  3. Maybe we need a new donation package that costs $160 to pay for it
  4. I'm pretty sure this is bait, but I'll bite,. You got caught "trespassing" and you decided to escalate the situation further by evading the police, in which the person you associate yourself with escalated it further and attempted to murder LEOs. Had you just talked to the officers and perhaps got terry frisked and they found the gun? That's a 4 hour jail time maximum. You and your friend escalated the situation to get yourself 20 days because you thought you could get away. Clearly not. LEOs have some of the biggest faction which naturally attracts a lot of players who tend to end up as staff. That's just the laws of probability. There are still plenty of illegal roleplayers who end up as staff. I'm not really sure what advantages you think LEOs have? Every time we do an arrest, traffic infraction or even a parking ticket and if we mess up in any part, you can easily get those charges/citations dropped. We are held to a high standard, you just never see it because well, you just "log off" when things don't go your way. "What do they even add to an rp server" "They're overpowered" Sorry to break it to you but cops IRL are way more overpowered than they are IG, in fact we're limited on what we can do in the interest of fairness to illegal roleplayers. This is supposed to be a realistic server, illegal roleplayers cry and complain that the server isn't heavy RP or realistic enough, but when met with actual realism they complain that it's "not fair" and LEOs are "overpowered". - "nooby /do questions" We're forced to do this now because of terrible interactions with criminal roleplayers who will find any reason to complain so we have be 100% sure and give people a chance to respond, we're under a ton of scrutiny constantly, so we have to be sure the suspect does not want to resist, despite not using /me to do. - Regarding NPC interactions, lol. Just lol. All of this is out of our control, so please. There's a reason bail was introduced. What are these simple solutions, though?

    State of Drugs

I brought up both of those examples in my original post. Players who wish to roleplay this don't need an incentive to take their character story that way, civilian rpers who wish to take drugs don't need an incentive. Those who want to will roleplay it, and have access to do so, and people who dont want to rp it just won't

    State of Drugs

Drugs are illicit substance. They have no need in a legal or civilian setting. They don't need to be promoted to civilian roleplayers, unless they want to head down that path. I know ULSA has a drug ring for pills n weed and you can sell pills in to club go-ers pretty easy. They have no use/place for legal roleplayers. Legal roleplayers who want to RP a "dark path" have that setting available to them already.

    State of Drugs

ppl only take drugs when they're about to go on shootouts for that 150 hp boost. guns are scarce af, less shootouts, less drugs being consumed if we pump more guns into the server, more drugs get consumed and job done
  11. I don't think you understand how little detectives really have to work with. Sure we have casings and blood, but other than that? We don't have CCTV (for the most part), we don't have skid marks on the ground to track the direction of travel, we don't have little old ladies seeing something they shouldn't have on their way to bingo, we don't have hair fragments or other forms of DNA and we barely have any criminals willing to snitch. Being a detective is a difficult time consuming job. There is no hours to put into an investigation when you've exhausted everything.
  12. Restrict it to Supervisors+ (Or Command+) Similar to how we operate bugs. People complaining that "this is overpowered" . Just lol LEOs are not here to win, but that doesn't mean we need to constantly shoot ourselves in the feet. You know what is overpowered? The fact that two factions can have a 10 v 10 gun fight in the middle of Vinewood and there's somehow zero CCTV footage of what happened.

    Politics RP

educate urself on US politics first
  14. we're all ugly fucks irl you think we wanna rp that too? 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
  15. Having been in both, LSSD Traffic operates completetly differently from LSPD Traffic. This suggestion wouldn't work out without more changes (which are unlikely to happen) to the division
  16. thanks for educating and correcting me /srs
  17. lol. - no one has suggested "removing sapr" get that misconception out. this thread is merely suggesting that sapr be renamed sahp because quite frankly, they literally operate as sahp nowadays anyway. HAPA has been dead for what... over a year now? the literal thing that give them purpose doesn't exist. most of the time they're just running radar on the highways. like the change makes ZERO difference, other than giving the already "stale" faction more opportunities
  18. dont skip bail then the whole point of bail is to say "i promise to go to court" if u go to court, u get that money back. otherwise u dont
  19. I can assure you, there is around 10 people who actively patrol(ed) the county. Won't happen. Lol. No one will join SD if that was the case. IIRC, Less than 5 people in the recruiment drive picked PBS as their station. The other 15 went to Davis - Yes, although SAPR already operate as SAHP anyway. It doesn't make a difference. Although, I don't see this happening at all
  20. Talked about something like this last year in LSSD Parole. It's not feasible because in all honesty, all the current illegal roleplayers in Jail aren't going to start dry snitching to be on a TV show and all the (M)s aren't going to suddenly stop being a gang member and join ULSA. It's cool, but the characters you need don't exist and you won't be able to change minds. (There is no problem with this)
  21. some ppl are really vexed over this lmaoooo
  22. 4K per hour up to 3 hours a day (IIRC) That's 12k A day max 12x5=60 60k a week if you do /startshift LEOs earn 45-50k on average per week.
  23. I call it boring because crime wasn't as fleshed out as it was in the later half of the century. Cold war tensions were still high, there was still segregation, the civil rights act wasn't passed, cells phones didn't exist. It just wasn't a fun time to exist and boring to roleplay without these important events that shaped the future. I completely disagree that people "don't know" how to roleplay realistically in a modern day. Aren't all these people self inserts? Aren't they real people? LA is full of insufferable trust fund kids, people are portraying it just fine. The main issue is the illegal roleplays who watch one ganglands episode and try and emulate it.
