Instead of using a VPN, I'd recommend you use Cloudflare WARP. https://1.1.1.1/

It's not a VPN. It secures your connection and has a very minimal impact on your ping and internet speed.

    Hope it works for you.

You're a life saver bro, it works. Had this problem for literally half a year. Big thanks to anyone that helped/tried to help.

@Kenth you can archive this, thanks again.

  2. I stopped trying to fix this issue for a while hoping it would fix itself just as it appeared out of nowhere, but no luck. I no longer get "Lost connection...

reconnecting" though but I get: "Welcome to GTA World" then nothing else.

I found a "temporary fix" though, when I use a VPN, it works. Yes I used a VPN when the problem first started but nothing changed at the time. I'm currently using a free VPN service, it works but it's very slow and the game is unplayable. I don't intend on paying for a VPN service, so I was hoping you guys could help me find a solution? Since the issue is resolved when I use a VPN then I'm sure the root causes are narrowed down. Would mean a lot if someone helps.

Hi there, I was suffering from a similar issue a few months ago and can definitely share frustration with randomly losing connection to the server mid-RP. From the looks of a previous screenshot you've shared, it appears you are on an ethernet connection. A few questions for you:

    1. What is your upload speed?
    2. What is your download speed?
    3. What is your ping?
    4. Are you using a Wi-Fi extender or are you going directly from your modem to your PC? If the former, what is the model name of the device extender you are using?
    5. Do you suffer this issue in other games, or just with RageMP?
    6. Are you able to join the server before losing connection or do you go into a reconnecting state before getting to the login screen?

I realize that my net is poor, but I ran RageMP/GTA World before on a worse internet connection.

    3. Around 40-60 when I click connect.

    4. Directly from modem to PC.

    5. RageMP only.

    6. I go into a reconnecting state before getting to the login screen.

Hey @aladdin this might be nothing but try and change your network category from public to private, as the firewall might be blocking GTA's ports and protocols even with UPnP because the profile is set to public network.

Ça n'a rien changé, merci quand même.

A friend of mine was experiencing the same issue. They flushed DNS and rebooted their router and it seemed to work! I also recommend trying with a VPN as there might be something up with your ISP.

I will try this and get back to you!

See the Riot Games anti-cheat? Can you disable that, right click and Exit for me as well as any other program such as Steam that isn't required for the RAGE launch?

Shut as much as you can down, then try and open RAGE.

I disabled and exited every app besides Epic Games and yet, no changes.

Alright, and you're sure you've not got any installed software that may have come with the PC; including any firewalls or antivirus programs?

    Razer software or products?
    Overwolf? Streamdeck software, etc.

Better yet, could you take a screenshot of your bottom right bar, including any icons of programs open in the backround.

    Please double check for me.

I'm quite sure because the game used to work a while back, I didn't change anything. It just stopped working.

    Thanks, one more:

    ping play.gta.world

Also, you're using Steam or Epic Games?

Try and delete RAGE; ensuring you delete *all* files.

Let me know what happens with the ping once more and then delete files and attempt to install RAGE again.

We've gotta do a ton of trial and error runs but one of these will work in the future 🙂

Pinging play.gta.world [141.94.0.157] with 32 bytes of data:

    Response from 141.94.0.157: bytes=32 time=55ms TTL=49

    Response from 141.94.0.157: bytes=32 time=54ms TTL=49

    Response from 141.94.0.157: bytes=32 time=54ms TTL=49

    Reply from 141.94.0.157: bytes=32 time=56ms TTL=49

    Ping statistics for 141.94.0.157:     Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate loop duration in milliseconds:     Minimum = 54ms, Maximum = 56ms, Average = 54ms

    I'm using Epic Games.

I already deleted every RAGE file about an hour ago and re-installed it, no changes.

    Heya! Some information that's gonna be needed;

    • Antivirus software you're using.
    • Any firewall programs you might have preventing connections out.

    Open CMD up and type

    ping gta.world

Please let me know the outcome and if the packets show as connecting.

This is the outcome I got:

Ping gta.world [188.114.96.7] with 32 bytes of data:
    Reply from 188.114.96.7: bytes=32 time=51ms TTL=54

I don't use any antivirus software, just regular Windows Security. I also don't use any firewall programs, this is what I currently have on:
