  2. Undzer ShtikThe Jewish Mob originated in the United States during the 19th century, from within urban Jewish neighborhoods of the Northeast. Otherwise known as the Kosher Nostra or Undzer Shtik, the Jewish Mob is among the country's oldest criminal groups. Similar to the Italian and Irish gangs, the Jewish gangsters had a violent start in late 19th century New York City. Barbarism in the street was the modus operandi of numerous Jewish gangs, notably the Eastman Crew and Lenox Avenue Gang. Vicious fighting with Italian and Irish gangs for dominance was common at the time. Jewish Mobs experienced a Golden Age from the 1920s to the 50s, during Prohibition and after. Relations with Italian and Irish gangs were normalized and co-operative, with bloodshed finally subsiding. Alcohol smuggling, gambling and other rackets were facilitated with the Irish and Italians across the United States. Legendary leaders like Arnold Rothstein, Bugsy Siegel, Mickey Cohen and Meyer Lansky emerged during this period. Some of these gangsters directed international mob activity in the Caribbean and Canada. The Jewish Mob has been given credit for the foundation of Las Vegas in the 1940s and 50s. Partnerships with La Cosa Nostra included Murder Inc and the National Crime Syndicate, lasting from the 1920s to the 60s.Following World War 2, American Jewish mafia families declined around the country. The old Jewish gangs of the Northeast, Midwest and Pacific's major cities faded away. Economic conditions for American Jews improved post-war, with many achieving success in mainstream society. Urban enclaves were also gentrified while the Jewish population shifted away. Therefore, justifications for distinct organizations were erased. Many veteran gangsters and bosses were murdered, imprisoned or retired to Israel over several decades. Without centralized leadership similar to the Commission, Jewish crime had almost collapsed by the 1990s. Other emergent groups, such as Eurasian and Israeli mobs, have since eclipsed the original American Jewish mafia. New York City, Miami and Los Santos have experienced a rebirthing of Jewish gangsterism over the last thirty years. Most Russian and all Israeli mafia bosses in the United States are of Jewish descent. Jewish American gangsters on both coasts are either independent or affiliated with immigrant mobsters. Jewish criminals remain highly regarded associates of the Five Families in the 2020s.Although Jewish gangsters are still part of criminal gangs and organizations, they've assimilated into the mainstream American underworld. Home-grown groups are typically indistinguishable from the common white American criminal. However, so-called legacy mobs continue activity in Los Santos, New York City and Miami. These organizations work in isolation from Russian and Israeli mobs and don't normally recruit foreigners. They claim lineage from the first Jewish Mob families of the late 19th century. Traditional blue-collar crimes have mostly been phased out of the Jewish Mob, with financial crime and political corruption becoming the mob's mainstay. Police departments and the FBI consider the original Jewish Mob to be active and numbering in the several hundreds across the country. OOC:We aim to portray a small tight-knit group of Jewish American gangsters in Los Santos. This project depicts the remnants of the Los Santos Jewish Mob, which has existed for over 100 years In Character. We do not intend to become a multi-national crime group; foreign Jews are allowed but remain the exception. We also aren't wishing to become a sprawling faction at any point. We can be joined through IC interactions, or if you'd like to collaborate with our project, you can message damask / loanshark over the forum PMs. This thread is best viewed in Dark Mode.

