  1. I have to agree, icly nothing was done to deal with the rise of gang violence and activity in the area so the end result is a rise in criminal actions in said area. Naturally. Hell even in the orginal gta game there was gang activity in vespucci so. Again logic against gang avoidance for a lack of better term in vespucci is moot. Its mallrats crying for losing pg and lack of fear rp agaisnt real gangs.
  2. Exactly. To say they are not is pretty dumb imo.
  3. And its concentrated into a few blocks, none in the pier iirc, as someone had mentioned about irl santa Monica not having a high crime rate, trying to group venice with santa Monica, while sharing the same beach front, isnt the same area nor demographic. Gang activity in proximity to boujee areas still spills into rich areas. To me, this sounds like mall rats getting hard with gang members and not rping fear and losing when they pull PF guns. Simplest solution, when dealing with actual fucking gangs, dont act like a john which hero, which seems to be an issue with mallrats anyways.
  4. Hell a simple google search of venice gangs will show you that gang activity is still present in venice. Shoreline crips, etc etc. Whiteboys who dont claim territory, they are still active regardless if it's a "tourist hot spot". To say that criminals and gangs don't operate in a tourist destination is delusional, even in broad daylight. Yeah, it may be a dumb move to jack someone up or blast on someone in broad daylight in a populated area, but let's face it it happens. Is it smart. No. But it happens.
  5. It's a gentrified area, there are still holdouts. Much like a lot of areas of my city, the northend is/was gentrified by hipsters. There are still gangs and criminals active in the neighborhoods. Holdouts and the like, fuck. Venice beach irl still has active gangs, and not only, it's been a tourist spot in the 80s and 90s. Tourists spots are still active hotspots for criminal activity. I mean, what better way to sell dope, you got a shit load of people congregating in one area, your bound to sell some grass or coke to tourists, especially when they dont have a local hook up. Even easier to catch an unexpected fanny packer and jack them up, happens here all the time, in a tourist centric city. Sounds more like people whining because they got caught lackin.

    Rat bike speed

Yeah dont mind me. I'm just an idiot. I legit thought it was because of the bike. If an admin wants to delete this by all means, do so.

    Rat bike speed

It may. I haven't tested that, hell I didn't even know that was a thing.

    Rat bike speed

Up the rat bike speed. Yes, it's a dingy bike. Yes it costs a pathetic 8k or so, but a 50 MPH limit on it is foolish. If that thing is so beat to (for a lack of better terms) shit that it can't pass 50 MPH, it shouldn't be road worthy at all to be sold. At least push the speed up to 80 or 90 so it can hit highway speeds. Not trying to knock admin decisions on it, but t is pretty silly to limit the speed to 50.
  9. For realism, dedicated tobacconist in north America are pretty far and few between, if there is one in a town ,its usually just the one or maybe two, usually located in tourist area, and more than likely they sell either foreign imports or high end tobacco products like cigars and high end pipe tobacco and tobacco paraphernalia. You normally dont find let's say, Marlboros or camels in a tobacconist shop. With the major pushes against the tobacco industry, and less people smoking these days, tobacconist shops are a dying breed. Unless they dedicate themselves to the small market of high end pipe and cigars. As for liquor, depending on state or province, usually get beer in the grocery store or corner store and have to go to a dedicated liquor store for harder stuff. Not to mention the RP aspect of this. Tobacco stores are dead. Most people just go to them just to get their cigarette items and leave just as quick, while the stores like robs and 24/7 are usually hubs for players. Got my support.
