  1. Route 68 24/7 is a strategically located general store, being the only one in the middle of Grand Señora Desert that supplies and offers household goods and fresh groceries for the population in the desert areas of the county, upholding a certain degree of importance for the community and due to its services which are scarcely found in the aforementioned area. The groceries sold are at best a day old and the company keeps a fresh, steady influx of new merchandise and foodstuffs. The business not only supports local farms and ranches, but also provides much needed quality services for a range of small cities in the outskirts of Los Santos, serving the entirety of Blaine County. 2. Hello! This suggestion kind of goes along with MY OTHER PW SUGGESTION, so feel free to compare them two and see whether they're serviceable for our server or not. The idea: Quite simple in theory, not sure if easy to implement (by our devs). Make it so every LSGOV's member of the Department of Public Works (or every LSGOV faction member, but only PW members are allowed to use it) has free and unlimited access to both the garbageman and mechanic script jobs and all their features. Why?: As you may or may not know (check the thread I linked above for more info), LSGOV's Public Works is responsible for quite the list of responsibilities across the state. Among those, of course, you can encounter the city cleaning and maintenance duties which obviously also entails garbage collection (script garbageman job) and the maintenance of a multitude of government/agency vehicle fleets which, needless to say, require the functionalities of a scripted garage and the script mechanic job. We already have the garage. However, to properly perform the mechanic or cleaning duties, we have to sacrifice a scripted job slot, choose only one of them, and keep juggling between them two every 13 in-game hours as we deem necessary to fully perform our IC duties. This is a liability for the faction itself and creates an unnecessary attrition that prevents us from performing our intended activities in a timely manner. A small bonus idea: As a legal faction, unlike LEO and/or Medical factions, LSGOV's PW has very little to offer in terms of community interaction. Most, if not all, of PW's RP (excluding towing vehicles) has little to zero player interaction. We don't benefit the community in any palpable way, such as saving/healing a downed player and offering them proper medical RP opportunities, or acting as a police force to suppress crime-driven characters and offer them realistic law enforcement RP and whatnot. No. Public Works is all about... Public Works. Repairs, maintenance, fleet management, logistics, city asset preservation, construction, etc. So, in my humble opinion and, an OPINION I might reiterate: I honestly believe that LSGOV's PW, as an unique legal faction, should receive an hourly paycheck compensation in addition to their weekly paycheck, but only if they're actively on /duty (check my other suggestion) and a very small paycheck at that, of say, 1000$ (all normal business jobs pay 4000$ per hour for comparison). This should be done to further encourage Public Work employees to do precisely what they're supposed to do across the city, knowing full well that they will most likely create their own passive RP and experience very little player interaction. It's suddenly much more compelling to repair a street light, paint a wall, clean grafitti from residential districts, shovel dirt and debris out of county roads, etc.. if you know that you're getting paid for your passive RP and the realistic, immersive scenario you're promoting by doing your IC job. You could argue that our weekly paycheck should already cover this and there is no need for more monetary compensation for our RP, but it is my belief that LSGOV's PW should be treated as an exception to the norm as the nature of our RP is quite unique and doesn't really benefit anyone or generate more RP opportunities for the average player, outside of the odd car tow for LEO factions of course but that only happens during peak server time and rarely at that. We have to create our own fun all the time and often alone and, while I understand that this is a structural problem at its core, I still think that a small money injection should be enough to motivate the average worker.
  3. I already kind of perform many "construction worker" RP activities in-game whilst being in the Los Santos Government faction, working for their Department of Public Works. Yes, the "job" itself is not scripted and, therefore, you don't have to type any specific commands to do your thing. You just perform passive RP with your buddies and whatnot whenever you want, and in 7 irl days you receive your government employee paycheck which is quite huge for a new player who needs money. With that being said, I don't think the purpose of this suggestion is that useful for the server. You can seek either a legal faction to go after that RP or join a company that does. So, my humble opinion is NO, not needed.
  4. Hello! After some internal faction discussion, I've been encouraged to share my idea with the community with regards to LSGOV's Department of Public Works. This particular suggestion is quite simple: Add a new entry to the /onduty list showcasing available Public Workers and add a /duty script functionality for LOSGOV that only Public Works may utilize while performing their duties to go along with that. Why?: If you're not already aware of their purpose, LSGOV's PW is mainly (but not only) responsible for the realistic portrayal of vehicle towing/transport operations for law enforcement factions. They essentially support LEO factions when it comes to the aftermath of arrests and/or pursuits, utilizing their own government issued flatbeds/towtrucks to handle impound and transport requests on behalf of law enforcement factions to expedite their process. Much like Coroners or, say, Mechanics in our server, those two roles they are displayed on the /onduty list so the playerbase may check whether it's encouraged/necessary to call upon those players to help them further develop their roleplay or not. Public Workers play a rather big part on the closure of RP incidents involving LEO factions and, therefore, in my opinion, having them publicly displayed would benefit every player in the server but specially LEO factions who are seeking realistic logistic operations RP with LSGOV. If you're still not convinced, let me add that PW is not only involved with mere towing RP. Any governmental department or agency CAN call upon Public Works for, say, fix a broken hydrant or repair a street light post after a successful pursuit; seal a hole in the ground caused by incidents; assist in traffic stop operations; remove debris/clear out specific spots in the city or county; perform engine script repair on government/agency's fleet vehicles; etc. I could go on but the list of available RP opportunities is nearly unlimited, and having our PW boys displayed on /onduty would tell the world they are ready to enhance your RP.
  5. I reeeeeally like SAPR. They're super cool and it's always a pleasant experience to come across them in-game. My character is a part-time hunter and frequents the forests quite often to hunt game and he has bumped into SAPR units patrolling said wilderness a lot of times. It has actually helped me shape some key points of my character's thoughts and opinions over the course of a few weeks due to our IC interactions. To be honest, I subconsciously promised myself to never join any LEO faction in GTAW when I joined the server but SAPR was the first, in 4 years, to actually make me change my mind. The character I'm trying to portray just fits the Ranger's mindset too perfectly. That isn't to say I WILL attempt joining if the opportunity ever arises, but I'm very tempted to. Keep it up, guys. Your RP is amazing.
