Los Santos County District Attorney's Office Official Press Release Gang Member Prosecuted For a Violent Jailhouse Killing FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE LOS SANTOS, SAN ANDREAS The man convicted of drug trafficking is facing new charges from inside the county jail after he allegedly stabbed another inmate more than 10 times as a result of an internal Mexican Mafia power struggle. "Once again, we have a violent jailhouse killing on our hands and we will seek maximum punishment for the culprit. Our correctional facilities are not places of violence, they are places of reform. This is outside the purview of the District Attorney's Office, but a better recommendation for JSA. Once again, this is moreso an issue for JSA and the Courts, there really isn't a whole lot of influence I have on this process beyond advocating for change or formal procedural rules. As you point out and as we both know summary judgments are not allowed in criminal trials in real life. Only something like 12% of federal trials are not decided by a jury, so the way we portray this system is inaccurate to the real thing in many regards.

This should spice legal roleplay up a bit as it comes to lying under oath. My motives as the leader of the DA’s office is to find inventive ways to create more interesting Court roleplay and also make sure prosecutions progress at a quick rate.

Los Santos County District Attorney's Office Official Press Release The Establishment of The Los Santos County Brady List FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE LOS SANTOS, SAN ANDREAS Yesterday morning saw the announcement of the Brady List and a notification for all Law Enforcement Agencies was sent, the District Attorney's Office headed by District Attorney Terentiy Shwetz and with assistance of Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Li established the first publicly available Brady List within the County of Los Santos. The list will include law enforcement officers in Los Santos County who have lied under oath, committed perjury, committed other crimes such as those against public trust, or otherwise have lied during official processes such as civil hearings. This list will allow attorneys to note when the testimony of an officer on the list is potentially disingenuous or dishonest based on their inclusion. The following categories exist for inclusion: False Statements: Any officer supplying false statements to Judicial or Executive entities, such as false statements on an arrest report, false testimony to the District Attorney's Office, or false statements to the department's Internal Affairs in Criminal or Administrative proceedings. Obstruction of Judicial Entities: Any officer that intentionally obstructs the proceedings of a judicial entity through the use of coercion, violence, or by abusing their position as a peace officer, delays any court proceedings or investigation being conducted by a judicial entity. Withholding Evidence: Any officer that willfully withholds exonerating or convicting evidence shall also be put on the Brady List under the Brady Violation: Obstruction of Judicial Entities. Gang Activity: Any officer that was proven to be a part of or an associate of a violent street gang or an established group of police officers acting in the benefit of the group rather than the public and neglecting to uphold their duties as peace officers. Criminal Conviction: Any officer convicted of a violent misdemeanor charge or a felony of any type. "I took office with the promise that the public would see more accountability from our law enforcement agencies and more control when law enforcement officers violate their oaths. Brady lists exist in many other jurisdictions in San Andreas, and with this we now have the opportunity to promote honesty and integrity from all peace officers. This will have a net benefit for the citizens of Los Santos County, and it goes a long way to fulfilling the mandate provided to us by the federal government to ensure all of our agencies are operating at their best." I own my comments and alerted management about them in case they wanted to take action. The player I made comments to was removed for flaming members of the Sheriff's Department and making disrespectful comments about the faction, and where he was tagging me he had quoted my post to gloat that I was resigning. I don't find what I said to be acceptable or fair and regretted saying what I said in hindsight, but if someone wants to report me for the comments I take full accountability for them. I'm not going to hide behind words here, but this is not even remotely the worst thing that was said in that Discord and it's unfair to only quote my comments when numerous insults were thrown from both sides. IFM is present in that Discord and can attest to this. Mine were particularly heated considering I thought my long-term hobby of five years was now dead, but like I said, I take full accountability for them. If an administrator wants to investigate it, I'll give further context. I shall also note for the record the usage of the derogatory slur towards the LGBT community - I am part of the LGBT community, but that's no excuse for me to be using that word maliciously because it makes people uncomfortable and as I said I immediately regretted the use shortly afterwards. Also, this wasn't behavior that occurred after removal from power. I was never forced out of any position. I voluntarily (briefly) resigned but rescinded that resignation and my position in the faction is as an advisor. I hold no leadership roles.

I was playing all the Mass Effect 3 demos and trying to find some way to stop the war between the Xenarians and my race. I found a human in one of the demos and he revealed the conspiracy to me! This is when I found the notorious leader of the county Sheriff's Department, Joseph Cline, and his online girlfriend Joanne Roderick. They also revealed some secrets to me that no other journalist had been able to uncover before! Mass Effect 3 Director Casey Hudson states that Mr. Joseph Cline was at least partially responsible for the suicide of a young girl in 2012. She had been working with Joseph Cline in the past, and one of the things she confessed to Joseph Cline was the fact that she had been downloading and sharing child pornography. This wasn't in the final game but it was for a long time seen as the most damning piece of evidence that Joseph Cline was involved in something heinous. It was also a scandal that other journalists, including myself, tried to report on but was taken off of E3 press release simply because of the glaring scandal. This entire scandal has blown up in people's faces since Mr. Joseph Cline was promoted to his current position as Sheriff of Los Santos County! He's been all over the news since he took office. I plan on filing a complaint with the FBI about Joseph Cline and Joanne Roderick for the crimes they've committed, and I'll have some harsh words for BioWare too! Are your officers being murdered taking CKs? If they are, why? I don't CK my character every time I get shot by gangbangers, and gangbangers shouldn't be forced to CK every time they die to cops. We make sacrifices to realism sometimes so we can have fun. Criminals have been forced to make PLENTY of sacrifices for realism - for instance, not being able to rob people based on geography and use getaway vehicles. It's a fugazi - you make sacrifices to realism sometimes for the sake of fun of other players. If we were to mirror realistic crime rates on the server, it would only be realistic for ONE player out of 800 on the server at any one time to be a serious career criminal. There would be two players forced to roleplay delinquent juveniles. The other 796 players would be civilians. There'd also be maybe 10 cops. This server has made MANY sacrifices to realism that force criminals to adapt to the legal side. This is maybe the first time in a long time that LEO roleplayers have been forced through a rule change to adapt to something illegal roleplayers have been requesting for a long time. We're not here to police the server, we're here to provide quality police roleplay. That's an age old adage from a different game, but it still equally applies here. It's once again a mindset problem. If the crime rate is high, then you can surveil a neighborhood during something like a tactical alert with specific articulatable reasons. I can guarantee you that in real life if police helicopters were sitting on top of a low-income neighborhood in Los Angeles and basically stalking the locals they would be forced to stop by the Courts due to the fourth amendment. How so? It's preventing one side from winning too often. Criminals don't get to spawn in with a gun and body armor and go chase their enemies. They need to scrounge and earn everything they have. Having helicopters is a nuclear weapon. Do you think anyone on the illegal side was involved in discussions to restrict muggings based on geography? Do you think illegal roleplayers agreed to that change? Do you like that change? Because with your logic that same rule should be gone, too.

Who cares if pilots quit? They've got the wrong mindsets if they're angry that a rule is restricting them from stalking players who should be able to roleplay without the worry of some helicopter being overhead. What argument are you making? Anyone who's angry about the current rulechange isn't really interested in hearing the perspectives of criminal roleplayers, which by itself is indicate of play to win attitudes. The LAPD doesn't surveil gang neighborhoods with helicopters 24/7 - helicopters make noise in real life!