  3. Detailed Description Before we start I really want to put up a disclaimer: I fully understand that donator features are there to keep the server paid for and running, and I do not wish to change that. Donator perks are necessary but I believe they are often best kept for cosmetic perks mostly, removing a functional paid feature such as this one doesn't mean that you can't bring a paid cosmetic feature in exchange, cats and dogs, custom numbers and plates are a good example of a cosmetic perk which isn't necessary for RP. I implore you to read through my points before jumping to conclusions about this suggestion. Business blips and /bad are one of the most important assets of the server, they allow people to create RP hotspots and bring their own ideas to life, yet they are hidden behind a donator perk. The reason this is a bad thing, is that it's effectively limiting the amount of visible businesses on the map to that of active donators owning said businesses. Those donators will most likely want to own bars, clubs, casinos because these businesses are the most profitable. I don't blame them for wanting to make profit, but I believe this is at fault for the lack of variety in the business scene there currently is on the server, especially during early hours where the player count is 200-300 where there could still be a reasonable amount of RP going on. We do have different businesses such as art galleries, a few odd clothing and accessories/perfume stores here and there, yet these are not as common and popular as they should be and them standing less out means they're struggling as it is, now imagine not having access to a blip and being practically invisible to people. We need bars, we need clubs, and we need casinos, but these are not the only businesses that are needed to create RP, even during the evening/night. I've heard countless business ideas that were great, but ultimately were not put into practice because it turned out not to be profitable for the player who has to invest OOC money into it, which is a shame because this effectively decreases creativity with businesses in favor of the most profitable options. Again, wanting profit is understandable, but it should not get to the point where people are constrained to a specific type of RP because other options are not available/visible. The point here is ultimately to bring choice to players. People should be able to choose where they want to RP without having to rely solely on a handful of people that are sticking to the same business formulas solely because of profit. - Think of it this way, currently, during peak hours, let's say you have maybe 4-5 clubs/bars open through the whole map, and 3 or so businesses related to something else. What if you could double or triple that number, except with a wider variety of businesses which would allow the playerbase to spread out more on the map? Relevant Commands/Items N/A. How will it benefit the server? - You would see a surge in a wide range of both day time and night time related businesses. - You would encourage more people to be creative with the businesses they want to make, instead of bringing a focus on profit alone, they could afford thinking out of the box more, instead of having to stick to a business formula that almost guarantees their success. - By allowing people to get more creative with their businesses, you would spread out people more on the map which could in turn make Paleto bay, Grapeseed, Sandy Shores more relevant in the RP scene because it would no longer be constrained to profitable business options only. This won't make the server a barren wasteland, in fact I could argue that it will make it a little more lively, as people will be inclined to move from A to B, to C to even D, instead of strictly from A to B when going places, because there would be more choice available to them. Here's an example of an A to B: "Hey, you want to have a drink? There's like 4 bars open right now, let's go to the closest one." "Yep. Let's go." Here's an A to B to C to D example: "Hey dude, the bowling alley is open in Sandy, you want go to there? We could go to that new escape room in Vinewood after if you feel up for it, maybe grab a drink after that?" "Hell yeah man, I'll head home real fast let's meet at [opened fast-food joint] when I'm done preparing. Kinda wish the arcade was still a thing though." - Clubs and bars will still be just as present and popular, but they won't be one of the only main choices that people have. If people want to go to bars and clubs for RP, having a few more other businesses on the map will not change their willingness to go to these clubs and bars if that is where they want to go. All in all, I don't really see any real downsides brought to the RP scene with this, it would allow for more accessibility and a wider range of choice for people to both create and participate in all kinds of RP. At the very least, if you don't want the entirety of these functions to be free, make them limited to users, for example only a limited amount of /bad per day, or something that still allows them to be visible at the very least. Thank you for reading.

  4. “Escape the hustle and bustle of city life with a trip to beautiful rural Blaine County. Only a few miles away from Los Santos in terms of distance but a million miles away in terms of general outlook on the world, Blaine County is a place to enjoy a simpler life from a forgotten time. Visit Blaine County. Don't be a stranger; they don't like them.” Rather than being one organized gang, they appear to be a collection of rural citizens, most of them having large implications in criminal activities. It's little known, though, to the public eye that most of the rednecks living in Blaine County are active in the methamphetamine drug trade. Most of the rednecks dress in a manner not unlike that of regular Blaine County denizens, making them though to distinguish. Its members are exclusively white males, and consist of either thin young men or overweight aging men. However, The Farrows, specifically, can often be found carrying tattoos of specific methamphetamine drugs on their backs, symbolizing their hate relationship with the local officers that are often hurt for even answering to phone calls that lead into their territory. Most of the rednecks up in Blaine County were formed mostly by republicans. Today, their political affiliation is mostly apathetic and young men are actually less involved in politics due to the nature of their life style. However, the old ones are still hard on about who and why leads, and will often be found ranting away on their porches, sometimes even becoming violent and attacking anyone who affiliates with the said party. Other activities that The Farrows are involved today are the more usual ones, such as: poaching, fishing, hunting, moonshine illegal trade, theft and other things. Notably, their most proficient activity is drug trafficking. They will largely be involved in any kind of drug trafficking that happens on their territory. Few things to know: most rednecks are not necessarily poor and not necessarily farmers, although rednecks can certainly be each of these things. What differentiates rednecks from poor whites is the perception of rednecks are racists, hot-headed, too physical, violent, uncouth, loud, mean, undereducated—and proud of it. The stereotypes follow: rednecks do not adopt politically correct speech and are proud to be brutally honest about their feelings about nonwhites. Rednecks like to fight to solve their problems, preferring to beat someone at a street dance than to talk about the problem and solve it diplomatically. Rednecks are proud hunters and they will take over a mountain if someone stands between them and the hunted animal. Side note: We're looking to portray a realistic concept of today's "redneck" idea. We forbid any kind of trolling, and we stand by the community's rules for imposing sanctions. If you have any questions, don't shy away from sending a PM to me.
