rpers always mg seeing MASKED and run away and its ruining the criminal rp". like christ maybe robbery rp should be banned all together if its the only thing that gets complained about in this server.

True, but due to the crime rate in LS, an unarmed guard is pretty much almost useless.

I think the issue is other security guards acting like cops and giving the others a bad reputation.

Sometimes even the people who's property you're protecting think you have authority on a public sidewalk.

yeah, it's unfortunate, and a huge factor i cannot really add on to anything to this discussion. in addition some guards i've hired do act like their cops themselves, but what i seen on gtaw is almost on par to how the military does base security, and not like cops at times lol.

You're absolutely right, it has been by far the most fun roleplay I ever had. The different character you get to experience and the stupidity of some characters makes it unique. And I wish that armed guards were not a necessity, we all know (those veterans) that last year around this time, we didn't even have the tasers and baton options yet. I'm really glad that this has been added, however, the controversial behavior of who gets it and who doesn't, is what bothers me. Overall, I don't like the ''open-carry'' requirements at all, both for in-private property and out-of-private property neither and it is more a psychological deterrent rather than actual use.

yeah, it's cool to see the additions of batons and tasers, but i can't comment on the distribution of them in-game, since i have little experience. it's still kinda annoying though seeing the community on a OOC note get upset over this, but venue security (not my company, shits EXPENSIVE) do have these tools. i agree even on a irl note, i love my guns, i own four, but i would never open carry or allow my guys to carry since company image, and just because i know the balls of locals are here, but again ingame and irl experiences can't be compared.

though one thing i will mention is, even in game, guards should have at least basic first aid training. myself personally is trained for EMR. not saying they need to be like FD, but it adds something for guards for roleplay. i dont know if any companies have done this, but i definitely think it could add more roleplay.

  3. as a current head supervisor of security (in-house) in a company irl, most security work on gtaw is hilarious.  despite my experience, i cannot comment on how to improve security roplay, since my real life experience the work is far more boring than gtaw makes it (as with all other jobs on world, to be fair), and the fact i have to be confidential since it's my current job. what i can add is; while i understand the need for armed guards, it should be noted most entertainment security in venues (night clubs, casinos) mostly do not carry firearms. it's a nightmare for insurance and creates a hostile image the business may not want to promote. it should be noted that these venues are loaded with cameras and those who actively watch cameras as their job.

Alright, well thanks for taking the time to come onto my thread to directly insult me, instead of giving me some advice for how to many a character that's boring for me to play, more engaging.

it's not an insult when it's subjectively a fact, especially if you say you're a shitposter. if you're unable to be creative and just are annoying or "shitposter" you don't really have a place to roleplay. you're a liability to yourself and others who wish to roleplay with you since they'll be carrying you to roleplay, to have fun. if you cannot have fun with everything given to you then why play?

  5. cameras are amazing nowadays, especially in the business sector, i wouldn't doubt in the police market it'd be even more impressive. i'm able to see what someone is doing 1000s of feet away even in the night time while at work, however the conditions have to just be right. in gtaw the conditions are always great. it doesn't help that all windows in gta v arent affected by sun glare or generally reflections. also you cant even hear the helicopters while they operate in-game, but damn they're noisy as fuck in real life.

as for bail, i don't know anything about that. i just think if you get out on bail and fail the conditions or not show up you deserve to get your finances fucked with lol. bail is a double edged sword and should be considered wisely, and not just as an option to get out of jail rp. like if you fuck up and get caught with stuff that goes against your bail conditions thats all on you. you should be knowledgeable of your conditions because they're not a shock at all. like im sorry, you're hanging out with known associates and got caught doing illegal stuff while on bail, of course you're gonna get screwed.

  6. i dont think the community for drag queen/trans stuff here isn't big enough to warrant a entire developer to make this work. perhaps if this is to be worked on seriously you could save presets of your character's face somewhere instead, and the ability to apply it when you want to (i.e at a clothing store). that way you have access to your character's face preset and can apply it to any gender. could be handy for returning characters to a new or the same character slot.

also... you guys who are saying this idea is bad because ERP bad and trans/drag queen stuff is evil... you literally RP murderers and drug dealers. pipe down a bit. be constructive at least.
